Then for a couple months, I was getting 2 bills, one for the service I was getting before the switch, and one for the new u-verse. So I was being billed for the same services twice (internet and home phone) at 2 different prices. I took the matter to a supervisor and they fixed the problem immediately, the double bills stopped immediately, and they even refunded some of my money for the trouble. And even though the new u-verse cost more, they gave me a discount for the first year. Their excellent customer service made all the difference.

The contract takes away your right to sue the company and locks you into a 24 month contract. The cancellation fee is hundreds of dollars. For the $44.99 windstream internet service, I am paying $24.65 a month in taxes and fees. The flex package for the Dish network does not even include your local channels. BIG RIP OFF.

I have always remained loyal, always paid my bill on time, was the "Classic Sucker". For what reason I have no idea, I have remained loyal to a fault while they abused me at every turn. I had my cable, Internet, and telephone with them thinking they would show me some appreciation... No! That just gave them more options to arbitrarily raise my bill anytime they felt like it. And they certainly did do that. It seemed like every time I opened my bill there was some nonsensical increase without warning. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced any other carrier would be any different. So I feel stuck. Called customer service to no avail. They give you a bunch of double talk and no help at all. I have now cancelled my cable TV to get my bill under control. So, what did I find when I opened my May bill... a combined increase of 25% for the Internet and phone. Just can't win...

I pay a sh*t ton of money for crappy service. My internet goes out more than I do. I have an autistic child that uses his tablet as a calming device but how do I explain to him that the WiFi won't be on for several hours for absolutely no reason because we have random outages when the weather is perfectly fine.
