Found a bottle cap in my chorizo burrito.. This is the 2nd time they messed up my order. First was last year where they didn't add steak to my steak burrito. Sounds like that is something that happens from time to time if you look at the google reviews. I boycotted them for a year, but thought I'd give them a second chance because they are located next to where I live (out of convenience). I see new workers here so I was hoping for a different experience. I'm very disappointed. The quality control is just as bad as it was last time... I'm never coming back.

    Pastor and carne asada tacos

Oh man, I have been on the SEARCH for some quality street tacos. I recently discovered this truck and THEY DELIVER. | l o c a t i o n | Abundant parking in the nearby lot. The seating area has a couple of picnic tables and is covered. I usually just grab my food to-go though. | f o o d | Eat to your heart's content because they have tortas, tostadas, burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, and fries! I always get carne asada and pastor tacos. Their pastor is actually the best I have had in town. Also, if you come on Friday evenings/nights, they have the pastor spit going on outside of the truck which is very nostalgic of my taco-eating days in LA :') I also have tried their carne asada fries and appreciate that they use shredded cheese instead of the nacho cheese. They also offer all the salsas you can help yourself to on the side! | t l ; d r | Service + food always on POINT. New favorite taco truck! 11/10 recommend :)

BOMB.COM I definitely recommend this taco truck. My husband and I got two California burritos de Al pastor, they were a great size, big and full. The salsa were both (red & green) delicious. We also got some tacos on the side and they were so good. I didn't get to take a picture of all the food but I got a picture of a taco. The wait time for our food was about 7-10mins not bad at all. The ladies were very nice and helpful! Thanks for our amazing dinner tonight! #supportlocal

Great food, awesome service. Lots of options from tacos to burritos to bowls. Tasty asada and pastor. I'll be back to try out more. Annnd, they're open until 9pm.!! My subsequent visits were just ok...more 3 star than 4. A bit pricier and not as flavorful as other options in town. They need to step it up to regain my stars.

    Bomb!

Not ashamed…read more The place is adorable but gets packed on weekends, so bring patience and arrive hungry, portions are huge, food comes out hot, and you will absolutely clean your plate. Best part? My gluten-eating family who could have gone ANYWHERE also loved their meals. No pity plates. Everyone won. Our college student requests this place every single time we visit which tells you everything you need to know. They don't have a car, so we are essentially their personal Uber and we are okay with it as long as we end up here. A rare and beautiful thing.

The food is just nothing to write home about - I could make it myself without much effort, for a much lower price, and just better. It used to be worth it to come in every now and then because their prices were so low, but just like everywhere else now, the prices are high and not worth it. A rave: I got food poisoning recently, NOT at Morning Thunder, but they were a contender. When I called to let them know, they handled it extremely well. They were surprised but said they would look closely at everything to make sure everything was safe and sanitary. (And yes, I did call to let them know when I confirmed it was not them.)

Vegetarian burrito sounded skeptical at first, but was actually really good; good size portion as well. Decent size to share. Skip this place. Seriously. We arrived at 1:28 pm on Monday, September 7 2026. The sign posted on…read moretheir glass door stated they were open until 2 pm. and the red OPEN light was still on. We held the door for an elderly couple leaving as we entered, so for the sake of argument let's say we crossed their threshold at exactly 1:30 pm. "Hostess" ( college girl with messy hair under a baseball cap) immediately informs us they are CLOSED. No hello no greeting at all, just and abrupt , "We are closed." Huh. Sign says 2 pm?!!! She kinda shrugs us off with a parting comment, "we stop seating at 1:30." News to me, we've been coming here for five plus years and always between 1:30 and 2:00 pm. Never ever had a problem or had anyone tell us about this 1:30 pm seating rule. Ok. But I show her my phone. "it's 1:30 now" and she just shrugs and says sorry. Disappointed, we cruise over to The Farmers Skillet located a few miles away in Chico on Rio Lindo. We strolled in at 1:50 pm, noting they also close at 2 pm. I ask politely if we are too late even though our hostess already has two menus in her hand and a smile on her face. "Not at all," she exclaims and then says "Welcome". Service there was warm, and unhurried. The Roost could learn a lesson here. If your 24/7 policy is to stop serving half an hour prior to closing then it should be posted, and door locked maybe? I know Deja Vu (also in Chico, on the Esplanade) closes at 2 pm and they have the CLOSED sign up with door locked at 1:45 pm. We shan't be returning. Very disrespectful and unnecessary. IF in fact that IS the policy of this diner and not just the whim of a lazy student/hostess then we should still have been seated. It was 1:30 pm as we entered. Shame on management. Know your staff and make sure they are operating with YOUR agenda and priorities, not theirs.
