Dr. Sarah and her team are SO GREAT. You instantly feel welcome and at ease with your child's care…read more They work quickly yet are gently with your kids and make it fun for everyone! My daughter had her second appointment there yesterday. Her first appointment was at about 16 months of age and she was quite freaked out (entirely due to her age) but the staff was completely calm about it and made it as quick and fun as possible for her. They even have a "quiet room" for small children or patients who may be a bit more anxious. Her appointment yesterday was perfect. The hygienist and then dentist both explained what they were doing and talked and sang to my daughter the whole time. Seriously the best pediatric dentistry. Go!

The location of this practice was convenient for our family, and as new residents to the area, we…read morescheduled a new patient appointment for our three-year-old. We prioritize dental care and have consistently maintained regular visits and hygiene for our children since their first teeth appeared. However, during the visit, I was surprised and uncomfortable with comments made by the dentist regarding our family's infant feeding choices, especially given the fact that my son was well past the infant feeding stage and had/has no known oral hygiene or development issues. Specifically, I was told that formula feeding from a bottle was "unfortunate" and that "this practice likes our babies breastfed". While I understand there may be clinical reasons for discussing feeding and oral development, the delivery felt judgmental and inappropriate given the context and timing. I hope the practice considers a more sensitive approach when discussing personal family decisions with patients and gets a complete medical history from parents before making them feel ashamed for their feeding decisions.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH! I was reading some of the below reviews and I am…read moreconvinced that people are just crazy, delusional, or writing fake reviews for other offices. I had to write this review because we have been living in East Cobb for years, and we have always loved this office! We use to see Dr Allen too, but he has hired some amazing, certified, great with kids, doctors to help while he is in school. The other day I asked the office manager when will he return. She told me he will be done in less than a year. I think it's awesome that he is getting a degree in ortho to make his office even better than it is now! Some people wrote that each time they come to the office, there is a new doctor. NOT true, you can request the same doctor, there are only two others. But what century are these people living in? I NEVER see my regular annual doctor but always see his assistant or nurse practitioner whichever one is available. It's the same concept here people. This office even has a 24 hour emergency number. My daughter fell off her bike and hit her front tooth year ago. Dr Allen opened the office at 6 o'clock on a Sunday to look at her. Each time we go to this office everyone is very professional. When we get there we are always taken back at our appointment time and all the girls there from the front reception area, hygienist, to the x-rays lady is pain free and nice. My Kids get prizes at the end of their appointments. And they always ask to go back just to play. Take it from this East Cobb Mom, you will call this place home! Thank you ladies and Dr Allen for being there for years and making us always feel like family. To everyone else reading this, you will not be disappointed.

I want to like this place. Really, I do. The staff is very friendly, and I love that it is a small,…read morelocal practice. However, you don't bring your kids to the dentist to make friends. My review is not based on their attitude. It is based on my child's experience with their dental care. My child had been a patient here for just under 2 years before we switched to a different doctor based off the inadequate care we received from Pediatric Smile Studio. First of all, their X-ray machine has not been functional for several months now. As such, my child missed getting an x-ray at the last checkup late last year. I was told to check back later about scheduling an X-ray appointment once the machine was functional again. I called back a month later. Still not working. A month after that. Still down. At this point, my child had a visible cavity, and I stressed my concern, asking if they had an alternate dentist performing X-rays for them. There didn't seem to be a solid back up plan in place, and seeing a cavity in my child's tooth prompted me to pursue a different dentist. At the current dentist, they were concerned about FOUR different spots (I had only been informed about the possibility of one potential cavity at PSS). After running X-rays, they identified that two of the cavities needed fillings. One was so bad, my child needs a root canal and crown. The current dentists suspects that this cavity took about a year to form. Keep in mind, we had been patients of PSS for around 2 years at this point. Meanwhile, I had only been informed about the possibility of one at Pediatric Smile Studio. Also, this suspected cavity was noted on the patient file at PSS, yet I was not made aware of it until the next checkup six months later. I really would have appreciated being notified about it more promptly. If I had, the root canal and crown could have been prevented. Overall, it is inexcusable that my child was a regular patient of Pediatric Smile Studio for almost two years, never missing an appointment, and four cavities (2 extensive) were identified immediately at his first appointment elsewhere. Parents, beware!

Unacceptable Experience and Concerns Regarding Hygiene and Billing…read more I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent dental cleaning appointment. My experience was highly concerning due to misrepresentation regarding insurance coverage, questionable billing practices, and, most alarmingly, a severe lack of sterile protocol from the dental assistant. From the outset, I was informed that my routine cleaning would be free as the office was in-network with my insurance carrier. However, when I inquired about potential charges, the staff was evasive and unclear, which immediately raised a red flag. The most concerning aspect of my visit was the dental assistant. She appeared to be new and demonstrated a profound lack of awareness and training. She repeatedly failed to hear or respond to the dentist's instructions, requiring him to repeat himself multiple times. Her hygiene practices were particularly alarming: * She frequently put her gloved fingers in my mouth, then immediately touched the computer screen, and then returned her same gloves to my mouth. * She handled the X-ray gun with these same contaminated gloves, touched the screen again, and then put her fingers back in my mouth. * At one point, she put a pen in her mouth and then proceeded to put her fingers back in my mouth. This blatant disregard for sterile technique significantly increased my anxiety during the appointment. Following this, the dentist informed me that I had tartar and inflammation only on the right side of my mouth and recommended a deep cleaning costing $720. Given the previous issues and my knowledge of my own dental health, this assessment felt disingenuous. I immediately expressed my desire for a second opinion, as I was confident there was no such issue, especially confined to only one side. My insurance plan covers two cleanings per year at no cost. After leaving your office, I promptly scheduled an appointment with another in-network dentist, where I received a proper and thorough cleaning without any issues. However, shortly after my visit to your office, I developed a sore throat, which I strongly suspect was a direct result of the dental assistant's unsanitary practices and cross-contamination. I urge you to address these serious issues immediately, particularly the unhygienic practices of your staff. No patient should be subjected to such a risk of infection. I also recommend a review of your billing transparency and the accuracy of your dental assessments. To the smooth dentist aka Bollywood: don't have your staff lie and say you're in network when you're not. That's fraud. Scamming money from your patients will bring you nothing but bad karma ok Bollywood. So don't do it. Be honest you'll be a better person.

Most importantly, though, I had to take my child in for an emergency appointment after another dental provider canceled on us. Dr. Cornay was able to see us 30 minutes after we called and was able to perform the dental procedure. He gave us a good overview of the pros and cons of the procedure and what to look for during her recovery. He was extremely patient and gentle with my scared little one, who could watch a cartoon during the procedure. Even better- they charged us $1,000 less than the pediatric dentist had quoted us. Thank you Dr. Cornay!
