I've been here before and the two things that I could tell had changed were the prices had gone up about .50 cents or so per taco however the tacos seemed more loaded with meat than they were before so it was a fairly even trade off. I'm a creature of habit and pretty much always order one lomo, one pastor, and one chorizo which is what I did here and they didn't miss. At these grocery stores they bring a bottle of red and bottle of green sauce and I like to try different combinations for different flavors and to see what I like best.

Aside from the meat being a bit too salty for me, I am satisfied with my meal and I will be returning for another serving sometime in the near future.

He speaks English when he sees you struggling with the menu. He made us feel very welcome. Their give you fresh lime or already squeezed natural lime juice. I had a campechano (mixed) taco and a pastor taco. Which they have for .99 on Tuesdays so I will be a regular on Tuesdays too. There is parking on the front and on one of the sides of the place. The team was quick with food, attentive to all needs and very professional and friendly. And the price value is amazing. The inside is somewhat small, but clean. The server was very friendly and service was prompt. The painted art on the furniture and walls was excellent. I ordered a chicken bowl with rice, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and on the side was red enchilada sauce. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned and I only was able to eat half of it. My husband ordered the Texana fajitas, which was a trio of meats (steak, shrimp and chicken). My daughter ordered a Grand burrito. We all left satisfied. I did not get a photo of the hub's or daughter's food before they started devouring them, but I did get a picture of my bowl.

It took us quite a while to find the server to get the error corrected. The complementary chips and salsa were way off. The chips were stale and they switched to a green salsa. Admittedly, a personal preference, but I liked the red better. My wife enjoyed her usual- camarones Mexicano. Served sizzling and perfectly done. I don't recall the mixed fajitas (my usual) as being so greasy. Again, served hot. Lots of peppers, onions, & grilled tomatoes. No jalapeños. I could have asked for some as a side and I'm sure they would accommodate. I also found it odd that La Lupita doesn't offer any beans other than refried. We asked for black beans or pinto or borracho. They're not offered. Yet they were able to serve refried black beans instead of the usual borracho or pinto refried version. Prices, inevitably, were up since our last visit. La Lupita is still a favorite for authentic Mexican food. We just caught them on an off day and it was still way ahead of most Mexican restaurants.
