I brought some friends here tonight and it was amazing! Adorable atmosphere and excellent service too! Drinks ordered were taken promptly and then we placed our order..we smelled the delicious aroma of fresh baked Bread which was served to us right away and it was delicious...our meals were served with Salads and side of Pasta ..Chicken. Parm. ,Lasagne and Chicken Franchese was ordered. As well as a Personal Pizza....the Pizza was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious...we did not need the Pizza but wanted to try it for our next visit...They loved the Lasagne and the Chicken Parm and the portions were very generous...I had the Chicken Franchese which was served fresh and hot and was one of the best I have had...served with side of Pasta which was o.k..and the delicious Caesar Salad was nice and fresh...delicious and if you have not been here you are missing out! Will be back soon!!!

We have not done that yet, still enjoying the lunch visits. I would recommend making a reservation though. the tea room is not spacious, and we have seen walk ins turned away for lack of room. but for us, the highlight is the interaction with the owner. NOT for the snooty or stuffy customer. If you get offended when the owner jokes with you as he takes your order, PLEASE don't come here. Your attitude embarrasses us all. His demeanor is like that gruff old man who accepts that he has to repeat the specials, but who can't resist chiding you about it. All the staff is wonderful, but he stands out with his banter. For a lunch, or just tea and a scone, definitely try Sweeties.

Fresh, hot, yet soft crispy bread - the way a Cuban is to be! I also got the Devil crab and a side of collards. It was all great! One of the best part is the owner, Mr. Jim Anderson himself shares all his family treasures, lifestyle, music, and stories with guest. The decor in the restaurant is musician heaven with different instruments and artifacts - very jazzy/blues feel. Come to find out from the very informative lady working, that Saturday afternoons they have live acoustic music from one of the band members?!? I need more info tooooo- !
