great flavorful food at reasonable prices! we were visiting the Aberdeen area and were pleasantly surprised with this delivery order from Mi Sabor Peruano! the food was very very flavorful large portions reasonable prices BF thought the Lomo Saltado was perfect, i found the meat a teeny bit tough myself, but for $16 and so flavorful, I would order again just at a lower cook temp. plantains and yucca? Can't go wrong and they sent generous tasty sauces

Love Peruvian food and this place did not disappoint. 1/4 white chicken, yuca, and chaufa rice. Alfajores for dessert. 100% will be ordering again.

We ordered the 1/2 chicken dark meat with two sides. We added on the plantains and fries.

I used to have a favorite Peruvian place in the city but this is perfect since it's so close to our home! Everything was delicious. We got take out but next time we need to dine it because it's beautiful inside! The food was ready at the expected time and they brought it to our car. We can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Absolutely fantastic food! I am so glad we tried this place out. It is newly opened so I hope more people will catch on and dine at this restaurant. I already have a list of other dishes I want to try next time I come.

Ají de gallina, which is shredded chicken In a creamy sauce. Delicious

This new location is spacious, clean, and has great food. I got the quarter chicken platter with white meat, brussel sprouts, and yucca fries. Each platter comes with sides and each side looks so good you'll definitely have a hard time deciding. I also got some green sauce and white sauce too. The chicken was super flavorful, moist, and fell right off the bone. It was sooo good! The brussels had a surprising kick to them and were nice and tender. The yucca fries took an extra few minutes to come out since they were frying them up fresh for us and it was worth the wait! They have several locations but the food doesn't taste like a chain, if you know what I mean. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone craving some delicious Peruvian style chicken.

Oh and I also got plantains (which they initially forgot but thankfully I checked the bag before I left.) Bf liked his bowl. He's been here a couple of times before and always enjoys. This was my first time and might have to head on back to chipotle lol. Which sucks because I wanted authentic Hispanic food. The flavors were somewhat there. The plantain wasn't ripe!!! How does one fry unripe plantain :-( :-( :-( I might, key word MIGHT, try again.

You have to be buzzed in and the dining room is literally the size of my living room. Very intimate. The food was superb. Stellar. Outstanding. Truly, each course was delicious, with layers of flavor and unexpected combinations. The ceviche in an intensely limey coconut broth started off the meal and I thought that if everything else sucked I would still be happy. But the dishes kept getting better. I did not anticipate enjoying veal heart skewers, but they were smoky and very reminiscent of good carne asada. The purple corn tamale was a very interesting mix of heavier corn with light ahi tuna. And even the little bowl of plantain chips they bring out first was excellent. This is a set menu, 5 courses on the weekdays and 6 on the weekends, and is a bring your own alcohol set up. As a result, there is almost no interaction with the waitress, and the food just arrives, but it is timed very well, with reasonable periods between courses.

I did not feel rushed until the desert course was served with the check. The variety of the dishes was fun to experience; each course was very different. Puerto 511 does really well with seafood. My favorites courses were the Ceviche Amazonico and the Tamalito Verde. The flavors were incredible. The Pulpo en su Causa was also a very interesting dish. The combination of ingredients and the inclusion of a cold mashed potato component were both innovative. I was disappointed with the other courses, though. The veal was tough, the lamp chop was tough, and the desert was not very flavorful. The quinoa flan and the passionfruit ice cream did not match very well in flavor or texture. The restaurant building itself was ok. The ambiance did not indicate fine dining to me. The service was not very personable. I would like to come back sometime in a different season, when there is a new menu. But overall, I would say Puerto 511 is definitely a dining experience worth trying.

Edgard ( I think I spelled that correctly) is still in the kitchen working his magic! Friends ordered the chicken tacos and shrimp tacos. Served in warm, soft flour tortillas, they are always a hit. DH ordered a smash burger which he said was good, but needed a bit more seasoning. I was I. Heaven with the delish marinated roasted chicken. Someone asked me what it is marinated in; my answer was: it's marinated in deliciousness! True! Served with choices of sides, my chicken came with a salad ( always fresh ) and plantains. So delicious and such a great portion! I remember when the owner talked about expanding and opening another place and I am so happy he is getting rewarded for his hard work. If you haven't been to Rocoto, do yourself and your tastebuds a favor and get there soon!

Ordering: There is a Dr. Pepper drawing on the menu but when I asked for that specific drink, the server let me know they do not serve Dr. Pepper. We chose "1/2 a chicken" as our entree but we were told it's only served on Friday's and Saturday's--we went on a Wednesday. Nothing on the menu said anything regarding that. Was a bit disappointing to get told the two things I wanted from their own menu are not being served. Additionally, weirdly, we had to pay before we got our food right after we ordered so it was not the best when it comes to knowing what type of tip to leave. We ended up buying an extra drink after we ate to leave the waiter a tip. Food: We ended up getting Anticucho de Carne in place of the chicken they don't serve daily. We had Roasted Chicken Empanadas as well as Beef and Cheese, they were delicious--especially the roasted chicken one with peppers and onions. The beef and cheese filling was very mild tasting, most of the flavor came from the outer part. The Lomo saltado was very clean tasting and enjoyable. Lastly, we got fried ice cream with honey which was a 10/10! Ambience: The dining area was super clean. There was no music. The seats are pretty close to each other, initially we were the only ones there but about 5 more parties came in and it was pretty tight but not uncomfortable at all. You get to see the bustling around the kitchen and front serving area, however, there is a wall that semi-separates the sitting area from the pick up counter adjacent to the serving area so you get to skip out on the in and out.

We ordered a salad, lomo empanada, and 1/2 chicken meal with brussels sprouts & carrots and black beans. To drink we got a chica morada. The lomo empanada had a great flavor and texture which was great to split as an opener. The 1/2 chicken was flavorful with both the light and the dark meat worth trying. The chicken was halved right in from of us with a large cleaver and the freshness was notable. The brussel sprouts were plentiful, crispy if a pinch oily, and with a slight sweetness that went well with the chicken. The beans were fine; likely the only thing we would not get again. Both the mild (white) and medium (green) sauces went very well with both the empanadas and the chicken. The chicha morada tasted of corn, cloves and cinnamon and was a nice sweet treat. Overall, a wonderfully quick spot with great flavor in the inner harbor.
