I made reservations for Valentine's Day for my girlfriend and I this year and since I am from out of town, I wanted to surprise her with a place that served really good food and felt romantic. After doing some research, I stumbled upon Mi Piaci online and saw how many people praised it. Let me just say, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! The menu was exclusive, due to the holiday, but the restaurant communicated that effectively via email and even calling me personally to warn me. We came out STUFFED!!! Portions were generous, the service was exemplary. We were treated like royalty! My girlfriend loved the food and the Valentine's Day decorations. It was an intimate spot and whenever I am back in town, I would definitely return here! Thank you to all the Mi Piaci staff for making our day so special and for the great attention you gave us.

Located in a vibrant corner of El Paso, "Mi Piaci invites you to a sophisticated taste of Italian food. The restaurante Italiano blends contemporary design with a soft lit ambiance and romantic old-European charm. The new location is much closer to my home; so that is definitely and selfishly a big plus. Facing Franklin High School, this is a trattoria style restaurant that is welcoming you with a large inviting bar. An open dining room with intimate nooks and comfortable leather bench. Some of the menu highlights include some classical pasta dishes like Lasagna al Forno; Spaghetti Bolognese. Fettuccine Alfredo and Cacio di Pepe. The service was friendly but unfortunately our waitress could barely speak as she had a cold - this is unfortunately this time of the year. The Bruschetta bread was way too oily and too thin for my taste. The chef ought to use French baguettes rubbed with garlic that is my humble opinion. The gnocchi were also slightly too tough. So not everything was up to the hype. This said, my Bolognese meat balls and tomatoes sauce were excellent. The staff is young and engaged and the owner-chef kindly visits each table to make sure that everything was up to expectations. So there is definitely a private and charming touch at Mj Piaci. Pasta are a on the expensive side $25-28 per dish. So this is more a place for special occasions.

The food service, ambiance and food was very good however, all of a sudden in the middle of our dinner there was a poignant unpleasant aroma like a sewer issue that just engulfed the entire restaurant and none of the servers said a word. Also, this restaurant has a Yelp offer for a free Bruschetta appetizer with the purchase of 2 dinners and it was NOT Honored - the excuse I was given was that it was available only during the pandemic and no longer valid because they couldn't get it off of the Yelp page! WOW! Bad business...our total tab plus gratuity was $225.00 - might just skip this place the next time around....good luck!

Stopped here for a late lunch. We had Carbonara, Veal and some desert- tiramisu and lava cake. The staff was very polite and welcoming. They were able to do a small portion for my son. However my pasta was a bit too salty and the veal was lacking some flavor. That being said this is the best Italian here in El Paso. Do not go with this to Italy but with what is available in the area this is by far best Italian, best ambience for Italian and top notch service.

This year me and my gal pals agreed to not give traditional Christmas gifts, but instead give each other the most precious gift of all- the gift of our time. We decided that getting together for a real nice dinner and spending a few hours talking and laughing was better than anything else. We decided to go to Mi Piaci and we' were not disappointed; dinner and service were fabulous. We started with a few appetizers, the eggplant was to die for and the bruschetta was so good. We ordered a plate of pasta to share - the gnocchi al forno, and scalloped with polenta, sea bass and other amazing dishes for the main course. We washed everything down with several espressos and cappuccinos that went perfectly with the desserts. The cream brûlée was shareable as well as the marscapone with the fresh fruits- it came in a gigantic goblet. They accept military discount and this was the icing on the cake for us. Our waiter, Carlos, was attentive and took good care of us- just what the gals needed! They are having a New Year's Eve celebration with a special menu and music- time to get out my party dress!

Mi Piaci is the perfect spot for a date night in El Paso. My boyfriend & I came here to celebrate our anniversary last year and really enjoyed it. The bread that was brought to our table was warm & delicious. I ordered the carbonara and added grilled chicken, and my boyfriend chose the pollo alla vodka. We really enjoyed both of the pasta dishes! The atmosphere was perfect for a date or a nice dinner out. Service was great as well. Our only complaint was the price - even for our anniversary, we did spend more than expected on 2 pasta dishes. I would recommend coming here if you're looking for a fancy dining experience!

We ordered the bone marrow appetizer, iceberg wedge, Caesar salad, and two kids meals to go. Unfortunately, nearly every aspect of our order had problems. The bone marrow was excessively salty to the point of being inedible. We tried to salvage it by scraping away the salt, but ultimately had to throw it out, I was not happy as you know bone marrow is not cheaply priced. The salsa macha accompanying it was also missing. My Caesar salad arrived with wilted lettuce literally hanging out of the container, clearly not fresh enough to serve. One kids meal had the wrong side item, no silverware was provided, and our drinks were forgotten entirely. We returned to address these issues, and while the manager was apologetic and remade our order, the replacements were still subpar. My LARGE salad was noticeably smaller than what I originally ordered, and the salsa macha, when finally provided, was very mediocre at best. I've had a lot better. I'm typically understanding when restaurants make one or two mistakes, but when an entire order is executed this poorly, it's hard to overlook. I understand they were busy, but they seriously need to execute better under those conditions. For a chophouse at this price point, the quality and attention to detail should be far better. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

I'd been there once before, though not among the regular folk. Ten years ago, I sat in the private dining hall, watching the cooks tend to ribeyes over an open flame. Those steaks were laid on a grill set at a slant, so the grease dripped away instead of pooling beneath the meat. No shortcuts. No nonsense. Just fire, steel, and beef. This time, I pushed through the restaurant doors like a dusty traveler looking for redemption. Inside, a hungry soul can choose their cut, name their doneness, and pick their fixin's. Sure, there are other offerings on the menu--but I didn't ride all that way for chicken. I ordered the 24-ounce porterhouse they call the Cowgirl. For the truly brave, there's the Cowboy--a two-and-a-half-pound behemoth fit for a cattle drive champion. The steak arrives with a baked potato riding shotgun on the plate. Alongside come cowboy beans, pineapple coleslaw, and warm dinner rolls. And here's the kicker--they'll keep the sides coming if you've got the grit to ask for more. I fought my way through that Cowgirl like it was high noon. Tender, rich, and full of honest flavor--so good it didn't need a drop of sauce. I'll admit, the edges had a touch of toughness, like the desert itself. But that center cut? Smooth as a prairie sunset. Service was sharp and steady, the kind you hope for when you hitch your horse outside. But what truly sets Cattlemen's apart is its solitude. Out there, far from city noise, you're reminded of a quieter time--when towns were few, distances were long, and a good meal after a hard day's ride meant everything. If you're looking for a steakhouse that feels less like a restaurant and more like a scene from an old frontier tale, this is the place. Just bring your appetite--and maybe loosen your belt a notch before you saddle up.

Two of our orders of steaks were ordered as medium-rare, and our steaks were dry AF. I told the waitress that we wanted a new steak, and she brought back the steak while flashing a flashlight over it to defend her cook, saying it is medium-rare and to look at it again. I ordered my prime rib medium rare. What I got was rare in the wrong way. No seasoning crust, no browning, just a floppy cut with a thick tendon and a lot of fat and gristle. Now, I'd never say this place is kid friendly, but Alyssa was very kind to them. We ordered a couple of drinks and some appetizers to munch on before Winterfest. They make good drinks. I went with one of my faves, the cilantro and jalapenos margie, refreshing. Liz went with a guava margarita, sweet. The flatbreads were great. Not filling, and a good shareable. The kids split a a BLT. The calamari is also good. Next time I might think about the Peruvian salmon tiradito. It's a classy joint, it's on our go to list to impress folks, and it has never failed us on location, drinks or eats. It's a nice place to take that special someone. Recommend.

The restaurant's ambiance is striking, featuring Tulum/Riveria Maya-inspired decor that combines elements with modern aesthetics. The use of wood, metals, warm lighting, and overall dining room and outdoor terrace displays and creates an inviting dining experience. Service: The service is attentive and knowledgeable, with server who was eager to recommend several of the restaurant favorites. Not one dish we did not like-all amazing! Culinary Highlights: Mesquite Grilled Spanish octopus was Smokey yet savory. Cooked to perfection also served with Fingerling potatoes and salsa macha The bone-in ribeye (prime) cooked on a firewood grill was a true highlight of the menu, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in preparing a distinctively rich flavor entree. Cooked with beef tallow (no seed oils) chefs kiss Smoked beef short rib was so tender and had Oaxacan quesillo potato purée with tomatillo jam. Simply did not disappoint. Street style corn with chipotle aioli had us all going back for seconds. The sweetness of the corn balances with the smokey, spicy notes of the aioli. Craft Cocktails: Well balanced and wide selection of Tequilas to choose from. I can't say enough good things! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out with friends or family this restaurant is sure to impress. Our Group agreed that it was a meal and experience that will leave lasting impression. We will be back!!!!!

It felt like a place you'd want to hang out for a while. Definitely make a reservation because it fills up quickly. Service was a little slow at times, but our server was super friendly and helpful with recommendations, so it didn't take away too much from the experience. The bone marrow was AMAZING!! Easily one of the highlights of the night. We also ordered the Delmonico with bone marrow butter, which was cooked well and really flavorful. Drinks were great too and very well balanced. Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars, pushing 5. Great atmosphere, good drinks and some really standout dishes.
