Our primary considerations going into surgery were two-fold: (1) Would he survive the surgery considering his age? (2) What were the chances the surgery would cause paralysis? It was scary to consider. After much prayer and consideration, my husband opted for the surgery. He had extensive spine surgery at the end of April 2026. His entire spine, from top to bottom, had to be straightened. Without a doubt it was gruelling work. His surgery went from 9 to 12 hours because of its complexity. We can't imagine Dr. Ladner's exhaustion after such intricate and extensive work on a patient for 12 straight hours. Today, let me declare unequivocally that Dr. Travis R. Ladner is truly one of the best surgeons in the country - if not THE BEST. To us, he was and is a Godsend. Here we are around 3 months later. My husband has just about made a full recovery. Family, friends, medical practitioners and other doctors are astonished at the surgery and at my husband's quick recovery. My brother, who has worked as a Physical Therapist for over 30 years, says he's never known of, much less met anyone, who has had my huband's full-spine surgery. Would we do it all over again with Dr. Lader? Heck, yes. I am a former patient of this once beloved physician. Dr. Mysko was referred to me by a longtime…read morefamily friend with whom was a patient for 30 some years. I thought I had found the perfect physician in Dr. Mysko who reminded me of an old time country doctor. Unfortunately this perfection didn't last very long. I experienced numerous billing errors with my insurance co-pays, duplicate insurance claims and difficulty making appointments with his gossipy and snippy receptionist. . I must add that the doctors RN, Ris, was very knowledgeable, kind and professional, she went out of her way to accommodate my medical needs. In my opinion, Dr. Mysko failed to provide me with the medical care I needed but had no problems billing my insurance company for procedures I do not need. He also prescribed medications to me that I later found out that not only did I not need but the medications caused me some nasty side effects that I wasn't expecting. I had been having trouble sleeping and my insurance company referred me to another medical specialist. That specialist tried numerical times to confer with Dr. Mysko by phone and email yet got no response. I reminded Dr. Mysko quite a few times to no avail Later in my tenure with this doctor he agreed that my medical condition warranted being placed on long term disability and had his nurse give me some paperwork to complete which I did and submitted to the state of California who in turn contacted Dr. Mysko for my medical records and his recommendation. To my surprise Dr. Mysko never completed the required medical information even after many, many letters and phone calls from the state and me. Consequently the claim was denied which put me in a financial situation for five months time until I finally was able to relocate with family members yet never have been able to work again. It's my opinion that this physician has made so many false promises to me that I'm unable to recommend him and his services to anyone. Perhaps it's his time to retire and live off the profits of his many braggadocio real estate holdings including the building his practice is in.

This doctor was the completely the opposite, and with his advice and physical therapy i was able to recover from my accident without the need of surgery. He took the time to explain matters and I did receive a couple cortisone shots and PRP treatments during my 2 year period I was under his care. He has a gentle hand too when injecting those therapeutics. Not sure why such bad reviews, but when you have to wait an hour to see a great doctor, what the difference when you have to wait an hour to eat at great restaurant... get over it people. He's worth the wait !!! I would be more concerned if the patient waiting area was empty !!!

We have been going here for years and…read moreover time the service has become worse and worse with wait times regularly were close to an hour even with an appointment. The focus has definitely shifted from medical care to supplement sales, which is unfortunate because it is hard to find a good homeopathic doctor in our area. The icing on the cake was driving through an hour of traffic for an early morning appointment only to be told that they no longer take any type of insurance as of the first of the year. No communication or letter was sent notifying customers of this. Our family is done with Dr. Michael Hirt and the Center for Integrative Medicine...we are now switching all of our care to the UCLA system which does also have some eastern medicine MD's.

She suggested she could move my appt in 2 weeks to next month and I could tell him then that physical therapy mill upstairs wouldn't see me because of their outrageous requirements. Another said I should send him a message on the patient portal and I explained I couldn't because they hadn't listed him as one of my providers. Their eyes crossed. Out of the 5 women at the front area, not one of them even connected with the dr's nurse to find a fix because the dr was out. I cancelled all 3 of this month's dr appts immediately.

I left a message over the weekend, hoping they'd be able to get a new patient in that week and i was actually called over the weekend by the front staff. She was so kind and friendly and got me in Monday morning where Dr K set my wrist and explained everything. I was in so much pain and disbelief that I actually broke a bone but the Dr and staff took great care of me! Over the next several months they tended to me and i healed up pretty amazing. I still have a little something going on, but it's all been explained and referrals were given to get me back to normal (hopefully). A+ to Dr K and staff! Highly recommend!

They make you sign a bunch of papers while you're feeling vulnerable right before the surgery. On top of this, the surgery didn't cure me. After finding out I didn't get cured, he wanted to recommend something they buy off vendors that come into their office to sell stuff. They also only gave me 3 months to pay the balance in full and told me that there was no longer payment plan cause the "doctor has to eat." Went to a real doctor that followed medically proven procedures and was fixed What a snake.

I went to Dr. Chen in 2019 for a simple hemorrhoid removal. I now have no external sphincter…read morecontrol and am unable to have bowel movements without a regimen of softeners and bulk laxatives. He had business cards saying he was a Rectal Surgeon but turns out he is only a General Surgeon. He decided robotic surgery was best which I thought was a little over the top but what do I know. I thought everything was fine after leaving his surgery center until I tried to have a bowel movement two days after surgery and could not. I felt a foreign object and pulled it out from down there and it turned out to be a Lidocaine patch normally used for muscle pain.....in my rectum. Removing it caused his sutures to come undone. I followed up with him and he only wanted to perform other tests. His office manager was apologetic saying, "We should have told you about the patch." Although I paid the full balance with a Cashier Check; someone called from his office trying to get paid the same amount again. I told them I paid in full and after a little back and forth they relented. His staff was excellent and I feel sorry that they have to associate with a Butcher like Chen. Also: no other surgeon will touch you after going to Chen because they are aware of his sub-standard care. Choose wisely folks.
