Unfortunately, I did not walk away happy at all from my experience with Car Factory Outlet Miami…read more STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE To begin with, the car I purchased did NOT come with the original key or key fob. Instead, I was given a completely different third-party key, and I was told I would receive information later to obtain the proper FOB. That never happened. Honda quoted me around $275 plus tax just to cut and program a replacement key/fob for the vehicle. Every time I followed up with the dealership, I was given the runaround and told the car was sold "as is." Second, the pricing and financing process felt extremely misleading. I was initially told my payments would be around $367 monthly, but after fees and paperwork, the payment ended up being about $400. Important details were not properly explained before I signed. I also noticed the contract listed the vehicle at around 43,000 miles, but by the time I drove it off the lot it was already showing around 46,000 miles. What became even worse was the financing situation afterward. The dealership apparently could not secure financing through a bank, yet they continued having me make monthly payments directly to them instead. My checks were being deposited into the dealership's account rather than through an actual lender. During this process, my credit was negatively affected. The experience became so stressful and unprofessional that I ultimately had to hire a lawyer to resolve the issue. After legal involvement, the dealership was forced to take the vehicle back and issue me a full refund. It was an exhausting and horrible experience overall. While the staff may come across as friendly during the sales process, I personally felt misled and poorly handled throughout the entire ordeal. I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying a vehicle here carefully steer clear. Don't waste your time or your money.

I put $3,000 down, but later learned that none of that money was applied to the vehicle price. I was told it went toward "dealer fees," which was never clearly explained to me at the time. As a young buyer under pressure to get a car, I trusted what I was told and didn't fully understand the breakdown until later. There was no transparency, no effort to explain costs clearly, and no concern for making sure I understood what I was signing. Looking back, the price, fees, and structure of the deal were extremely unfavorable and misleading. I regret trusting this dealership and would strongly warn first-time buyers and young customers to be very careful, ask for everything in writing, and consider going elsewhere. This experience left me feeling taken advantage of rather than supported

I'm not sure how or why CarMax has a relatively low overall rating, or how anyone with experience…read morehaggling and negotiating at shady dealerships could claim to have a bad experience here. I've purchased 2 vehicles from CarMax and recently traded in or sold them my 3rd. I appreciate the fact that the first offer they give is generally their best, and there is generally no room or chance for haggling or negotiating and all the BS that comes with that. Most importantly, I've never walked away feeling that I wasn't treated fairly or didn't get at least an above average deal. During our most recent experience we were buying a new car from another dealership, but their trade-in offer on our existing vehicle was very low. When we checked Kelly Blue Book/Edmunds to see what the trade-in was worth, we received an immediate offer from CarMax that was above what KBB indicated we should expect to receive at a dealership, and it was valid for several days. When we came here to do the trade-in, the process was relatively painless, though not necessarily quick. When we arrived here at around 11 a.m. on a Friday, we were about the 8th or 9th car in line to get an appraisal to either trade or sell our car. It took some time to get through that line, then the actual process of the staff examining the vehicle, taking photos and test driving it took another 15 minutes and then once done, it took about 20 minutes before the trade offer was ready for us to view inside the dealership. The offer they made was in-line with the one CarMax had offered us via Kelly Blue Book/Edmunds a few days earlier, and in my opinion was fair. We then had to go to the business office to accept the offer, present ID and turn over the signed title, then pull our car into the service bay and turn in the keys. They told us the paperwork would take about 40 minutes to process and that was spot on. She called us over to sign a few things via Docusign and 5 minutes later she called us back to the window where she gave us copies of all the paperwork from this transaction, along with our old license plate, a check for the trade-in and we were on our way about 2 hours and change after we'd first arrived. Simple, easy and painless with a fair price for our old vehicle.

This weekend I became an expert of navigating all things auto…read more I owned a 2013 Nissan Rouge, and to be honest this car has really done the most for the last 13 years. However, cars cannot last forever and when it was time to retire my beloved Rouge, my first stop was Carmax to see the value so I could use that towards a new car. On Friday, I put in all the information about my vehicle into the Carmax website and got an offer that was valid for 7 days. Carmax gave me more than Carvana and so I took that online offer to the dealership on Saturday. The dealer offered me much less than the Carmax offer - so I walked out of that deal, and went back to Carmax to see the official appraisal. I made an appointment online, arrived on time on a Sunday afternoon (the last day of the month) - and was out with my appraisal which matched the online quote in real life in 40 minutes. I found this to be quick and painless, and a great experience. I did not get a car from Carmax, but I feel like they gave me a great and fair offer on my car which helped me leverage a great deal at a dealership for a new lease.
