Dr. Yun gave me really helpful info on anti aging skin products and IPL to help my rosacea. Fast forward to 2026; the office started offering Sofwave treatments for collagen building & skin tightening. I stopped getting filler several years ago, but I am always interested in ways to combat age related collagen loss. After a really detailed consultation with PA Charlotte, I scheduled a Sofwave session with her. I requested numbing on all the areas to be treated, so l arrived in time to sit with the cream on for 30-ish minutes. Charlotte was SO detailed & patient, she mapped all the areas (brows, cheeks, jaw, submentum) with marker & showed me how she planned to lift areas. She gave me a tube that blew cold air to aim at the areas while she used the Sofwave wand. And she checked in with me throughout the treatment to make sure I was comfortable. 95% of the treatment was so painless, I could have fallen asleep! The 5% of time that I felt anything, at the very edges of my jaw & on one spot on my brows, it felt like quick stinging sensations - but way less than past laser hair removal. Still, numbing is the way to go imo haha. I had no swelling afterwards & only a little redness; I felt totally presentable to be out in public. As I drove home, I telt like my face was tighter already - but I also was still numb, so I wasn't sure if it was just my imagination. I had taken my own selfies before I headed to the office, so l took directly after selfies when I got home. I was super happy to see that I could see immediate results when I stitched my pics side by side! I shared my before & after pics with my friends & they could totally tell too. This review is strictly about the front office staff and not Dr. Ava Khosraviani, whom I found to be professional. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM (March 12). When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk to check me in. Another staff member behind the desk glanced at me twice but never acknowledged me. After waiting at the desk for a while, I finally let her know I'd be sitting down and asked her to inform the front desk receptionist that I was there to check in. Her response? "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you had been checked in." This was strange considering there were only two people in the waiting room--myself and another woman. For context, she had blonde hair, and I have braids. Once I was finally checked in, my appointment itself went fairly smoothly. Mica was kind, and Dr. Khosraviani was quick, yet confident in her approach. I felt comfortable with my appointment. I then stopped at the front desk to make my co-payment, but also remembered I had another question for the doctor, and the staff kindly took me back in. This is where the experience took another unpleasant turn. As my husband and I were walking out after my second visit, the same staff member who initially ignored me, chased me outside to tell me that I had "forgotten to pay." Confused--since I had already paid--I went back inside, only for the front desk attendant to confirm that, yes, I had paid. This interaction was UNNECESSARY, EMBARRASSING, and POORLY handled in front of the other patients who were now waiting to be seen. I truly wish my experience had been different because Dr. Khosraviani was great, but the front desk staff--specifically the woman who delayed checking me upon arrival--could benefit from better training on professionalism and patient interactions.

Dr. Anne Dacko told me that they usually prescribe Ketoconazole for the type of skin rash I had;…read moreyet she prescribed more of the same thing that her colleague had previously prescribed that was not working. When this was still not working, I called Apex Dermatology and a nurse told me to cleanse the rash with Magic Molecule before treatment. When this still didn't work and I had my 2-week follow-up with Dr. Anne Dacko, I asked her if we will now be trying the Ketoconazole. She ignored my question and decided to rub skin swabs on me to send off to an outside lab. She said she'd have results in a couple of days. She did not tell me they were going to an outside lab. I found that part out later...when my insurance told me about an out-of-network bill coming in. I thought they were doing the test in their office. Also, I came to find out that it was going to be a week to get the results because Dr. Anne Dacko only works one day a week at Apex Dermatology and I would have to wait for her to be back to get the results. Later, my primary care doctor said that there was nothing to biopsy if I had no skin lesions...which I didn't; so, he believes those test results were bogus. After she got those tests she put me on some other meds: both oral and topical. Still the rashes were not going away. BTW..it started with one rash and then I got more. Then I had my annual physical exam with my primary care doctor. He looked at my rashes. He said the treatment for my rashes is Ketoconazole!!! He took over the care of my rashes. Told me to stop the treatment I was on as prescribed by Dr. Anne Dacko and he prescribed Ketoconazole: both oral and topical due to the fact that I had these rashes for going on 3 months. Within 2 weeks my rashes were gone!!!
