Decided to stop here on Friday night for dinner (2/21/20). Not bad Mexi food for the Montco area. I don't have to venture into Ambler to one of my fave Taquieras. Tacos are $9 for 3. You can mix the flavors. I chose 2-al pastor and 1-chicken tinga. The al pastor was okayyy. I like my al pastor just a tad bit sweeter. Loved the chicken tinga. Better half enjoyed his pollo and pescado tacos. Even the calamari we started with was tasty. Dining area is nicely decorated. Free parking. We'll be returning! read more

First time patrons (my mom and I). I discovered this establishment because I work for Doordash and was sent there to pickup a delivery order. I grabbed a menu and my mom said she wanted to try it. We are vegetarian and both got Veggie burritos and she got the house made guac and chips. The food was fresh, made delicious, and was well worth the money. When we ordered I have to admit I was skeptical at $17 per burrito plate but I highly recommend it and reassure anyone reading this that it is worth the money. I will return for sure. Coming from Philadelphia to this area and ate dinner here to kill some time. It was the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. Everything was super fresh, authentic, and delicious. This place has the best black beans I have ever had. So yummy the rice is really good. My husband had the carne asada that was fork tender. This place is a hidden gem. I almost don't want to review it. This charming Mexican BYOB brings all of the authentic tastes and feels of Mexico into a cozy hacienda with outdoor seating. But the best part of the experience is the food. From start to finish the food was outstanding. Complimentary chips and pico de gaillo are brought out to start. We ordered the guacamole which was a generous portion, beautifully seasoned and served with homemade tortilla chips. We had the steak tacos, Mexican quesadilla and chicken fajitas. The fajitas come with black beans, Mexican rice, sour cream and more guacamole. I didn't even mention that margaritas are complimentary. We finished with the churros and ice cream with caramel sauce. Love the food here!! One of my favorites. They recently changed their prices and don't tell anyone before ordering. Add $7.00-$10.00 onto anything you order. According to the menu my food should have been $28.00 but my bill came out to almost $42.00. Wasn't happy about that. They should at least tell the customers. I saw some good reviews and the menu sounded great, so I was excited about finding a new Mexican restaurant. Ordered online and arrived a bit early but my food was ready and the service at the counter was smooth and efficient. The rest of my experience goes downhill from here. Hey Im on a road trip 8pm with my daughter attempting to locate her tattoo shop where she is going tomorrow. The road trip is a practice run so the area is somewhat familiar to her. The things a dad will do. So now we are hungry, its the second snow storm so snow is everywhere. Time to go to my trusty YELP app so my fellow members can guide me. Low and behold we arrive at Mi Mex and its open WOOHOO! In we go the decor is very vibrant and the seating area is very clean. Two other parties have joined in. My daughter orders the tacos and I get the enchiladas. Not a big wait and the food comes out. Very good portions and along with my rice and beans I am very pleased with the meal. My daughter has also enjoyed hers. The food was fresh with a lot of different flavors, the place was very clean and the waiter was extremely nice. I will def. return if Im up in this area again. Heading North on 309 my eyes caught the colorful building and I noticed the name Mi Mex. I decided to try it , I love Mexican food and have tried too many Mexican restaurants to mention. This place is the jawn as us philly people say. The best quality and taste I have ever had. The only negatives are , it's real small and the servers are not very friendly but other than that, 5 star! We have Mi Mex a chance as a local restaurant but unfortunately it did nit live up to the other reviews you may read. We found the service to be painfully slow, the food was average at best and a few items appeared to be made ahead of time and re-heated when ordered. The salsa and guacamole were ok but everything else just missed the mark. We were hoping to find good authentic Mexican and Mi Mex just didn't live up to expectations. read more

Well deserving of this 5 rating especially given that our new reality dining out is now takeout. I couldn't wait to get home with this delicious smelling dinner of mine! Ordering was simple and they offered curbside pickup ... note they definitely took safety measures (mask/gloves). I've got one word that describes their food - FLAVOR! If anyone is a fan of Guy Fieri Mi Mex is Flavortown for sure. I talking every single item we ordered was packed w/flavor and when I say that I mean deliciousness. I ordered the carne asada w/the roasted jalapeños n cactus. Wow can I say mind blown it was so good! The kids got chicken, beef and al pastor tacos. It was funny to see my teenage son's expression w/every taco he ate. He was like mom seriously best chicken taco I've ever had and then he ate the pork followed by the beef. Each time same statement but he said out of the 3 he said his favorite was the beef and then caveats that it's because he just loves beef! My daughter agreed that this place was fire! My only ask (if you're reading this owners of Mi Mex) please add elote to your menu! Honeymoon can't wait til we can dine in and have the mouthwatering dishes straight from the kitchen to our table! Just stopped in with my husband and he cleared his plate. I would have if I could eat any more. We had the fajitas and complementary chips with salsa. WOW! Food and service was AWESOME.
