So today, I decided to try Raymi, which is a Peruvian and Mexican restaurant. It's off of Hurstbourne Lane and it's within this little business center area. I believe it used to be a different restaurant and what time however I decided to try the Peruvian menu today so it's lunchtime, but I was given the option to utilize the larger full menu, so I got some fried fish which came with a salad and some rice on the side. The rice was plain white rice. The salad was some lettuce and tomato with a nice light vinaigrette. It was really delicious and my fish was cooked to perfection. It was a fillet and it was fried with some different spices and lightly battered it was absolutely perfect sweet/juicy easy to delightful so after I finished my salad and my fish, I was left with this large bleed over rice and I just didn't know what to do with it so I asked for a serving of beans on the side and I got the pinto beans and they were nicely flavored with the some queso and they had run it under the broiler to mop the cheese. It was delicious it rounded out my meal, and I will tell you that haven't eaten that whole plate. I left no crumbs. It it did not leave me over full and I ordered flan for dessert and the flan is beautiful and creamy with custard with a dollar above whipped cream and a cherry on top the caramel sauce at the bottom is really, really beautiful. It has a light caramelized flavor from the sugar melting with the phlegm the flan itself it wasn't bad. It was OK a little egg but sometimes that does happen or rather the dessert is really nice. This is a place that I would come back to and also bring my family for a family meal in the restaurant is large and inviting. It's good for a night out with a friends and your family and here I am on my solo journey for food and it works for me too so when you have an opportunity come on down and try this place out my server was amazing. She was so sweet and she put up with my limited Spanish use and she did come and check on me periodically she didn't hover, but she didn't just leave me to be looking around for somebody to help me either so that was a good balance even when she started to get busy with more customers coming in like I said come down and try this restaurant out. It's really nice the atmosphere is very very nice. They didn't have pictures of the other food because I was so hungry and I ate every last thing on my plate

Go with the Peruvian Menu!!! One of the best Peruvian foods I have had near the Louisville area! We had the Ceviche Raymi, arroz chaufa, bistec a lo pobre and seco de cordero! My fave! The frejoles are legit peruvian frejoles cocinados con tocino and all! The service was great as well. We also had some cafecito con leche! We will definitely be back!

Chupe: Peruvian shrimp stew w corn, cheese, egg and rice. Flavorful but not spicy.

I came here for their Peruvian offerings. So far I've tried their Anticuchos, Chupe de Camarones, Arroz Mariscos and Lomo Saltado. My fave so far is the chupe: creamy shrimp chowder served w rice. It is thick, full of shrimp and creamy w cheesy flavors but not spicy. The Anticuchos: grilled beef heart marinated in cumin and other spices. It tastes like lean steak w a bit of irony flavor. While I like the taste, I would like it more if they grilled it with more char like at other places I've had. The three skewers are very plentiful for 3 to share or one as a meal. The Arroz Mariscos was full of seafood and a big serving. Lomo Saltado is...Lomo Saltado. Service is efficient and friendly. Some of the Peruvian dishes might take a little longer. I will be back for more chupe soon.

New spot just opened. Let's check it out

Nice big roomy location. Drinks are delicious and food is even better. If you wanna mix up the pallet this is the place to do it at. I would definitely recommend it. Great for larger parties. Service was spot on a staff are very attentive to customers

It took me a while to try this place, as every time I'd go to the website I was reminded how much higher the prices are than similar items elsewhere. But finally I gave in, hoping that the taste, quality, creativity, or quantity would make the extra cost worthwhile. I was inclined to try several things, but I couldn't bring myself to spend $50 at a place I hadn't vetted. I got the costillas (pork ribs) - wanting to try something different. The website didn't mention sides, but it ended up coming with fries - and my bag also had chicken fried rice, which I don't know was an accident or part of the meal. It was ok. The ribs were tasty and unique - but not good enough that I'd get them again if I went back. The fries were tasteless and not crisp at all. The rice was good - but seemed like Chinese takeout which isn't what I was looking for. Though I love leftovers, this only made one meal, as I needed all three ribs to get enough protein and I didn't eat the fries (not worth the calories!). I don't plan to go back. There are other great options in the area that better fit what I'm personally looking for in terms of flavor and value.

Ceviche. Really good portions great flavor. I ordered the spicy. Plenty for several people. Order it.

Really really good place. I was staying in a hotel near here and gave it a shot. Super clean. Friendly service. Mexican or Peruvian- I went Peruvian with the ceviche (pic below)- good portions great to split. The beef soup was really good too (see pic) Very happy with everything here- highly recommend.

    Sides, quac was exceptional

It's a little out of the way you can see it from hurstbourne but you have to go to the next light and turn... do so. Restaurant was well appointed and spacious. Very clean and pleasant ( except for the pan flute music, it wasn't horrible or pervasive but it was pan flute). I was there at 6pm on a Thursday and it was not busy. Staff was nice. I was seated quickly and my margarita came quickly ( a big plus) it was well within margarita standards. Salsa and chips appeared promptly and again were perfectly acceptable. Salsa was above average and was a nice size. Easily met my needs. Bills itself as Mexican/ Peruvian. Menu was pretty standard Mexican but included empanadas. I got the house special fajitas ( shrimp chicken beef chorizo and a small skirt steak) I was not displeased. Well cooked flavorful and a nice portion. Ordered beef empanadas to go, you have to ask because they only offer combo of buffalo chicken and beef ( not a fan of buffalo chicken as they usually use it as a way to use up substandard products) overall price and presentation was nice and reasonable for the area. As McArthur said I will return.

The Peruvian food was delicious and unlike what we expected. New flavors that were gourmet quality. The presentations were beautiful too.

I visited Veronica's for the first time last Wednesday night and now I know what the hype is all…read moreabout! I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

We did not try any of the alcoholic beverages, but my oldest has been to another Veronica's and highly recommended them. 10/10 we will return!
