We had such a wonderful experience with Miami Movers For Less, I am recommending them to everyone I know. We had a last minute move that required movers to come empty out two apartments into a third apartment the next day. I placed the call on a Friday afternoon for a move Saturday -- right away I was getting a detailed quote from Rey. I made a deposit through PayPal and was confirmed for 10AM the next day. So simple! The next day another agent from the company (named Murat) called in the morning to advise that they needed to reschedule to 2PM (due to the truck they were planning on using needing some maintenance) and it turned out even better as it gave me more time to finish packing. Very courteous and helpful attitude from both persons I spoke to. At the appointed time, our team of 4 movers -- headed by Antony -- arrived and got to work immediately. I couldn't believe that they taped up and moved out the first apartment in 20 minutes flat. On to the next apartment -- 3 flights of stairs -- they flawlessly moved it out in 24 minutes! The final destination was an apartment with a very narrow set of stairs leading to the front door, and another small staircase to the second floor of the unit. They moved our large sofa in by launching it from the ground floor up through the balcony -- it was unbelievable! They executed the entire move in about 2 hours and 30 minutes (!!!!). Antony took the payment by credit card (very convenient even with the 3% charge) and they were on their way! It was like a wonderful, organizing hurricane came through and got everything done. Movers for Less does not start the clock from their warehouse to your apartment, they are extremely fair and only start when they have arrived at your house and begin to move. 3 men and a Truck met me near MIA Airport to unload a 2-bedroom PODS container, and move it to my Miami home. The job was done in just under 3-hours, in a safe and efficient manner. I had booked for three hours, and it was appreciated they didn't 'milk the clock' or try to extend the agreement needlessly. The premove part was great with Rey. I must have called him ten times and emailed him that many. He was responsive and very professional . If I had a business, I would hire him. The packing front end movers came exactly on time and were VERY pleasant and helpful. I worried about the truck and all the logistics at our apt building but they handled it all. The truck arrived cross country AHEAD of schedule cause I really begged Rey. There were delivery problems on the back end which lasted over a week , but they came on SUNDAY to accommodate when promised on time. There were some small broken glass things that they packed(we paid extra) carefully .And 3 lost boxes which no one could locate (sad about that). PLus one art piece. We opted not to buy additional insurance because the deductible was so high PER ITEM(this is not the mover's problem but an outside company). We had to fill out a lot of forms and the MFL folks answered almost always the same day and offered some compensation. Moving cross country is rarely prefect...but at least most everything made it. Remember that the same people who pack it are not the same people who unload it. The truth is I doubt that the big fancy expensive Van lines do it much better. A lot of it is luck. read more

The only appropriate rating for this business is -5 stars. But that wasn't an option. Move for Less is the least professional, most terrible moving service on the planet. We booked them about a week ago for a move in the Brickell area, thinking that they would actually show up and do their jobs. But with Move for Less, you get what you pay for. They were scheduled to come at noon, and called around then to let us know that their truck broke down, so they would come between 1:30pm and 2pm. And, the new truck they would send would have 3 guys instead of 2, so they would be charging us more for their own problems. Around 2pm, we called them to see where they were, and they told us it was now a physical impossibility to move us in this time (our new building was across the street). They were unwilling to help, and offered no solutions. They told us that they didn't charge us yet, so therefore were not required to perform their duties. And then they hung up on us, leaving us completely screwed in our move. We had our elevators, but no movers and no luck getting another moving company at the last minute. Move for Less is unreliable, unprofessional, and I can't even comment on their moving services since they simply didn't show up. read more

These movers were FANTASTIC! I have moved so many times (NYC, all over FL) and I have never had a team more efficient who treated the items with such respect. It was clear they really knew what they were doing and have plenty of experience stacking and maneuvering things in an efficient way. They disassembled and reassembled the furniture with such ease! Also, they even took the time at the end to help me rearrange and try different styles with my bulky furniture within my small studio, where placement is key. They also had great ideas where to put things that I honestly (even hours of pinteresting later) have never seen or thought of. Oleg and Taras were THE BEST! I admit They were careful packing and moving my belongings but moved incredibly slow. Over 8 hrs to move a 3 bedroom condo to 3 bedroom townhouse that was less than 5 miles away! My biggest complaint is that the driver failed to tell me in advance i would be charged extra for the tape used to secure their blankets onto the furniture. So I was charged an additional 260 for 22 rolls of tape (packing tape not the shrink wrap which most movers use and i own!) and like 8 boxes (the movers packed all loose items like my hamper, lamp, detergent, etc. without even asking me 1st). Who does that??? After a heated argument with the driver and his son I was forced to pay because they held my tv hostage on their truck and gave me 10 minutes to make up my mind. This by far has been the most frustrating moving experience I've had so far. Spoke with customer service and manager still waiting for a response. I honestly feel like I've been taken advantage of. Im a single parent on a budget guys, jeez!!! Grand total $900+. Thank you movers for less. I should've just let them kidnap my TV. read more

Robert, the manager is a real asshole and after these folks took my stuff, they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered so I sat around waiting during Thanksgiving week and couldn't leave. Of course, they didn't tell me that they couldn't schedule a delivery until AFTER they had my stuff. When I asked to inquire, this prick started yelling at me on the phone and telling me that he was not going to "console" me by telling what I wanted to hear. So much for customer service. By far the worst moving company I have ever used. I have moved a few times, all long distance and dealing with these guys was such a joke. They do not communicate any information to you about payment when the truck arrives or anything else. They chipped and broke a few objects of mine and they don't care at all. Insurance makes no sense with these guys. The movers happen to be very good unfortunately the people in the offices have no idea what is going on. Never use them! A complete waste of money. I used this company for a move and they said it was insured what they do not tell you is not everything and so what ever they break they will find a line in the contract to cover them for repaying or replacing it. They broke my furniture I bought not even a year old from Ikea and after waiting a month told me they are not giving me anything and truly anything less than what it cost to replace it would not be acceptable but they did worse and just broke it and like O' well it was cheap- BE WARE! Secondly I paid them upfront in advance and set day and time parameters and they came at a time that luckily I happen to be running late and had not left town yet so I was able to receive my furniture but they came on a day I told them not to and had in writing now I am glad i was there as they probably had something written in fine print to disregard what was discussed and written and charged me extra for each they held it past the day they tried to deliver. I have another move for furniture for a 3rd home and I not only will not use them I will hire people myself and do my own move how .... is that to pay for someone to move your stuff to break it with recourse- Never again. If you going to get a move write it on the contract and have them sign it to insure any and everything they touch, wrap, move and for it to supersede what is on the pre-printed contract- Save your self from MIAMI - MOVERSFORLESS INC. I usually don't write reviews but I thought it might help others out when making a stressful decision. OK my move was from FL to TX... I hired this company last minute due to the first one I went with didn't go as plan. Mario was really professional on the phone and quoted me bases on inventory. Movers came in the next day (really nice guys & got straight to work). The only reason why I didn't give this company 5 stars was because the movers stated that my bed was not input correctly in the inventory. So I ended paying about $200 more than quoted. At that point I felt like I had no other choice to pay it being that I was leaving the states 2 days after. Manager said he was going to try and get me some $ back. So I shall wait and see. Oveeall I do recommend the company just ensure that everything is correct in your inventory. Not sure if they are able to visit your home prior. But doesn't hurt to ask. read more

This moving company is outstanding. I was contacted back in May by Rey de Silva regarding my July move to Las Vegas from Miami, Florida. He asked me several questions and made me a generous offer, much cheaper than any other moving company I had spoken with, including UHAUL U Boxes which requires the mover to do all the packing and lifting. In fact, the price was so generous I was a bit concerned about the quality of the moving company, but their great reviews on Yelp reassured me. Rey followed up with me several times to make sure that the inventory quote was accurate and that there would be no surprises on my bill. The move was scheduled for July 22 between 1-2 p.m. The movers were prompt, arriving at 1:30 p.m. They were extra careful with all my furniture and boxes, wrapping everything with blankets. They had me fill out a bunch of paperwork, ensuring that every item placed in the truck was labeled and accounted for. Handing over all of your memories and possessions can be frightening, but Move for Less handled each of my belongings with care. Several days later I received a phone call that my items left the warehouse and was given an arrival date. Proving they are the best moving company around, Move for Less arrived on the other side of the country with all my stuff. Not one scratch was found on any of my furniture. Everything arrived in perfect condition, plates, glassware, picture frames....not a crack to be found. If I were able to give this company 10 stars I would. Thank-you Move for Less!!!! read more

I think the overall service is 2 to 2.5 stars! The movers are hard working and they deserve 4 to 4.5 stars, sometimes they work slower, but they are human and they become tired too! This is the second time I used movers for less and the first time they were 4 stars, but this time they arrived 20 minutes late and we live in a condo, so we had a limited time to use the elevator and because of that when they started their actual work, we lost 45 minutes of the 3 hours elevator period! So they couldn't finish the job although I paid more than 800 bucks for this service! When I brought the issue of late arrival to the managers attention, he was rude and he didn't accept the fact that his staff arrived late! He also told me he'll charge me for the time that I was on phone and discussing this issue with him and his workers were sitting there. When I told him I'm going to share my experience online he threatened to sue me if I write a bad review for him! Later he emailed me and said he will not charge me for our phone conversation , but when I emailed him back, he didn't respond! They are very good when they are selling their product to you, but when an issue arises, you shouldn't expect anything friendly from them! read more

I was reading someone elses great reviews below and decided to go with this company. And it turned out that we had a quite similar and very positive experience during my move. We all, living in Miami downtown, should know how extremely difficult and hard it is to move in Brickell. It is a pain to reserve elevators at each of the buildings. I booked with these movers a month in advance of my moving date to make sure that everything went smooth. I got a call from a nice lady named Monika 3 days prior to my move to pre-confirm that I was still moving. She said that she will give me another call a day prior to the move to make sure that everything is still on schedule. A day before my move I received a call and confirmed the move. Movers showed up few minutes late, but I had no problems with that since it took them over 30 minutes to finalize all papers with our security desk... They are crazy! Then another issue happened with an elevator. We were under impression, that we will be the one and only residents using this elevator, but it was not the case. Another move was going on and we had to share the elevator, which increased moving time significantly! While 2 guys were packing things, 2 more were taking things out. I was very surprised of how fast they kept doing things. They had another move scheduled right after mine and now I felt like its my fault (due to an elevator issue) and there is no way they can finish on time! Guys were packing very fast but there was a bottleneck caused by the elevator sharing. In the end of the day, it took movers about 5 hours to move things out. They had to send another crew for their next job. Due to elevator delay, we must of lost at least 2-3 hours. Regardless, everything was professionally packed and when we finally got to a new building - IVY, we were happy to find out that none of the items that we had was damaged. Guy used a lot of packing material (over 300$) but it was worth it. Better be safe than sorry. I am extremely happy this movers and packers performance. Miami is where people take their time to do anything, regardless if its moving or fixing your car. But this guys did a great job and they did it in the minimum period of time possible. I am great full for the fact that even my fish tank and plants made it to IVY safely. I will indeed suggest this movers to everyone I know. read more

I am SO GLAD I went with this company!!They were really careful with my stuff and worked really hard! These guys were sweating their butts off. They were going so fast i had to stand to the side the entire time because I was just getting in the way lol. We paid for three men for three hours, only 300$ for my 2 BR apartment, including the truck, miles, fuel, everything! You really cant beat that price anywhere. They finished within the estimated three hours and even wrapped up all my furniture with moving blankets. They do charge about 4 or 5$ per roll of tape to wrap the furniture and went through about 7 rolls so I recommend buying your own if you can find it cheaper anywhere else. This past week, I helped with my daughter's move from a 3rd floor storage facility to a high rise. She contacted Miami Movers for Less, had received paperwork via email and was happy with their policies. Contact was made 24 hrs. in advance, as suggested, to confirm the move. She previously had a full one bedroom apartment and LOTS of boxes. Oleg and Taras called about 20m minutes before the schedule hour to say they were on their way, arriving on time. They went to work immediately. They had supplies on the truck, including blankets for padding. I purchased nothing from them, because I already had mattress bags, extra tape, etc. With their three dollies, it took about 1 1/2 hours to load. I pointed out that several boxes were marked "fragile" and actually thought they took care of everything as if it were all fragile. All items were secured in their truck. From there we went to the high rise where the loading area and elevator had been reserved in advance. The process began again, with my directing the rooms for each box/furniture. The men made sure I was happy with the location of each item, adjusting the furniture as necessary. It took close to four hours to complete the move. Oleg and Taras never took a break. Were very pleasant and courteous. Moves are always stressful and in fact are usually pretty miserable, but this could not have gone more smoothly. They only accept cash or credit. Please don't use this company they are very shady!!!!! Back in May of this year I hired them to move my mom, during the move the driver backed into a light pole in the apartment complex. Instead of making a report he proceeded to pretend like nothing happened, luckily the surveillance cameras caught everything and the security guard follow them to my moms apartment from where they were escorted to the Doral police officer to write out a report and citation. A few days later the apartment administration sent me a bill for $2,900 which I forward to move for less (ROBERT VAN DER ZANDT) and he replied that it would be handle accordingly he begged me not to post a review that the issue would be resolved immediately, five months later I thought the issue was resolved since I didn't hear anymore from the building administration, but til this day they still have not paid the bill and even though they have a police report and pictures now they are saying that they need video proof, stay away from this company u can expect anything from shady people like this. I have been hearing a lot of negative feed back about this company, and as shady as they are I wouldn't be surprised if the good reviews that show in here are fake. read more

If I could give them a "zero" I would. The drivers tried to collect on a pre-paid move (1 item) and refused to leave my condo until they could clear it up with their boss. They missed my delivery date twice and acted like they did me a favor just showing up. COI was requested multiple times with corrections needed, and they had the nerve question why the management office was giving them a hard time. Called them with 2 days notice and was able to get exactly what I needed at a reasonable price. I am pleased with my experience, would use this company again, and would recommend them to most people I know. Sales team is prompt and attentive though there was some significant confusion about the spelling of my email address that we resolved. Moving team was a 3 person crew headed by Andrei and Andres. They did a very good job -- quick and professional. I would use them again with or without this company. They are the reason I would use this company again. At all times I felt like they would honor any request I made about any of my stuff, my things were handled with care, and I was always treated respectfully. Points of consideration for potential customers: - My move was local; less than 30 miles. - Start location was a third floor walk-up (no elevator). End location second floor with elevator. - Before the movers showed up, the majority of my stuff was in moving boxes, some in plastic totes, and a few non conforming items. They did not need to pack nor unpack anything for me. - My scheduled service was for a 3 person team for a minimum of 3 hours at $95 per hour, so no less than $285. Truck, fuel, labor, and any tax are all included in the cost. - Total move time came to 4 hours. - Transportation time was included in the move time. Be sure to set a time frame that will avoid traffic. I was able to avoid the worst of South Florida traffic and still paid approximately $50 for the 35 minutes it took to drive. - I had to pay a deposit equaling one hour ($95) when making my reservation. - I do not recall the salesperson or any of the emails making it clear that there would be a 3% charge to pay the balance with a credit card. I paid with cash. I got the impression change was not going to be easy but was happy to add the change to tip I had already given. - Total tip to each mover was $25. $20 given with a cold bottle of water after the first hour and $5 from the change along with another cold bottle of water. I am pointing this out for people who are unfamiliar with the custom, like some friends of mine. - I do not recall the salesperson or any of the emails making it clear that plastic totes with lids needed to be secured with tape. This seems smart but the company does charge for supplies used. However you can provide your own tape. - A handcart was used to move my things down two flights of stairs. This was fine for most things but it made me cringe several times and wish I had put more padding in the boxes. Given my time constraints I did not request they do anything differently. - The stairwell had some broken plastic pieces that I assume were from my stuff and some items, like my entertainment center, had some new scratches and scuffs. Nothing to me worth getting uptight about, but real and noticeable. Had they been pieces of importance it would have been a problem. These guys were thoughtful but no one is perfect and they understood I was on a schedule. If you want special attention to be given, make sure you ask for it. - The moving team showed up about an hour later than expected due to traffic. They did call early on and communication was good so I was not left wondering. Traffic smarts is a big deal and I am glad I left buffer time. - The company requires a waiver for all pressed wood, ie Ikea furniture. Not entirely sure why but it caught my attention and I wish it had been explained by the salesperson and not the movers before they could start. read more

Overall, I had a good experience with Move for Less on the move of my belongings from Deerfield Beach, Florida to Los Angeles. I booked the job with Rey de Silva, and he was helpful and thorough. We itemized all the items to be moved, and when the movers arrived at my condo in Deerfield, I had one more box and the computer desk was far bigger and heavier than the original estimate, so the cost of the move was a little over $100 more than the original estimate, but still very reasonable. The pickup crew called from the road to inform me that they were running about an hour early, and they showed up and got right to work. They were very efficient wrapping my bed and furniture with shrink wrap, and overall did a very good job loading my belongings. I had them store my stuff for 30 days (which was free) and I called them to schedule the move to Los Angeles. They estimated the amount of days it would take, and they got to me sooner than I was expecting. I found a storage unit with 18-wheeler access and the driver called from the road and arrived at the storage facility 5 minutes after I did. There was a crew of only 2 on delivery (there were 3 guys on pickup) and it was a little slow getting everything unloaded, but overall, I was very pleased with the performance of the driver and his assistant. They talked me into paying for 4 of the blankets that were used on my bed and couch, and I understood why they recommended it and did what they suggested. There have been some negative reviews of this company, which concerned me, but my experience with them was positive and I'm happy with the move of my stuff to Los Angeles. Worst movers ever. I was very unhappy with the whole experience. They charge $85.00 per hour. My moving process was expected to last 3 hours. They were two men and a small truck but hey took about 8 hours so I had to pay more than expected. They did not accept a check as a form of payment. At the end of the moving deal, which by the way they never finish because my furniture end up scattered all over the surroundings of the storage unit facility. At one point I stepped out of the scene because one of the guys tried to get into my phone info about my bank account. At the end they took half of my belongings and took them to their storage unit. Now they say I own them more than $900.00 I am very disgusted about the liberties they take to take advantage of their customers. I never saw this in writing, they say they have it on, but it is on the back of the contract. I never received any contract on hand it was only an email with the front page of contract. read more

I have a 2 bedroom apartment and moved from a 5th floor elevator building to a 10th floor elevator apartment. The apartment was 1.5 miles away. It took them 9 HOURS!!!!!!! I could not believe the 1200 bill for a 1250 square foot apartment!!!! I could of done this faster myself in a building without an elevator! After reading the good reviews given on Yelp, we decided to try them. We boxed and taped up everything fragile and they came in and declared they had to re-taped and put main furniture into a box. When do movers box and tape up a sofa??! Of course they charged by the hour, $5.00 per roll of tape, charged for boxes that were placed on the side of the furniture. We were just moving from north Miami to ft. Lauderdale. It took them over 2 hours to get to ft lauderdale with our stuff, as we Waited. Guess we paid for their lunch/break time. Combined, we both have moved over 12 times and some were from other states and this was the most expensive. The nickel and dime process adds up. It took them 8 hours plus over $300 dollars in packing material. There were so much tape on everything we still are trying to get it off. They took our tv for the stand and wouldn't put it back together. Lastly, since we didn't expect the high cost we had to use a credit card instead of the cash we took out and was told there would be a 3% service charge for using a credit card. I finally got them to waiver that! Our advice, if you use them, but your own tape and have extra boxes for them to cut and use to tape around your sofa. Good luck!! read more

Due to a gap in between closing on my home and my lease ending, I had to put my stuff into storage. Not only did the two guys that showed up pack quickly and efficiently, they also offer storage at a fairly reasonable price. They took care of everything in a few hours and I didn't have to worry about anything else. When I was able to get into my place, the team arrived promptly, and also navigated some crappy weather and got everything in quickly. Was pleasantly surprised to receive a call back within just 30 minutes! Sales guy, Mario, scheduled everything for me and said to expect delivery within one week. I received a follow up call a week before my scheduled delivery and received my stuff intact the next day. Handled very professionally from sales to local movers in SF.
