Breakfast The Basic Burrito With Meat
    Anthony L.

This is actually Mr. D's Dinner but for take out only through UBER EATS only. I truly love this place and didn't know they handled deliveries. Well now we all know. Definitely will use this place when I can't get out and dine in-person.

The company name is very misleading, the address actually leads you to D's Restaurant

The company name is very misleading, the address leads you to D's Restaurant BUT you can only order these burritos through Uber eats?!!!! - So extremely disappointing I'm literally just wanting to drive in and pick up for a quick team breakfast! Ain't no one for time for this

Supposed to be their basic breakfast burrito with two meats.

One of the most greasy and disgusting burritos I've ever eaten a complete waste of 25 dollars.

I'm not usually a Mexican food kind of person, so this was a pleasant surprise. The cheese was flavorful, and the ground beef and beans added so much to every bite too! And of course, you can never go wrong with sour cream haha. I wasn't planning on taking leftovers this time, so one of the servers recommended I get the small instead of the large, and I'm glad I listened! Even the "small" was still super loaded and filling. I was struggling to finish it by the end haha. All in all, I would definitely come back again and reorder the Nachos lol. One of our friends got the La Paloma Wings, and they looked so appetizing that I'm already thinking about trying those next time! The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful with all my questions, which made the experience that much more enjoyable!!

I've driven past this spot countless times on Foothill Blvd. over the years, but this was our first time stopping in. Since it was right before Christmas, the place was dolled up with holiday decorations-- poinsettias, garland, and even a few beautiful amaryllis bulbs in bloom. Our server was a young kid, but most people are younger than me nowadays. Salsa never ran empty, chips were warm and plentiful on the table. I enjoyed the two item combo, and it was good. This restaurant reminded me of the old days going to Acapulco restaurant with my family when I was a kid-- the outside of the building may be modest, but the inside is the kind of old-school restaurant that hearkens back to a different time. As another reviewer said, it's somehow "nostalgic."

The gorgeous bride and I are always excited to try new (to us) Mexican restaurants, not only to…read moreshare our love of what is arguably our fave cuisine but in hopes of pinpointing new additions to our arsenal of regular restaurants. After trying Chef José's Zacatecan style fare, consider a new addition bullseyed and pinpointed! I'd stumbled in here a few nights ago- Mexico had just defeated a hearty South Korea squad in their second WC game, clinching the Group for El Tri and creating a palpable buzz among the Green/Orange & Red clad partisans who'd thronged El Ranchero... Leti and I shared a bowl of hearty Albondigas Soup to start- This is probably the finest restaurant take on the soup we've ever sampled! Most places will serve watery, tomato/carrot dense broths w/ a nominal, wan meatball. Not El Ranchero! Here, the soup is lovingly ladled w/ copious amounts of carrot, onion, cabbage and yes even a trio of meatballs. Hearty, decadent soup! We also shared a Jamaica Margarita. On the plus side it's $13 tab is decently priced- but if we are honest the drink was weaker than the Trump Administration is on corruption! Leti chose Shrimp Fajitas, which arrived steaming...Multiple fat shrimp partying w/ grilled onions + peppers. I went w/ a two item combo- A fantastic duo of machaca filled enchilada y taco. The machaca was everything you love re: that protein- Stringy, crispy and well seasoned. Xochitl was our server on this late SAT afternoon as the sun began its lazy descent to the western horizon. The rest of the restaurant staff were busily prepping the banquet room for a graduation party- So poor Xoxhitl was jamming like a trio of cats playing w/ a dozen mice. She was even mixing drinks in between serving her sextet of tables! Pro Tip- You can add a side salad or soup to most entrees for $3.99- Just ask! Our bill was $84 and for two plentiful entrees, a large if wan margarita and a side of wondrous, soul-warming soup...plus tax and tip. It's very easy to see why El Ranchero Claremont is a buzzing hub of its community- We've added El Ranchero to our must-visit Mexican staples. So should you.
