We just started going here for pizza because Crystal river is lacking in that area. So far we have had good service and the pizzas are pretty darn good. Place is nice and quiet even when they are busy. We haven't taken advantage of the BYOB yet. Tonight we may even try something besides their pizza. I think that this place could make a great Detroit style pizza.. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name.... We ate here twice, and by the second time, they remembered me and my drink preference. Possibly because they messed it up a little the first time, but still. That was impressive to me. I know I was in the south, but I drink unsweet tea. And I drink a lot of it. They were kind enough during both visits to bring me a pitcher to keep my drink replenished. Yay! The pizza here is also great. Many toppings to choose from. Although I wish they offered spinach as an option (at least I didn't see it on the menu), there were still plenty of things that I found to put on my pizza. I highly recommend giving their meatballs a try. They come very thinly sliced on the pizza, yet they are full of delicious flavor. Our service was sometimes hit or miss. It seems like they need to hire more help to keep the place clean and the patrons happy. The restrooms and the floors suffered a bit in the cleanliness department. But our overworked servers tried hard and were really great to work with. I just hope they get some relief soon! read more

Just got a delivery to our hotel room. Requested napkins and didnt get even 1. Pizza is so soggy in the center you cant even eat it without knife and fork. We dont have silverware, it's so limp when you pick it up everything falls off. Pizza wasnt even cut all the way through. Powder dough dessrt isn't even soft. Rock hard ends. I've been trying to call them for 10 mins and keep getting a recording. Requesting they come back and give me a refund. Worst pizza ever! read more

I was in town for vacation, wanted pizza so took a gander at reviews on Michael Anthony's... at first I was thinking great another pizza joint in a strip mall.. WOW was I ever floored by the amazing quality and TASTE of the pizza and garlic knots! We were met by employees greeting us and very friendly. Pizza had lots of cheese and pepperoni, but the crust was the bomb! Thin crust and cooked to perfection. If you're in the area don't be put off by a strip mall place, it's amazing! FYI I also noticed local Police Officers eating here so I have to assume it was good and friendly. read more

We used to think that this restaurant made the best pizza in this area. It was fantastic authentic and delicious. However something drastic has gone wrong with their pizza. Something is different. They either changed the dough recipe or the pizza chef but it is definitely not as good as it used to be. We used to order at least twice a week and have it delivered to our home and it was always something to rave about. . But it is not the same lately. The food here is great! We have never been disappointed & have had at least a dozen different items from their large menu.

We found this place shortly after moving to the area last year. The original location was closed and we were disappointed because all we heard were great reviews about this place; turns out, they closed their old location and moved across the street into the Publix plaza. We stumbled upon it by accident when we were shopping for groceries. One of the best New York style pizza joints around! Third time that I've got an egg plant Parmesan sub and a chicken Parmesan sub to go but I've asked for extra sauce and there's almost no sauce at all on the sub. The girl that works the register acts like she doesn't want to be there and that never makes for a pleasant experience when you come in. An update!! Okay, service is a little slow but seriously plan to spend a little time their food is truly worth it. Had their pizza again and asked for crumbled sausage on the pizza (this item fills their stromboli) and it was awesome!! Also had the chicken alfredo - this dish was not only HUGE (DID I SAY HUGE?) but it was fabulous! The leftovers have given me 3 more meals already and there is at least one more serving in the frig - gets better every time I heat it up! Order parmesan garlic Wings which were dried out ordered a large antipasto they sent me a large chef salad I had to wait an hour and a half to get that food then the girl comes after telling her how to get there my order came to $30.10 I gave the lady $40 turns around takes the money and walks away doesn't offer me any change doesn't even say thank you just turns around and walks away. So after waiting an hour and a half it's now something to eight me and my husband decide to eat we realized they sent a large chef salad which is cheaper than the antipasto. We called up told him what happened the lady told us that we would have to wait yet another hour or so before they had a driver to bring us the correction of our food in the meantime they wanted us to give them back the chef salad so we would have to wait till 9:30 before we could eat dinner First time eating there will never ever order from them again I will not give them a good review that's how we tell everybody do not go there read more

Great pizza!!! Don't go for the ambiance..and don't judge the place from the way it looks...go for great food. We went today after hearing about it from the guy at Enterprise rentals. He said they make something called an Italian hot dog. Never having heard of such a thing I thought I'd try it. It was soooo good! It had such a strange bunch of things in a big, fresh piece of pizza dough..2 hot dogs, peppers onions and potatoes all cooked til caramelized and yummy...totally recommend it. Have enough left over for breakfast tomorrow! The pizza is super thin and the crust is outstanding. We had the regular cheese and the white...both fantastic. Wish they had beer...you can bring your own and next time we will. The price was right.. 2 slices and a soda for 5 bucks!! I heard excellent reviews of this pizza place. I'm originally a Jersey girl and enjoy a good pie. We placed a take out order for a large pie and 2 liter soda. It took 40 minutes of waiting to finally be told that the pizza would be out soon. I worked for a pizzeria years ago and know that it doesn't take that long to cook a pizza. There were a constant stream of orders (mostly eat in) but only one other pizza order during that time. A man walked in while we were waiting with an open box and told the counter person that the pizza wasn't what he ordered. How come we can't offer them "0" stars? Or even "minus stars, bury this crap in the deep woods" rating. Last year, my new Florida friends had dinner delivered from here and I was impressed with how good it was. Today...complete turn around! Oh my, where to begin? The grilled chicken prosciutto was horrible- way too much bread for what little was inside. But what made it worse was the chicken AND prosciutto were very thin straps of leather, one of which was so dry and burnt, it should not be called chicken. The other slab-o-meat was so awfully tough and we thought a bit too salty, was extremely poor quality. Yeah, quality and these meats shouldn't appear in the same paragraph! The grilled "chicken" wrap suffered the same meat category. Our not-so-picky two year old dog refused it! Imagine that, if you will. She swallowed the salty slab-o-meat whole so as to bypass the leathery chewiness. We don't starve her at all, so her appetite is usually still in tact, but not with this. We don't wish to harm the wildlife that sometimes visit the property, so we had to discard it properly. (Actually, and quite sadly, more than 3/4 of tonight's meal had to be thrown out.). Now then, choice of pasta and choice of sauce didn't fare well either. We had hopes of Angel hair pasta with what they called "mushroom sauce" which we had hoped came in a white wine mushroomy-garlic type sauce, because there wasn't a description of what the secret sauce was. Well, nope! Red sauce it is, the very sauce we didn't care to have in anything ordered. (It's like a can of diced tomatoes, watery, with maybe(?) a small pinch of some kind of herb...maybe- not sure. And that came on fettucini noodles. Disappointing to say the least. (That sassy little girl that took the order on the phone mumbled something, maybe it was about the pastas and the lack thereof?? Not sure, I don't speak mumble-ese.). The mushrooms seemed old, not very fresh. BTW, the side salads I understand, used to fill up the little styrofoam containers pretty good, but not this time. The yellow parts, not leafy parts, filled them up about halfway. pfft. For the price of a little over $56.00 plus the cash tip for the driver, what a horrible, awful waste of money. Not the tip for the driver, but the food was sub fast food standards. That will be the very last time we order from this....do they still claim to be a restaurant/eatery? A young dog wouldn't even eat some of it. Best you go elsewhere, like we will be doing from now on. Save yourself the agony of bad food and a waste of money. read more

Had friends over so ordered to Sicilian pizzas and garlic knots. Garlic knots I had no garlic butter just a pile of garlic on top of each not they were not fresh. pizza was like eating a loaf of bread with a little bit of sauce and cheese and pepperoni. Not one person liked the pizza. after the amount of money I spenit on dinner I called the restaurant to let them know I was disappointed and the manager couldn't care less. First time I ordered from there. I ordered a Sicilian Pie the crust was like a rock & so dry. The dog had trouble chewing the crust. It tasted like it was reheated, when I called them they said since Sicilian pies are thick the crust would be well done so it fully cooks. There is a big difference between well done & a rock. Not just pizza! The waitress is fabulous, very friendly and super efficient! She was very helpful with assisting each of us to make the best dinner choice. The menu is expansive! My brother-in-law ordered the Stromboli it was loaded with meat, veggies and cheese, absolutely delicious! My sister-in-law ordered the Michael Anthony Chicken.. it was very flavorful, loaded with chicken and vegetables, but a little too oily for her taste. I could see the oil on the bottom of the plate.. but it was full of flavor. The pizza was very good, hand tossed. Very close to New York pizza. The garlic knots are very good, full of garlic! Just had my 1st Michael Anthony pizza, probably because I live in Ohio, excellent pizza reminds me of a pizza place back home that I love. Gave it a 4, but it would be a 4 1/2 if I could. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because of size options. Personal to small, 16" to big, loved it though. I'm staying for another six nights a very good chance I will order again.
