I ordered a large takeout pizza yesterday around noon- I wanted leftovers. I ate 2 slices because I ordered it and I was hungry, but the leftovers went in the garbage. I'm pretty sure they had an already cooked cheese pizza that was leftover and just added my toppings and warmed it up a little bit and foisted it off on the unsuspecting takeout customer (me). This was a terrible pizza- comparable to crappy pizza you see at the gas station that's been sitting there for hours. Very obviously not fresh. My pizza was $24 plus tip. This place is a neighborhood gem!! They've been open over 50 years! It was packed with regulars and had a family vibe. Just awesome!! The calzone was gorgeous and fantastic! That dough is amazing and they loaded it with fillings. The chicken parm was disappointing. It was good, but felt like wedding reception quality frozen chicken patty. We heard from a few people to go here for sure, so we did. We need gluten free options and the pizza and salad were it. Pasta sitting on the shelf is always an option for restaurants, but not here. The Greek salad was pretty good. The potato salad in it could have had more flavor, as it was somewhat bland. The house dressing was good, but I still added both salt and pepper to the salad. My wife had the salad with meat and no potato salad. She thought it was just ok. She also added salt and pepper to add more flavor. Not sure why my salad did not come with their really good garlic bread, so I got my wife's as it is not GF. Maybe we should have tried the pizza as they looked good. We asked our waitress what was good and she didn't like a number of things on the menu, so not a good person to ask. Maybe she should have pulled someone more experienced over to answer our questions. If we are in the area, we would get the pizza. I would have had the baked ziti, but the waitress that bit was a pretty small salad, so o passed on that as I was hungry and wanted a lot of food. When I was leaving I noticed that the side salads were on a plate and looked like a great size (unless that was a different size salad). Oh well, a little confusing I suppose. I know they do a great business as the parking lot was huge. The food came out really fast as well. I just was not sure how to rate this as we were a little confused about a few things, sizes, no GF pasta and not knowing what was really good here according to the waitress. By the way, they sell their homemade salad dressing and that's always a great idea when you find a unique dressing. Lastly, the water was filtered and it was really good ( I know, sounds funny, but lots of places don't care how bad their water is. Yup, we will go back when we come back to try some other things. Being from CA it's really hard to find good pizza. I'm not a pizza person but my husband is and says this is as close to CA as there is. He had a jalapeño, bacon, pepperoni pizza and loved it. I had the Greek salad. I'm Greek and the potato salad in the middle is not traditional but that salad was spot on. It was delicious!!! Every single staff worker comes to your table one way or the other while there and they are all so sweet and kind. But, I have to say Lauren K was my most favorite tonight. Not sure why she just stood out. Took care of us like a mother would but we are way older lol. Thank you Luigi's and thank you Lauren. We will enjoy our leftovers for lunch tomorrow. read more

Shame on this establishment. I ordered through GrubHub and got my order only to find out that they went back and charged me extra money for my order. They claimed it was for a change in the order which is absolutely untrue. I contacted GrubHub and GrubHub then told me it was because they said they had incorrect prices online. So basically they were doing a bait and switch. I would not have ordered the food if I saw those inflated prices. I ordered the food based on the prices they had listed on GrubHub and expected to receive the order and not be charged random additional amounts without being told. I should've been told they were going to increase the prices and given the option of canceling the order or they should have honored the menu price. First time visiting this restaurant. I have to say i was pleasantly surprised. Food was wonderful and came out hot. Waitresses went above and beyond and had smiles on their faces. The inside of the restaurant was extremely clean along with the bathrooms. I even got the opportunity to meet the founders grandson who works there. The restaurant first originated in 1970. LUIGI'S is BACK, BABY! Oh, how we've missed the food, the folks and the fun! So, imagine our 'glee' when we found out dining in was no longer out! My Fav Fab One and I KNEW exactly where we were eating dinner last night, for the grand re-opening celebration! (We even took showers!LOL) Lots of memories whisked by as we pulled that familiar door open. And there they were! Faces of friends, images of a not forgotten place. We saw Toni, Karen, Jessica, Lauren and the gang! Big smiles and even better virtual hugs! Let the games begin! We sipped our adult beverages, we munched on bread and soup and salad. And we talked, talked and talked. I ordered my old buddy Lasagna. I pulled that luscious gooey prize close as the steamy spice stream flowed dreamily about me. Yes! Life with Lasagna...complete. My Fab One ordered a 'custom' dish, with a foodie wish. Happily, and deftly, Jessica wrote down, 'Beth would like a meatball, with some sausage and peppers & cheese in a marinara, baked off to a light crusty finish'. Luigi's is the local pizza joint, it's been around forever, and pizza is my favorite food group. They have a breakfast pizza too which checks my boxes. The service has always been adequate, and every time I've been here someone in the family that owns the place calls me by my name, and asks how I'm doing. The server never came back after I told her I dropped my knife, so one of the other women gave me theirs. She never refilled our drinks or came back by to see if we needed anything. I paid over $20 for a calzone that should not even have cost half that price. One of the other women in our group liked this restaurant,so I waited until I got home to call. The only thing the manager offered was that I should have complained while I was there. I know that the regulars don't want me to do a review of this place. I loved it!! Such reasonable prices, great staff- kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious. I got an email that said take pictures of the food but I literally did not have a bite left! We had a large pizza (special), 2 Greek salads and 2 carrot cake pieces. Everything is great, I have been going here for 10 years, and it has always been the best place to go for food. I moved out of state and every time I come back I always visit this place. The service is incredible as they nice, funny, and even after one visit, they will remember you years later. They also get you refills, food, water, etc. really fast. The ambiance is incredible and just looking around entertains you until you get your food. They are actually the one first ever pizza places in Florida. Even though all their food is impeccable I would recommend the breakfast pizza, ravioli, and salads. (Both the tase and texture are on point. Crispy crust, delicious sauce, perfect portions of cheese). Overall, after going here for 10 years, this is one of the best places to eat in Florida. Luigi's is very popular, there was very little parking left in a rather large lot. The restaurant part was filled but I was there to take home a pizza that I have done in the past. The pizza was very good. The people that take the order and then when I came back to get it really were not in a hurry to give it to me , nor did they seem friendly in any way.
