    Chicken Parmigiana
    Alex G.

When we first go there, the staff was very friendly and quick. We started off wish a fried calamari and a delicious green chile potato cream soup. Absolutely amazing. For the main course I ordered the chicken parmigiana and build your own pasta. The chicken was lightly breaded and very juicy. The build your own pasta Green chile Alfredo sauce was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the setting was very homey and cozy. They do offer outside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely come back to try something different.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our dinner at The Italian Kitchen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is tucked away on a side street with a small patio and a quaint little dining space and when we arrived we had almost no wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our meal started off with buttery, toasted bread and salads. I had the antipasti salad and it was good but it was an extra $4 (I'd stick with the house or caesar included), but the Italian dressing was made in house which was nice. All the food was yummy! The sauce on the scallopini said "spicy" but it wasn't - it was very good though! The sampler was a good choice too, although the lasagna was the least favorite. The pizza was great! We were very happy with the entree size, we all had leftovers. The restaurant was busy so the service was a little slow but the staff were all very friendly and happy. This definitely beats those big chain Italian places - both in quality and price.

    Nice looking pizza!!!

So yes I am a good Italian home cook, but sometimes I don't have the time to chop, grate, shred, simmer and bake to get great taste. Tonight I ordered delivery from The Italian Kitchen West. I have enough food for about four more meals! What I was impressed with is that they must have read my mind and that I was going to divy it up between several meals so they gave me enough toasted and buttered Italian bread to go with the soup, the lasagna for two meals, the salad and the calamari! So the tiramisu- that did not stand a chance- it is gone! The food was good, very tasty but perfectly seasoned and arrived hot! I had a third of the lasagna and it was so good.

Usually when we come here to eat the food is delicious & the service is good. Tonight my plate arrived and it was cold. The waitress never came back to check on us once. I had to ask for a box to take the food home and heat it up. My daughter's plate was like warm as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has a cute vibe but tonight the people at the table next to us talked so loudly during our entire dinner that we could not even hear each other to hold a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were very dissatisfied tonight with this restaurant.

Let's show this LOCAlL some love El Paso peeps! This is a great Italian restaurant on Westside. I am not of fan of chains and yet why do we keep going there!! Yuck frozen food warm up We had eggplant parm so yum!! Note this restaurant takes a while since it is made fresh be prepared. Recommend: Date night: Outdoors bottle of wine Get an appetizer and a salad and dessert. This will be sure to impress any 3rd date prospect. Other tables around me kept ordering desserts and they looked, divine. I was so friggin full from 1/2 my plate. Service was perfect, We are adding this into our restaurant rotation.

WARNING DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME Decided to give this place a try ordered the lasagna, angel hair pasta with chicken (kids menu wanted to do a tasting before we ordered a larger more expensive portion). For dessert ordered the tiramisu. EPIC CULINARY FAIL!! Lasagna: one layer of MINCED meat sauce, three layers of low budget imitation cheese. It was dry, under seasoned and over baked! Angel hair pasta with chicken: OVERDONE , sticky, gooey mess, the chicken was dry and over cooked. OBVIOUSLY it was a frozen bagged chicken breast. It was under-seasoned, dry as hell and carved with a butter knife!! So so sad and pathetic waste of money. Tiramisu: Sloppy, tasteless, soggy, overpriced, boxed imitation disappointing disaster!!! IT WAS SLICED like pie !!!! Then covered in artificial Hershey's chocolate syrup. The layers where mushy socked in a brown liquid that left a horrible after taste in my mouth!! It completely fell apart when I put a fork in it disgusting!!! MIA the filling, lady fingers and powdered cocoa!! This was at best a frozen Mississippi Mud Pie!! Unfortunately this was not the worst part of this nightmare!! Someone had the audacity to put burnt buttered bollios in a brown paper sack!! I guess this was the chefs version of garlic bread!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOILET BOWL!! LOOK AT THE PHOTOS PLEASE!!

Usually, large group seatings brings service glitches, food glitches, less than optimal food temperatures and less than optimal drinks service. Trattoria Bella Sera absolutely nailed our experience with professional perfection every single element of the experience. Our group cherishes the times we can be all together and this wonderful experience is deeply appreciated by all of us. The food: Just stand out in all regards from the simplest pasta and red sauce (in my case, the cherished puttanesca which I make often at home) to the seafood and pasta white sauces, to the appetizers which we all shared (OMG, try the mushrooms in cream sauce and the bread and garlic!). The service: a single waitress took all our orders and she was just perfect. The plate delivery and eventual removal was a team effort and all were served at the same moment. Even the plate removal was done perfectly by the waitress and the bus lady. The dining room: We were set aside and a little out of the way of other dinners in a large high ceilinged room with really exceptional lighting and decors. Result was it was quiet enough that we could comfortably talk before, during and after the dinner which really added to the whole experience. The cost: One of the siblings picked up the tab but simple pasta plates are mostly $18 (my puttanesca was $2 additional and very worth it), then the $24 pasta and protein plates, then the $26 higher end plates and the $30 3-course plates. Note that most pasta plates are served in deep bowls with 1/3 of the sauce at the bottom and very hot so that the entire dish stays hot through the meal. Star ratings: If I could give them a 6 star rating I would.

When we found out that we could order via catering I went straight for it. I let my wife know and she got excited like I was. We ordered our favorite chicken Parmesan and it came with four servings of the chicken Parmesan, a full tray of spaghetti with the sauce, a full tray of the garlic bread, a full tray of the salad, and with all the fixings in assorted to go containers, and it costs just over 60 bucks. When I brought it home it was memory Lane for our taste buds and for our stomach. And triggered off all the memories that we talked about when Cappettos used to be open on Montana. It would be great if they could reopen that building I believe it's still standing I'm not sure. Or just reopened. Period! We're definitely going to do a repeat reordering because they're still so much more of the menu to revisit. We're looking forward to it

Available for free pick-up or delivery with a delivery fee. *I'm in a Cappetto's Fan Page on facebook and came across a fellow fanatic who posted this tidbit of news lol. I was to finally be reunited with my seafood fettuccine and was counting down the days. I marked it for pickup and the prices for the amount of food was A STEAL. Make sure to order extra garlic bread because you will open up the catering pan and eat a few on your way home. They have a half tray of 24 slices of garlic bread and salad for $20. Once I got home, I started realizing that the amount of sauce for the fettuccine was more than enough. We honestly had leftover to dip bread in for the next few days. The pasta for a half tray was about $60 and fed our family. The breakdown per cost per plate is definitely max bang for your buck. Every bite was my childhood and upbringing coming back to life. I was in disbelief I was having my favorite dish in El Paso once again. My family now knows we will have A Taste of Cappetto's everytime I'm back in town. Honestly, I jokingly would make a comment I'd sell my kidney for Cappetto's again so IDK if I'm now contractually obligated to this with someone out there in the universe.

The restaurant is made up of individually themed rooms, each with its own personality, and the stories about the building's legendary hauntings only add to the charm. Our servers even shared some of the history, making the evening feel like more than just dinner. We sat in the casino room this visit and look forward to sitting in one of the other rooms next visit. The room was intimate and interesting but also allowed us to have a cozy meal with conversation. The food was outstanding. You can taste that the pasta is made to order and that the sauces are authentic and prepared with care. My friend and I shared the pasta nachos, lasagna, cheese ravioli, and chicken Parmesan, and every single dish was excellent. We somehow still found room for dessert and enjoyed the cheesecake, Mrs. B's strawberry cake w spumoni ice cream. The sauces were incredible and all was so fresh. What impressed me most, though, was the hospitality. This is a true family restaurant, and you can feel it. The service was exceptional, not just from our server, but from several members of the staff who stopped by to introduce themselves, check on us, and genuinely make us feel welcome. The pacing of the meal was perfect. We had heard about the famous singing waiter, but unfortunately was out sick. Even so, they surprised us by arranging a special serenade over the phone, despite the fact that we hadn't even ordered the pizza that usually comes with the performance of "That's Amore". It was such a thoughtful touch and perfectly reflects the heart of this restaurant. In a world where so many restaurants feel alike, this place is a rare gem in Central El Paso. Incredible food, unforgettable atmosphere, and genuinely warm people. We'll absolutely be back.
