Michaels has lost me as a customer. In the last 48 hours, they failed to have pictures ready as promised, couldn't ring up my purchase with the $10 off $40 purchase coupon from their app (tried 4 times) until I was so frustrated I walked away last night. Went back today to pick up my framed photos that were supposed to be ready, but were not, and then tried to purchase items again using a coupon and expressed my frustration so they offered me 25% off my purchase, which is the exact coupon I already had to use today (not doing me any favors people) and no coupon for the delayed pics I was having framed (was told yesterday they would be ready this morning). Instead, I went to Joann's to purchase the yarn, buttons, and playdoh I needed and they honored my 25% off coupon. read more

Looking at the reviews - it looks like there needs to be a refresh. We have been going to this store since we moved to the area. The staff are helpful and the store is typically kept neat and clean. As someone who does a variety of crafts and have kids who love to practice creativity, I love having a store I can take them to explore and try new, creative things. read more

Where to go in Bountiful when you need crafting supplies? Unfortunately the only full-service option is Michael's. I have been a patron for years and over time have noticed a decreased selection of products, fewer coupons offered, and scrapbooking items taking over more space than ever. My main complaint stems from the lack of service. Good luck finding an employee to help you if you need help. You should probably anticipate a 10-20 minute wait at the checkout, because the only line that ever seems to be open is the return line. Despite all that, I really like the Martha Stewart line and their yarn selection. They offer holiday items months before you think you need it. My advice...find a 40% off coupon and don't go on a Saturday. read more

I was so disappointed today waking up to the store with my son, and the employee was smoking right at the entrance and blows the smoke into the child's face. I visited the Bountiful Michael's this afternoon with a buddy of mine, and it was the first time I had been to a store since I was a teenager. It was a nice layout and I left my friend browsing for his item we came for whilst I went and looked around the store. Immediately after crossing into the next aisle I felt as if I were being watched. Glancing over my shoulder I noticed a female employee near by looking down at a clipboard in her hand. I shrugged the feeling off and went back to browsing. About two minutes later I had that eerie feeling again and when I came out of the aisle, this time there were two additional female employees acting like they were talking when clearly you could tell I had caught them watching me. This continued around the store and I realized shortly thereafter I was being profiled. It was a very uneasy and uncomfortable, embarrassing even situation. I was dressed in normal clothes, and everything else was normal as well. I felt like I had just been put in a line up for someone who committed a crime. Shortly after I noticed other employees watching me a surprise well as I met up with my friend and he mentioned he felt the same way. We made our way to the checkout and paid And left...I can say I was really surprised by the actions of these employees...I hope nobody else has to experience it. read more

Just popped in today because our little craft nut is having a birthday next week. I can honestly say I have very little interest in crafting but because I am wrapped around our daughter's little finger, I not only have the Michael's app on my phone but spend waaaay too much time (and $) in this store. We've done multiple craft classes. The last one a couple weeks back had something to do with making Easter bunnies out of slime, I think. Turns out today we hit the Michael's "Spring Black Friday" sale. Hey, if we're just making up holidays now I've got a few ideas... In the (great?) tradition of BF Michael's had some "door-busters" which were good deals if you needed that stuff. In our case one of the cool features of this event was one-time discounts. Download the app for frequent offers. The coupon today gave us 50% off a single item. My wife used it and I checked out separate from her and used it. That saved us about $20. My mom and I come here fairly often. I come mainly for painting supplies and my mom comes for yarn and other crafts. Most of the store is scrapbooking supplies, and they don't have too much when it comes to paints other than acrylic and art books. Do not use Michaels website for purchasing items. I used their website to order a hot deal and some supplies for a class that I was taking at Michaels. The class materials were in the store, but I got a discount if I ordered it online and had it shipped to the store. It has been 2 weeks, and I still do not have my order. Because I needed the class supplies, I ordered from Amazon 5 days later. My order arrived (thankfully). Now I am waiting for the order to be shipped to the store (maybe next Friday is what I'm being told). Then I can return the order for a refund. read more

Great place to get CRAFT supplies! One of the bigger craft stores around. They are jam packed with lots of great decor items. It's my go-to place for Christmas bows! Never been a big fan of the framing department. But you can find so many beautiful reasonably priced floral arrangements! I custom order all my floral arrangements for decor, gifts, sympathy/funeral gifts, etc. Michaels has always been a reliably good store for all creative needs! read more

I have spent about $300.00 at the bountiful michaels in the last week. I have spent thousands over the past 15 years. I went in last night to exchange (for the second time in one day I might add) 2 picture frames I had purchased as they were again the wrong size, my bad. the second time I had forgotten my receipt. they did not have the correct size in stock. they said the manager had already gone home for the evening and the supply truck comes in on Monday, to try back on Tuesday. I went to the register to return the wrong frames. I said I would take a store credit so I could return on Tuesday to purchase the correct frames. here is the punch line. I had purchased them at 40% off and had paid $8.99 each. she was only going to give me $5.99 each for them. she said without a receipt that is all she could give me. I threw a hissy fit in front of a whole line of people and stomped out exclaiming I would return tomorrow and speak to the manager. I came home, found my receipt, will return the frames and never darken their doors again. if that is their policy to screw their customers out of that kind of money, they have just lost a good customer. unbelievable!!! read more
