    Brisket Burger

This place has so many amazing things about it. It's very clean, the employees are super friendly, the generous portions of food and the quick order to table timing. I had the brisket burger and it was phenomenal with so much flavor. The drinks even came with the chewy ice! Got some macarons afterwards too! This place is out of the world good!

Such a lovely place with excellent service and GREAT food and sweet treats! I'm sorry I don't have pics. We came after a Sight & Sound Performance so not a surprise there was a wait. But they were clear the wait would be approximately 30 minutes and took my cell # to text when they were ready. Of course we had a browse around the attached home goods store which was lovely! This is a solid choice & worth the wait! The bakery items are divine!

My husband and I visited Agapē Cafe & Grille after watching Daniel at Sight & Sound Theatres. Clearly, we weren't the only ones with this idea because there was a bit of a wait to get seated. But honestly, the wait flew by! We browsed the adorable Beautiful Home Interiors shop connected to the café, enjoyed some delicious pastries, and even got to feed the goats outside (make sure to bring quarters for goat food - so fun!). What started as a quick lunch stop before heading to Philadelphia turned into us changing our entire weekend plans to stay local and come back for breakfast the next day. There were so many things we wanted to try that we didn't even get to sample their breakfast menu this time. My husband is already planning to drive up three hours just to try their breakfast! Here's what we ordered: - Famous Smoked Beef Brisket: Incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm very picky about brisket, but this one did not disappoint. And let me tell you--the BBQ sauce was sooo good. (Now, I'm really wondering if they sell it because I'd love to take some home.) - Sweet & Spicy Burger: My husband loved every bite. The tomato jam and garlic rosemary aioli on the toasted brioche bun paired perfectly with the burger. - Pork Burnt Ends with Mac & Cheese: Super flavorful and rich. While it was a bit fatty for my taste, my husband couldn't get enough. - Festive Salad: Fresh, vibrant, and loaded with strawberries, blueberries, and sugared pecans--although it was inter, it was like summer in a bowl. - Double Cheesesteak: This wasn't quite my thing. It was a bit dry for my taste, and I think I would have preferred a cheesesteak sub with more vegetables. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience felt like a little slice of small-town charm paired with exceptional food. If you're in the area, Agapē Cafe & Grille is absolutely worth a visit--and maybe even worth changing your plans for!

After our Sight & Sound show we came here for lunch. It was quite busy, waited maybe like 20min. Service was great and food was amazing! Loved browsing the store within, really cute unique stuff, a little pricey. Will definitely return when in town!

Decided to make my way out to Pennsylvania - I'm from California Amazing customer service! Very Friendly staff. They recommended the beef Brisket :) so I ordered the beef brisket with a side of garlic mash & green beans. It was so good! The brisket was so tender & paired well with the bbq sauce that was on the table. I will definitely be coming back- Hopefully soon!

Recommend! Service great! Food was great portion size and well made, little on the sweet side. But meats cooked well, and all made in house.

Agapē No. 2 French toast, two eggs and side of meat (bacon). Note: lettuce on the left corner of the plate

I tried this place on a bustling Friday morning. The place was packed but was able to get a table without having to wait. The dining area offers both booths and tables. I loved the setting. Beautiful decor, modern, and chic. I wasn't sure what I wanted to try so I ordered the Agapē' No. 2. The portions were much bigger than what I was expecting. It definitely filled me up for the day! Cons: There are no sound barriers. It was a packed house and super loud. Although we got seated without a wait, it took a bit for our meal to come out. Also, my food came out warm. My husband ordered an omelet and you could see the steam when he cut into his meal. There was shredded lettuce with my French toast. Not sure how or why it made its way on my plate but it was there coated with powdered sugar. Regardless of the noise and unexpected lettuce, I would try this place again. For breakfast or the lunch menu.

Great food beautiful decor. The staff is so friendly. It gets busy as this is in the tourist area of Lancaster County, so there can be a wait time but totally worth it. My favorite is the avocado toast!

The turkey super melt was delicious! I added a little rosemary aïoli to it too and it was divine! I forgot to take a picture before I ate half it was that good! A great, stylish, clean, and friendly place to eat! A must if you visit Lancaster!

I looked on Yelp and quickly pivoted here and I'm glad I did! The woman behind the counter was very kind and personable to everyone who walked in, there were free cookies that they were testing out that customers could take, and the seating was limited but clean. The big windows give nice views out to the parking lot and the rolling hills beyond. I ordered a "Rancher" which was one of the hot sandwiches. A bit like a cheesesteak but with ranch dressing and bacon. The sandwich was ready in no time at all and tasted great! Could definitely see myself coming back next time I'm in the area.

Definitely a top choice if you come here. The sandwich tasted great. The main problem I have is that I am not a fan of their rolls. The rolls are very doughy and seemed like there was too much roll for the sandwich. The service was quick and fast, the lady at the front register was very kind. Great service is always a plus in my mind for a restaurant. The location was clean, easy parking, and setup nice on the inside with plenty of seating. The price per sandwich is a little bit expensive.

I was seated in a booth and given a menu to look at. I requested an ice water and ordered the Shrimp Parm with Spaghetti ($14.99 plus tax) with choice of one side (chose mac & cheese) and garlic toast. The food came out in 12 minutes after I ordered. The portion of food was good which was comprised of 8 breaded jumbo shrimp topped with red sauce & melted cheese with a side of soft cooked spaghetti with a sweet meat sauce. The mac & cheese (orange) was very dense and rich. The thick slices of garlic toast were soft and buttery. After I was done, the check was brought over which was $15.89 with tax and before tip. I paid at the front register. Overall, the food I had was fantastic and I was a bit torn whether to choose a pasta dish or a traditional country homestyle meal. The shrimp parm was very tasty and hot as was the mac & cheese. The service was friendly and adequate. I was glad I stopped here instead of going to a smorgasbord restaurant, which was very packed and pricey. The meal I had at Ark House Diner was pretty reasonable.

A quick search later and I realized it was only 20 minutes from home. I immediately grabbed a friend and requested a dinner date for the item that caught my eye: the Bratwurst mit Kraut -- bratwurst cooked with apples and sauerkraut, served on a pretzel bun and topped with even more kraut, with a side of German potato salad ($12). But I'll admit... I was also eyeing their Obatzda Burger with Oktoberfest beer cheese. Feeling bold, I asked our waitress if I could order their regular Pretzel Braid appetizer ($9) but swap the usual cheez-wiz and spicy mustard for that dreamy Oktoberfest beer cheese instead. She paused, smiled, wrote it down, and said, "that sounds really good!" Bless the chef for making my pretzel + beer cheese fantasy come true. The pretzel braid was warm, soft, and perfectly salty, and that beer cheese was the real MVP -- smooth, melty, not too hot, and with a proper beer-cheese finish. When the bratwurst plate arrived, it was a showstopper. Juicy brat, tangy kraut piled high, and tucked inside a pretzel roll that was soft but sturdy enough to hold it all together. No mustard needed! The German potato salad surprised me, though -- I'm used to the warm version, so finding it chilled caught me off guard. But honestly? It worked. Perfectly seasoned, just wet enough to be salad without drifting into soupy territory. I demolished both. Dessert was impossible to skip after hearing our waitress describe it to another table. We shared both the Apple Caramel Crumb Cake and the Lemon Blueberry Mascarpone Cake. The crumb cake was served warm with ice cream, loaded with thick, crunchy topping that didn't rely on chopped nuts (bonus points!). The mascarpone cake was light and buttery with the perfect balance of lemon and blueberry -- like saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall all in one dessert sitting. Southside Deli's Oktoberfest menu blew me away, and if their everyday offerings are anywhere close, I've been seriously missing out. Add in free parking, a convenient location, and plenty of seating, and it's an easy go-to spot for lunch or dinner. Southside is officially on my food rotation radar now!

It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.
