She spoke her language with some other technician (no idea if that was the manager) and put a bandaid on it. The manager didn't come to me, nor did anything, no one seemed to care she had accidentally done this. Just a 'oh so sorry' and continued along after putting a band aid on. Afterwards I got a shellac manicure, but the manicure is soooo bumpy, so many bubbles and not evenly done (like it wasn't painted evenly) It kind of sucks because I've heard so many good things about this place, but I also heard that lately they've been over booking and their quality isn't near what they used to be. Clearly after my experience I agree. When I went to pay they charged me full price everything, no discount or anything after they injured me (getting cut on the ball of your foot is annoying to have to walk on afterwards since I couldn't put any pressure if i didn't want it stinging) The only reason i didn't make a fuss was because i was there for all ready 2 hours and was running late for a dance practice (which now i had to sit out from....) It looked very nice on the website so I booked a couples massage for my husband for his birthday. As soon as we entered the front door we wanted to turn and leave. It was very run-down, no one was at the reception desk and I could very clearly hear the ladies in the salon section talking and laughing very loudly. The floors were dirty and the parts with rugs looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. There was a small waiting room with 2 chairs for guests and 2 chairs for nails (high chairs draped with a piece of brown material to actually hide the chairs) and a curtain as a wall and we were offered tea (as promised in website) but they did not carry sugar or milk. We were promised robes and slippers upon arrival (per WaySpa website)...there were none offered and I didn't see a robe in site. We were then brought into a very small room with 2 massage beds in it. There were only sheets on the bed, nothing else to keep you warm. One bottom and one top sheet, with stains on them. The massage lasted 45 min instead of an hour and the girls didn't even touch our feet (sometimes best part of a massage). We will definitely never go back and now I know not to trust a spa just because it's affiliated with WaySpa.

I put on slippers (they provide) and grabbed a blanket and headed into the healing salt cave that was 65 degrees. We are big fans of nordic contrast circuits and have visited plenty of similar spas in various cities and countries. For the price, this one covers all the bases very well with few frills, and that's okay with us. The service was good, and the employees friendly, even if they did seem a bit overworked at times. This location isn't as luxurious in its other amenities as some other options in nearby Niagara-On-The-Lake, so if you're after a full pampering experience, you might look into one of those, but the much lower cost here made it a worthwhile trade-off for us.
