The food here was good, but the bar service was terrible. The waiter was rude and seemed annoyed with me, my wife, and her friend's existence. We had to ask him for everything including our check. The food was pretty good with crappy service. I would rather get excellent food and exceptional service somewhere else. We won't be back any time soon. read more

I am originally from El Centro / San Diego, CA and let me say, this place was awesome! You aren't bombarded by a bunch of decor...the waitstaff are courteous and they come by but mostly leave you be to enjoy your food. I talked to the manager and told him the food was awesome but the cadillac margarita I had was unreal...his suggestion, next time try the classic or the ultimate...with a designated driver that is. Good food; Fast, friendly service. My family and I have been going there for years. I would describe it as serving more authentic Mexican fare rather than the Americanized Tex-Mex style food people seem to expect. I like it because it's more homestyle and reminds me of my travels south of the border. It tastes fresh and not dripping with cheese and sauces like many other places. This place is phenomenal! They were slammed when we stopped by last Thursday night. Our little party of 5 in the corner was kind of forgotten about, but when we mentioned that we'd like to just get our bill for the drinks and cancel the food order that never arrived, this incredible staff sprung into action. They comped our ENTIRE Bill, and packaged up the food to go within about 2 seconds flat, apologized profusely, and asked us to please return. It was handled professionally, flawlessly, and beautifully, and we were terribly impressed. We will be back. AND their food is amazing! read more

My husband and I have eaten here many times, always great food. Occasionally some of the dish's are under spiced in my opinion, but always tasty. I can always add some of their delicous salsa. Most recent visit with with a couple girlfriends, I had the Chicken Tortilla soup, oh my ! yummm, just a little spicey with lot's of chicken and big chunks of avocado. On another visit I tried their stuffed chicken special, which turned out to be the most delicious dish I have ever had here. It was some kind of mango mix they "stuff" between two flattened pieces of chicken breast, it was incredible. I WISH they had it on their regular menu, I would go back more frequently to eat that. I usually will get their Chalupa meal or an enchilada. Everything is very fresh and delicious. Service is fantastic. They have some pretty exotic sounding seafood dish's on the menu, I have not had the courage to try. Maybe next time I will step outside the box and try something new. Mi Tierrra recently changed their menu and the additions are great. This is still one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. They have more seafood offerings than most and they have a lot of authentic specialties. read more

This is one of the restaurants we used to make use to close to our home. The food is good for those who like some what spicy to spicy foods but not for those who have issues spicy foods. Be aware they are not that friendly to you if you have issues with spices. Also if you have issues with soft breads be aware that they don't like to have to deal with making tortillas crispy for you. I guess Mexican food restaurants just don't think they have to cater to anyone unless you like what they serve. I have found that the attitudes are not as good there as they once were. I have had servers who used to try and help me have become less scheduled so it is not easy to get a server willing to get me something I can eat comfortably. read more

There is something about their Fajitas that I just can't get enough of. Is it the fact that the vegetable mix includes mushrooms, or the fact that the sauce is actually sweet and spicy at the same time...what is the mystery spice? Ordered a drink that I just didn't care for and the manager made me pay half price instead of taking off the bill. He said" the ingredients were listed so you should have known." Then tried to back this up by saying "this is a very popular drink". I was not happy with my experience here and the food was just so-so. Came across this spot on our way back from Leavenworth. Was hoping not to be dissapointed based on other "Mexican" restaurants Western Washington has to offer and, well, they did not! Food portions were huge, they kept the chips and salsa coming. We ordered 2 kids' plates and 2 adult entrees, where I had the arroz con pollo that cane with your choice if tortillas and covered the whole plate, 2 thumbs up! My husband had sopes and he raved how good they were, don't know when we'll go out that way again, but will make sure to go on an empty stomach and seek MI Tierra! read more

I went here w/ a group of almost 25 people. The food was good but the service was AMAZING! I was beyond impressed: 25 entree's on a Saturday night at 5 PM all came out (HOT) at the same time. Go to Mi Tiera if you want a good Mexican dinner...but don't order take out. THEY NEVER GET THE ORDER RIGHT!! My fiancé has picked up take out a few times from here and nothing ever comes the way I want it. Just something simple like, extra sauce for my fish tacos...they give me more salsa...no, sauce that goes in the fish tacos because they don't put enough in there. So I call and she tells me it's called "DRESSING"...OH, so why didn't they tell me that when I ordered it? Maybe because English is their second language?? Also, when I order a burrito...I want the salsa on the side, not dumped all over the burrito so when it gets home it's all soggy. EVERY TIME...my fiancé brings it home and the salsa is dumped all over the burrito. So, I guess what the issue is...is the person taking the order? OR, the chefs that don't read the ticket right? They just do the dish the way they do it and screw you? I don't know...but it's frustrating. Now, if we want Mexican...we GO THERE and sit down. Then we spell it out to the waiter if there is anything we want different. They seem to get it right. So, if I had to rate this place...I would say 0 stars for ordering take out and 5 for the food...so, combined....3 stars for just A-OK. read more

We've dined here in the past and were usually pleased. This last visit was at lunchtime, certainly not a busy afternoon as it was about 1:30pm during the week. I must say, the food was pretty awful and the service -- not so good. I doubt we will be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. We were very disappointed to say the least.
