Love the new location! Wowsers! Were thrilled to have Mi Piaci so much closer to home! Finally opened and we stopped by. We asked if they still offered the Southern Jimmy and the bartender casually answered "I invented it." Score!! Amazing drinks. Took pictures of all the food. Everything was absolutely delicious! cant wait to come back! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Love the new location and great service and yummy food! We plan to be here often!

I made reservations for Valentine's Day for my girlfriend and I this year and since I am from out of town, I wanted to surprise her with a place that served really good food and felt romantic. After doing some research, I stumbled upon Mi Piaci online and saw how many people praised it. Let me just say, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! The menu was exclusive, due to the holiday, but the restaurant communicated that effectively via email and even calling me personally to warn me. We came out STUFFED!!! Portions were generous, the service was exemplary. We were treated like royalty! My girlfriend loved the food and the Valentine's Day decorations. It was an intimate spot and whenever I am back in town, I would definitely return here! Thank you to all the Mi Piaci staff for making our day so special and for the great attention you gave us.

Located in a vibrant corner of El Paso, "Mi Piaci invites you to a sophisticated taste of Italian food. The restaurante Italiano blends contemporary design with a soft lit ambiance and romantic old-European charm. The new location is much closer to my home; so that is definitely and selfishly a big plus. Facing Franklin High School, this is a trattoria style restaurant that is welcoming you with a large inviting bar. An open dining room with intimate nooks and comfortable leather bench. Some of the menu highlights include some classical pasta dishes like Lasagna al Forno; Spaghetti Bolognese. Fettuccine Alfredo and Cacio di Pepe. The service was friendly but unfortunately our waitress could barely speak as she had a cold - this is unfortunately this time of the year. The Bruschetta bread was way too oily and too thin for my taste. The chef ought to use French baguettes rubbed with garlic that is my humble opinion. The gnocchi were also slightly too tough. So not everything was up to the hype. This said, my Bolognese meat balls and tomatoes sauce were excellent. The staff is young and engaged and the owner-chef kindly visits each table to make sure that everything was up to expectations. So there is definitely a private and charming touch at Mj Piaci. Pasta are a on the expensive side $25-28 per dish. So this is more a place for special occasions.

The food service, ambiance and food was very good however, all of a sudden in the middle of our dinner there was a poignant unpleasant aroma like a sewer issue that just engulfed the entire restaurant and none of the servers said a word. Also, this restaurant has a Yelp offer for a free Bruschetta appetizer with the purchase of 2 dinners and it was NOT Honored - the excuse I was given was that it was available only during the pandemic and no longer valid because they couldn't get it off of the Yelp page! WOW! Bad business...our total tab plus gratuity was $225.00 - might just skip this place the next time around....good luck!

Stopped here for a late lunch. We had Carbonara, Veal and some desert- tiramisu and lava cake. The staff was very polite and welcoming. They were able to do a small portion for my son. However my pasta was a bit too salty and the veal was lacking some flavor. That being said this is the best Italian here in El Paso. Do not go with this to Italy but with what is available in the area this is by far best Italian, best ambience for Italian and top notch service.

This year me and my gal pals agreed to not give traditional Christmas gifts, but instead give each other the most precious gift of all- the gift of our time. We decided that getting together for a real nice dinner and spending a few hours talking and laughing was better than anything else. We decided to go to Mi Piaci and we' were not disappointed; dinner and service were fabulous. We started with a few appetizers, the eggplant was to die for and the bruschetta was so good. We ordered a plate of pasta to share - the gnocchi al forno, and scalloped with polenta, sea bass and other amazing dishes for the main course. We washed everything down with several espressos and cappuccinos that went perfectly with the desserts. The cream brûlée was shareable as well as the marscapone with the fresh fruits- it came in a gigantic goblet. They accept military discount and this was the icing on the cake for us. Our waiter, Carlos, was attentive and took good care of us- just what the gals needed! They are having a New Year's Eve celebration with a special menu and music- time to get out my party dress!

It became a special treat for our family while visiting our Tía in home hospice--and one of her last, most joyful bites. Food and our family's recipes are at the heart of who we are, so hearing my Tía Emma call it "magnificent" meant everything. While, we didn't dine in, we noted the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill on our two visits. Please note, this place get packed on weekend nights. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

The staff was incredibly accommodating, and our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and so helpful with recommendations. The wedge salad was the standout of the night, generously portioned, perfect for sharing, and absolutely delicious. The pesto spaghetti was equally impressive, with a beautifully balanced sauce that wasn't overpowering. I ordered the miso black cod, which was cooked perfectly and beautifully flaky. While it leaned a bit salty for my taste, the quality of the dish still stood out. The ambiance is dark and intimate, perfect for an upscale dinner, and the iPad menus were a helpful modern touch. Never have I ever experienced a flashlight being used over our food to prove a non-valid point. At this point, I was so freakin hungry that I did not want to argue, and so I ate the dry steak. I was finna get the 6oz sirloin, which I have before and it's nice. Then I saw the 8oz Helen breast anyway you want it. Mmm I think I'll get that instead. Then I'm scanning on down the list and see 8 oz chopped round. With mushroom gravy. I can't do potatoes right now but I could do rice. And add a salad bar and some steamed broccoli, still only be about $21 and that's with the ice tea. And fresh baked bread and butter at the table. So I ordered that with gravy in the rice, cuz I likes gravy on it ALL, and I did add the Broccoli for $3.95 and a salad bar for $4.95. But she let me hold putting in the order so I could get most is the salad are before they started it. So I get it fresh, not sitting on my table for 20 minutes getting cold like last time I came when I barely got back to the table with the salad and they brought my steak out. The cook FAST here. Salad bar here is IMMENSE. And so many choices for salad, Romain, mixed greens or spinach, tons of toppings and at least 10 different kinds of dressings. At least 6 different what I call "prepared" salads like macaroni, potato, carrot, pea salad, beets and onion salad, some kind of angel hair with green online and bell peppers on olive oil and black pepper and a dash of vinegar? It's so good when they have it. Two soups always, today was tortilla and vegetable, which upon inspection looked more like a creamy potato with carrots and other veggies and diced potatoes of course, maybe they just had not changed it's name plate. I make a wonderful salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love chilled plates. When my lunch/dinner came it was on a huge round plate, the ground round was suspiciously SMALL. I used to work in a cafeteria and we sold 8oz chipped steaks and they were rice the size of what was in my plate. It actually really looked more like a hamburger patty. It would have fit perfectly on a small hamburger bun. If I had to guess I'd say head it's 1/3rd pound burger. Which is a tic over 5 oz. Not 8 ounces. The brucellosis was a large serving and bright green, and almost still raw. I could not cut it with a fork. I had to used a steak knife. I should have asked that it be steamed fork tender. That's on me, I guess. I just don't like "steamed" broccoli that still could pass as salad bar accoutrement. There was no gravy in the rice, even thought I expressly asked for gravy in the meat and rice. So as she sat the plate in front of me and asked if I needed any this else I said "gravy" and she said oh that's right it was supposed to be on the rice, I'll get some gravy. And a minute or so later another smiling lady brought me small bowl of gravy. The sweet tea was perfect. I even had a refill on that. The ground steak was cooked nicely, juicy and hot, the mushroom gravy was very flavorful and the rice pilaf was a perfect companion to it. I forgot to take pics, sorry, I just dug right in. This is still a great early dinner price and great choices. I'm definitely gonna get the 8 ounce chicken breast your way, next time. But which way shall I choose??? Decisions, decision!
