This pizza hit all the right notes. The crust was firm with just the right chew, sturdy enough to hold the slice without being dry. The cheese was melted perfectly and had that satisfying pull with every bite. Plenty of pepperoni, well-distributed, with a nice balance of flavor and grease--not overwhelming. Simple, classic, and done right. A solid slice I'd order again without hesitation.

The pizza is good. Not great, but good. They do get a strong crunchy bottom crust that hold up to the weight of the toppings. The garlic knots and pepperoni bites are really good!! Fried artichoke hearts are a waste of time. Frozen from Sysco.

This is a great authentic NY Slice right here in Hernando. Today my dad ordered two pies. Fresh garlic, Italian sausage and a pepperoni pie. Both fantastic! So tasty and the seasoning flavor was out of this world !!!! So delicious. I will definitely be back for some take out and maybe to dine in my next trip. Make sure you give them a try while in the area !

My go to pizzeria for great tasting pizza with real nutritious ingredients. On the barstool scale I give the pizza a 7.9. Good crust and sauce was tasty. Garlic knots good Garlic flavor and ample sauce for dipping.. Service was fine. Nothing special... it's a pizza joint. Pizza was decent enough. A little on the soggy side more so then I prefer. Made it hard to pick up and fold. What really got me is the $6 charge for a kids chocolate milk. That is absurd. I could buy a gallon and a half for $6 at the store. Wish we knew ahead that was going to be the charge we would have probably said nevermind. read more

I went out to dinner with my family of 5 on Saturday, as we stood at the front door for several minutes I said "shall I seat myself" the snotty little girl at the take out window named Candice snickered and mocked my words to the T then replied "it's not my job" as she's shoving her face full of chocolate in front of other customers the rude little girl apparently doesn't like her job and maybe should have just said "hi welcome, a server will be right with you" we were finally taken back sat and given a waitress named Shaina who brightened up our visit with a smile, excellent service and friendliness she was perfect and so was the rest of the staff as well. We had a party of four adults and three children, they couldn't seat us. So we ordered to go. In the almost hour we waited for our takeout pizza & calzone, seats opened and they refused to seat us because we ordered it to go. They refused very rudely when it would have been easy to change our order to dine-in. Waitress & staff were very rude and our food was under cooked. The only positive thing about this experience was exiting the restaurant. read more

The Pizza Villa on Cortez Boulevard is one of the best places to get a New York style pizza! The people are great, and the food is very good. For all the people in the Tampa area that head down to do a little paddle boarding or kayaking in Weeki Wachee, do yourself a favor and call to order a pizza and take home some deliciousness. Unfortunately right now due to Covid they are only doing takeout, But you will be speeding to get home to open up that box! Don't get me wrong, their meals are very good as well. Huge New York Style large cheese pizza. Thankfully my hotel room had a full size fridge and I was able to keep the leftovers and had pizza at at least 1 meal for the next 3 days. This is our go to for Pizza..ask for the Danny's Special and you will not be disappointed..hand crushed tomatoes and spices and super delicious..got the Sicilian Danny's this time with extra Cheese and crispy and it was delish..we get the extra large Danny's regular Pizza from here too and it is so good...it was cooked to perfection..great place to eat on or take out and they are always so friendly... read more

So typically I love this place when I go there, the pizza is fresh and hot, the food is good. But I had a not so great experience that never got addressed by door dash or the restaurant. Now I paid almost 12.00 for a bowl of soup delivered and what I got was a sample of soup. I've spent countless dollars at this place to just have a dump and dash. So much so that you guys are not my favorite spot anymore. This is not because of just the soup but just in general when I order that I paid so much for many items here and the quality has been falling and failing. read more

I ordered a large Stromboli, and have included a photo for you to be your own judge. It was pathetic. Mostly bread with hardly anything else. I showed the waitress, who showed the owner. I paid $17 for a simple large pepperoni pizza. When I opened the box when we got home, I got this mess. And of course they closed by the time I got home and threw this "pizza" in the trash. I wrote to them on fb messenger and let them know whoever cooks pizza at this location produces this garbage. Whoever answered asked me if I got extra cheese. Are you kidding me?! they asked for my info and I gave it to them. They said someone would call me but I'm not holding my breath on them calling after seeing other reviewers about their rudeness or lack of customer service. read more

When I arrived, the girl behind the counter asked the cook if the order was ready, and he said no. The two of them then got into an argument in front of customers about when she was supposed to press a button in the system to notify Grubhub that the food was ready. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. They apologized and told me they hadn't even started the food yet, so it would be another 15-20 minutes. I waited patiently in my car, went back in, and the food was finally hot, so I rushed home. Once I opened my meal, I realized they gave me the wrong order. Instead of the ziti and eggplant meal I ordered, they gave me plain baked ziti -- and it was very dry. I called immediately, and the girl told me they could remake it, but only if I drove all the way back. After already waiting an extra 20 minutes, I asked if there was another option. She said they could offer a gift certificate, but only when the manager returned. She promised the manager would call me. I never heard from anyone. The next day I called again and was told the manager wouldn't be in until Wednesday. I waited, and Wednesday came and went with no follow-up at all. For a $20 order, the situation could have been handled so easily. Instead, I listened to staff arguing, received the wrong meal, and then got zero accountability or customer service afterward. They even tried to blame the Grubhub system until they finally admitted they could see I did order eggplant and ziti. What happened to simply taking care of the customer? We've been coming here for years, but after this experience, we won't be back. Plenty of other Italian restaurants know how to treat people better.

This was a terrible pizza- comparable to crappy pizza you see at the gas station that's been sitting there for hours. Very obviously not fresh. My pizza was $24 plus tip. That's not crappy pizza price!

I guess more people wanted the cooler area as it was a bit hot and humid outside. Parking can sometimes be hard to get in the front, so there is a back area too. There is a small stage for concerts now, but I haven't seen any yet. The mechanical horse still works, but the dino one was out of order, and the dolphin one looks to be gone. Staff is pretty quick and friendly. I am glad I ate here again on Sunday as the food was good and filling. No complaints for 7.50 on a footlong Nathan Chicago dog. It was cut in half, (think foot-long) it was a little hard to eat, but it was so deliciously filled with yummy ingredients. It had Kraut, spicy mustard and a sweet onion sauce like they have in NY. It was so good, but when I am in the area again, I'll just opt for the short version. :) Stop in and give this gem since 1960 a chance, who knows, you might even run into Elvis while you are there. ;)

I find it very upsetting that when you enter a restaurant, and they ask how many, we say 5 we get seated and order an app. And the server said the kitchen closes at 9. But clearly the hours on the door say 9:30. It came to the point do we leave to go somewhere else or just order. We decided to order, some of our people didn't cause they felt they would not trust these people and might do something to there food for having them stay late. Even on yelp it says they were closing at 9:30 we didn't feel like we were welcome at all. Elaine We ordered calamari and a pizza, the pizza they made wrong and when asked where were the onions they said the kitchen is closed that was at 9:15 when the restaurant closes at 9:30 you can not even enjoy anything. My suggestion is do not go to this restaurant you won't be happy. I do not recommend this restaurant giving a 1 star is more than efficient than the deserve. read more

Outstanding Food and People!!!! About to order take out tonight...as soon as I finish this...Cannoli too... Dine in or take out. Great food for a very reasonable price. Only negative comment....Their bread served is a large hot dog roll...But the rest of the meal makes-up for the bread. Highly recommended. I'd write more, but I need to call in my order...
