Greeted by a manager and then handed off to a very experienced sales person. She impressed me because she looked so young. Price - $80k, the one we liked out of the two. But we really prefer a B Class RV, so we're still going to keep shopping until we find exactly what we want. Absolutely amazing experience shopping at blue compass RV for our new camper. The whole purchase process was smooth with our rep Matt. He showed us the trailer that's now our home and really took the show away enthusiastically showing all the features in detail and making sure to explain everything thoroughly. Upon pickup process was smooth with everything explained by our tour guide. Even though we had some issues during the first 3 weeks of our time with the 26BH Matt was very quick with making sure we got a technician to come out. We got met with Donald who was very fast and professional with his work while keeping a positive attitude and a smile the whole time. I don't usually write bad reviews, only good ones. However, I could not stand back and say nothing the second time we dealt with Blue Compass RV. A year ago I bought my brother a 17' travel trailer from Blue Compass. At first everything was fine, everyone was happy and taking care of my brother. Once the papers were signed and the trailer was paid for, they had little time for him. He went to pick up the trailer and they pretty much just said here's the keys bye bye. He finally got someone to give him a go over with the trailer, which was a bad experience with virtually no information. My brother left without the title and it was a joke trying to get that from them. The amount of miss information on getting that was ridiculous. I talked to the manager Terry and told him my frustration and he apologized, but nothing changed. A year later my brother was looking to get a better trailer and decided to go back to Blue Compass even after how they had treated him. He saw a trailer he liked and we decided to put down a deposit on the trailer to "hold" it, so that he could go look at other trailers in the area. The sales person Kayman was all nice when he thought we were going to buy a trailer from Blue Compass. My brother ended up getting another trailer at another retailer and called Kayman back to let him know and that we would like the return of our deposit. Kayman was rude and pissed at my brother and did not hide his feelings. Kayman said he would notify the finance department to get back the deposit and hung up on my brother. After a few days my brother called back and spoke to Brina in Finance and she said she was never told to return the deposit. I called Blue Compass today to speak to Kaymen to let him know how I felt about his ill treatment of my brother and that he was sweet to me while I was making payment for the deposit, but mean to my brother when my brother called back to say he wasn't going to buy a trailer from them. He immediately gave me attitude and used the excuse that he hung up on my brother because he was with another client. Huh?? I told him he would never go far because of how he treats people. He made a rude comment to me when I told him that. I told him to transfer me to Brina in Finance. It took 5 mins for Brina to take down my CC information to refund the money and she was sweet! NEVER BUY A TRAILER FROM THIS PLACE. THEY WILL TREAT YOU BADLY, EVEN WHEN YOU COME BACK A SECOND TIME. ALL CASH SALES MEANS NOTHING TO THEM. read more

In 2022 we bought a Grand Design (GD) 5th wheel from Sprad's RV (now Blue Compass) in Reno. This was one of the first models with an all 12volt refrigerator and no propane option. We do a fair amount of dry camping, and our salesperson warned us that the single solar panel GD added to the trailer would not be enough, so we had them add another panel and upgrade the batteries. A few months after we took delivery, the refrigerator stopped working. We took it to a GD dealer nearer our home, and they redid some settings and said it was good. The next time we went dry camping the refrigerator worked but drew power so fast that it would not last through the night. This time we took it back to Sprad's (now Blue Compass) to fix this problem as well as some other minor warranty work. It was with them for 5 months. In fairness, this time might have been shortened but snow on the pass between us and them added to some of the delay. When we finally did show up to pick it up, we tested the electrical draw and found the problem had not been rectified. Their technician saw this as well and acknowledged that that indeed something was still wrong. We needed the trailer right away for an event (where there were power hookups) so we could not leave it longer. The service manager apologized and said he would arrange to have repairs completed at a Blue Compass dealer closer to our home. I could make this longer, but I won't. The short version is that the trailer would spend nearly a year at Blue Compass RV in Manteca before Grand Design finally replaced the refrigerator. So why the high rating? It is because Terry, the manager at Reno Blue Compass, stood by us all the way. When Grand Design said that the power supply was the problem, Terry authorized upgrades to try and make it right, acknowledging that they had sold us a trailer that we could use for dry camping. At the end, when Grand Design refused to pay the labor cost to install the new refrigerator, Reno Blue Compass stepped up again and reimbursed the Manteca dealer. I want to point out that this was done after the warranty expired because Terry recognized this as an ongoing problem. If I look for a new trailer again, Reno Blue Compass will be my first stop. They put us as customers first. They sold us a trailer that they said could be used without hookups and then made sure that is what we got even though the problem was with the manufacturer. Yes, we had a little challenge with their service department but any experienced RV'er will tell you service is the bane of RV ownership. Thank you, Terry and Reno Blue Compass. read more

1 Star - Extremely Disappointing and Costly Experience I brought my 2022 Grand Design RV to Blue Compass RV for warranty work. Before dropping it off, I specifically informed them that freezing temperatures were coming and that my RV was not winterized. I was assured multiple times that everything would be fine. When I picked up my RV, I was informed that due to freezing temperatures, my shower head had cracked and my water softener located in the pass-through had burst. They replaced the shower head with one they had on hand and told me they had ordered a replacement water softener. After getting the RV home, I noticed water dripping. Upon further inspection, I discovered that multiple water lines going to my water heater had cracked and were leaking. Blue Compass RV admitted fault and sent a mobile RV technician to replace the water lines. A short time later, I noticed more water leaking, this time from a weld on the water heater tank itself. When I contacted Blue Compass RV, they denied all responsibility, claiming too much time had passed and that it was likely a manufacturer defect. I was left with no choice but to replace the water heater myself at a cost of $600. Not long after that, I discovered soft spots in my floors, indicating ongoing or previously missed leaks. When I contacted Blue Compass RV again, they completely denied ever letting my RV freeze, denied replacing my shower head, denied ordering a new water softener, and even claimed that the mobile RV technician they sent was not their employee and should have pressure-tested everything--despite the fact that they sent him. At this point, I am left with an RV that has suffered extensive water damage, soft floors, and multiple leaks, all while Blue Compass RV refuses to take any accountability whatsoever. This experience has been financially draining, stressful, and completely unacceptable. Do not--and I repeat--do NOT bring your RV to this dealership for service work. read more

I had to give it a 1... deserve a -10. I see that blue compass has numerous complaints with BBB. The finance person is clueless, no one seems to know how to properly prepare paperwork. We bought the trailer 2 months ago and still have no plates. Blue compact can't help...no surprise there. We paid $750.00 to have it cleaned (mandatory fee) and when we picked it up it was filthy. Stay away!! Beware. Caveat emptor. If you go in just hand them your wallet first because that's all they want. Nick in service, if still there, total complete BS from start to finish. Service is actually Sales. Sell you work that doesn't need done, or overestimate repairs to scare you into buying a new RV. Service reps here must make a commission just like sales. Mar. 2025, I had simple seal replacements to be done, had my parts all ordered and in stock from Jake in Parts there (best person I dealt with there). Estimate was only 2-3 hours of labor. Nick intimated one day turnaround. A week later no work was done at all. Nick claimed they found "micro-cracks" needing $3000 worth of special sealing goop and all new window seals. Which when i examined carefully did not really exist. Told Nick just do what I asked for, and he said couldn't without doing the goop etc first. Suggested I'd be better off buying new RV. I finally talked hi into doing the original work. Days later he said pick it up. Only did half the work. Still tried to overcharge me. Had to argue about it to lower overpriced bill. A week later, Nick has the nerve to leave a cell msg for me, saying I still owe them money and to pay now or next time I'm in! WTF? read more

Worst service experience ever!! Brought it for a recall repair and they did the most horrible job on caulking around the front upper window on our Class C along with footprints all over the hood!. They had to redo it because it looked like my grandchildren (age 2) did the work. While in there they backed into the rear ladder and had to replace it. This also left a small scratch which they repaired -terribly, looked like they just used a marker, also the protective clear on hood front was buffed out when they cleaned the footprints off hood and left it cloudy looking from scratches, so our lovely, undamaged 2021 Omni Thor now looks worse. What's worse-if possible- is we never got calls with status updates we always had to call them. Manager left all communication to a young service gal that shouldn't have been left with explaining their incompetence and shoddy worjmanship. Was told it was a 2 day job and ended up being over a month. Will never be back, wish I read reviews. read more

Use this company at your own risk. I purchased an 2022 used RV from Blue Compass Alvarado Texas last Feb. Had it delivered to my house first part of April. Texas was to go thru the RV pre delivery for issues. Found on demand water heater broken the day before the driver was to pick it up. They replaced the unit with a different brand. Delayed the driver several hours. Heater door cover was to be painted and shipped to me. Still waiting. Large slide out was not working, took RV to Blue Compass Reno in April. They said they were getting parts. Frustrated I told them (Blue Compass Reno) I'm taking the RV back. JULY! I get there and was notified parts were then being replaced that were stolen out the inside of the locked coach. Slider still not fixed. Still don't have a painted water heater cover. I could go on about the service, but 4 letter words would start to inserted. If you use this company BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! read more

This place was formally called Sprads RV. I purchased my RV from them under that management but I have had to resume my business with management at what is now Blue Compass RV and I have to say it's really no different. Blue Compass still doesn't handle business efficiently. They still don't return calls in a timely manner, they still have huge miscommunication issues, so much so that we've been CC'd on emails by accident and guess what the issue being addressed was???? Lack of communication among staff and management!!!! Long story short, we had a mess of a time with our trailer when we initially purchased it, you can find that review if you Yelp Sprads RV and look for my name. Anyhow as a result from that issue the previous manager had told us we would be granting an extended warranty free of charge. For weeks we asked for proof of that warranty and instead we received paperwork for a manufacturer warranty. At that time we thought that paperwork was one and the same, only to find out it wasn't and now we're being shafted out of proof of that coverage. No one returns our calls and this matter still has not been rectified, we're reaching 3 weeks and Deyesha (Office Manager), Terry (General Manager) and Jared (Former Regional Manager) still cannot figure out what to do about not being able to locate proof of the warranty that should've been filed by their former general Manager Mark. This place is not worth your money, time or headache. Take your business to a place that deserves it. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First off we took our trailer in Sept for a slide repair. They had it 3 months! I told them what was needed the day I dropped it off. By the time they actually looked at it 3 months later it took less than a week to repair. We got the trailer back in November. It has been sitting in our backyard untouched since then. Yesterday we took it out for a quick overnight camping trip. Go to use the toilet and it smells like shit! Check our gauges and the black tank is FULL! The dealership used our bathroom for three months!! The next day we tried to dump it. NOTHING came out. Tried to back flush. NOTHING. So I added as much water as I dared along with chemicals and dawn dish soap. Drove home and stopped at our local dump station and luckily that worked. Do not use this company or buy a trailer from them. They are beyond awful. read more

I wished I had read these reviews before purchasing our Airstream Bambi 16. The salesman and manager at the time (Brandon) were very helpful in arranging the purchase and trade of our Pleasureway RV and transport of the trailer to California. However since we actually took possession of the trailer, it has been a nightmare. We have owned trailers for over 50 years and are not newbies to purchasing pre owned trailers. Yet the deception of the condition of the trailer has thus far cost us over $5000.(These have had to be repaired or replaced: axle, fan, water pump, door latch, sewer pipe, 7 pin cord, hot water heater plus promised new face plate for CD and still not sent). I say deception because we paid $695 for predelivery prep fee and were presented a list of items that were stated as in operating condition. Because our trailer was over 6 years old there were only 5 items on that list that were checked as in operating condition. So far each of those items has had to be repaired because they were not in operating condition and were not things that were evident in walk thru tour. Plus numerous other things have had to be fixed including a new axle because the suspension system was shot which we could not have been aware of until we actually towed the trailer. I have tried to work with the new manager but only reminded that once the trailer leaves the lot, the dealer is not responsible. So what was the $695 predelivery charge for. Certainly not inspecting and assuring operating condition nor for cleaning. I also have communicated with the regional service manager but still have not heard back. So the moral of the story read reviews and believe us when we say DO NOT PURCHASE from this dealer. I am not painting all the Blue Compass dealers with this bad review. I must say the the dealer here in Sacramento has been outstanding. read more

Don't let the Christian music and the folksy sales staff at the Columbus, OH location lull you into complacency. This AutoNation spinoff seems to be uniquely focused on their own bottom line and if you look behind the curtain of balloons, confetti and the delivery-day VIP silliness you'll find a defensive, dismissive and impenetrable service department that is seemingly interested only in: 1. Being right, 2. Stonewalling against warranty claims, 3. Promoting and Protecting their corporate interests and 4. Blaming the manufacturer for a laborious, impossible warranty claim gauntlet. So far I've tried to have 4 kinda simple (but important!) things repaired under warranty and I'll give them credit: I'm a persistent guy but they've worn me down into submission and that's not easy to do! By my own hands and with my own money I'll fix the several hundred dollars worth of items and it'll be nice just to be done with these people and their intractable self-centeredness. On the bright side, I have been able to chuckle about how clean the service techs' hands are because instead of doing actual repairs they apparently spend their day deflecting and defending against doing any actual repairs!! I have a broken trailer but that can be easily fixed - they have a preposterous corporate lifestyle and that's much, much more difficult to rectify. read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! If you come in for service and leave your unit on the lot, be prepared to have it broken into and your stuff stolen. Manager Terry Brown will blame it on you for not taking your stuff out of your trailer and make you deal with it. He will finally get tired of listening to you and will either pass you on to someone else to deal with you or give you his personal credit card to pay for things to shut you up. You would be better off going to Camping World or RV Country then Blue Compass. Severe turnover at Blue Compass and in the last year they have gone through 3 Service Managers because no one wants to work there and put up with Terry Brown and his micromanaging and the way he talks down to you and blames you in his own way even when he is in the wrong. Worst company ever. They also have had several KPA and OSHA complaints and suits filed against them. To top it off every month a customer is filing lawsuits against them. We bought a consignment camper there, a nice RPOD. The backup camera was not working and was a selling feature for us. They replaced it for us as it was not working. The staff are very helpful and listened to our needs, called us by name. The service team is excellent and very helpful. So far we are impressed. PLEASE READ. Worst buyer experience ever. After purchasing a private party trailer in Texas and hating it. We contacted Blue Compass on our way back to Nevada wanting to trade it in. Arriving at the dealership on 3/7/24 we explained we haven't registered it or changed the title yet. No problem they said. The trailer we were purchasing from Blue Compass had to be transported from Las Vegas and should be ready by 3/19/24. It was a recent trade in and needed to have some things fixed. No problem WE said as we needed to be in California for camp host jobs on 3/20/24. On 3/17/14 we were contacted letting us know that our trailer wouldn't be ready because they broke a slide during pre inspection delivery and the awning still wasn't replaced. Our trailer wouldn't be ready until HOPEFULLY the following week. Remember we needed to start a job on 3/20/24 which required us to have a trailer. Finally ready on 3/25/24 we can now go in and pick it up. During walk thru, there were still several things wrong with our trailer and things we couldn't check due to it being winterized and not hooked up to a water source. Why am I being charged $750 to do your job and point out things still wrong and the awning still not fixed because someone ordered the wrong parts. Half way thru the walk we were told by the finance manager that we had to go to the DMV and have the title changed in order for them to use it. You were aware of the title almost 3 weeks ago and have all that time to contact to us to have it fixed but now on the day we are to pick up our trailer you can't use it. No walk ins at the DMV. Luckily I was able to get an appointment the following morning. We were unable to finish our walk thru at our appointed time due to the DMV issue so we were rushed thru the follow morning because we had to load up the trailer with our belongings and head back to California for work. We have contacted the regional manager JAKE KALIL and still have not had any response. It is now been almost 3 weeks and still nothing about our awning. We caution any buyers to look elsewhere before buying here. Their ineptness and horrible regional customer service should be used as a warning. We will also be contacting GRAND DESIGN to inform them of the kind of dealership that is selling their products. read more
