Just gonna go ahead and remind you permanent teeth don't grow back! Wish I had thought about that before the stupid cliff. Anyways, long story short; I have had at least 30 dental professionals work on my mouth in the past four years. Out of all of them, I can easily say, Dr. Dorothy was the most thorough. She and her team took care of my teeth like I was family. My initial one hour appointment for a filling turned into three hours as she realized there was a lot more work. There wasn't a sales pitch or pressure. She simply gave me my options and explained the outcome of each choice. I couldn't believe she took the time to explore all my options. So rare these days. I wish I found Dr. Dorothy and her team years ago. Side Perk: Also as the name suggests, all the chairs in the office have a gorgeous view of Gore Creek and the towering East Vail Chutes. Honestly, I'd be happy looking at a freeway, as long as Dr. Dorothy and team are working on me. You might even start looking forward to dentist visits. Haha!

That appointment was then canceled via text (Avon Dental truly abhors using the phone to make personal connections with customers). Through text, I was able to reschedule. Just a few days before the rescheduled appointment, I was told via text I am in fact not in network with insurance! It is such a shame when a great medical practitioner allows the front office to ruin the reputation and dissuade new business coming in through the front door. Good dentistry obviously needs a great dentist, but you cannot ignore the other business needs surrounding the customer experience. While the Vail Valley doesn't have a ton of options, if you are seeking a positive customer experience with the ability to speak to someone on the phone without tremendous frustration, I advise you to seek elsewhere!
