Carne Asada, Gallopinto, Tajadas, Queso Frito, repollo and their house made picante.

The first time I ever had Nicaraguan food was when I lived in Miami. They have tons of Nica places in Miami called Fritanga's. Anyone from Miami knows these places and knows that the food is amazing there. Is this place as good as a Fritanga? Almost. Not quite 100% but DEFINITELY the closest you'll get in Atlanta to real Nicaraguan food. Service was good but I went for lunch on a Friday and wasn't packed at all. There is alot of authentic Nica decorations and clothing on the walls. Very quaint little restaurant with a nice bar. Now the most important part. The food. I got the Carne Asada. It was good. They use a bit more garlic than most places in Miami but still good. I should have asked for mine a little more towards medium as mine was well but it was tender and not rubbery. The queso frito...ON POINT. Just like the Fritangas in Miami. The gallopinto is good but you need to make sure you ask for the picante. It's signature in those Nica places and it makes the gallopinto almost exactly like Miami. Tajadas (Marequitas almost anywhere else) are good. Crispy and salted well. The ensalada was the only let down. The Fritangas in Miami soak the repollo in their picante and give it to you in a little bag. Makes it more of a pickled salad and it is SO GOOD. They don't do that here so the repollo is average. All in all very good food. Was going to give it 4 stars but that is because I'm comparing it to Miami but the truth is for Atlanta, it's a 5. It's VERY close what you'd get in Miami which has amazing Nica food. I'll definitely go back.

It's so rare to come across a 100% Nicaragüense restaurant! Came here for breakfast about 10am on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking and several groups enjoying themselves. No wait. Plenty of tables. Our server was lovely and spoke some English. The menu is in both Spanish and English. I ordered the Managua breakfast which was so much food and so delicious! Of course they had cacao agua fresca- Omg so good. They also have a bar and several TVs, some Nicaraguan pantry items and artesanal products to purchase. The store is clean and they have restrooms. They do live music in the evenings so I will definitely be back for that.

This is a Nicaraguan restaurant.. i saw it just driving by, and since I have been to Managa, and there is maybe just one other Nicaraguan restaurant in Georgia I stopped to eat. The waitress reccomended the Carbe Asada so I went with that. It was pretty good. Came with thin dried plantain strips, and fresh fried plantain which is a lot better than dried strips. They add a 15% tip. Food came real fast even with other diners

The food was SO good and the ladies were so friendly, helpful and hard working!

Too expensive for what you get. Kind of disorganized service. These Latin restaurants are pricey for a simple meal.

I had gotten here around 4:30PM and went to the pool table, I had been waiting close to 15-20 minutes to be served. I just went to the bartender with a slicked back bun and wearing a burgundy shirt named "T" to ask for a drink since my friend had gotten there before me and said she had taken his order prior to me getting there. After waiting about 3 minutes at the bar, she approached me and rudely asked if I had been sitting by the pool tables. I replied and said "yes I'm sitting near the pool tables" and she responded rudely again and said she couldn't take my order and the server sitting in my section would take it. I had told her "okay, well I have been sitting here for a while waiting to be served and I wanted to order a drink" and she responded and said "well we didn't see you over there, go back to your table and I'll get your server" The server named Dom, took my order and I asked him for her name since he either saw/heard what happened. Bless his heart for trying to rectify the situation by bringing the food out quickly and being more pleasant. What makes the story worse, is that this bartender (after she yelled at me) went back to the pool tables where we were sitting to take away plates for another table she had already served and they were sitting one table over from us. So she served them (males) and my friend (another male) and felt like she refused to help or serve me. Overall, I would come back but definitely steering clear of that rude bartender that was very sarcastic and had a nasty attitude. Definitely go there on weekend nights when different bartenders are working and aren't as rude.
