I ordered online for pick up order, which advised it would be available same day. I was hoping to pick up after work. I waited a few hours still as no emil was received yet until I finally decided to just go to the store to inquire and pick up myself. Turned out it was missed and not ready for pick up. There was 3 people working on balloons, so I simply asked to know what aisle it was in, and I'd get it myself. Not a terrible experience, but moreso, I would have gone earlier had I known it was completely missed. Online had a discount so I was happy to have paid 20% off.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Michael's custom framing service. We paid $300 for a custom frame with matting, and the entire process was terrible. When I went to pick up the order, they couldn't find it anywhere in their system despite me providing every possible name and phone number. After waiting 30 minutes, they took a note for the person who worked on the order (who wasn't there that day). The next day, we spent another 30 minutes on the phone for the same person to figure out where our order was, only to discover it had been put under the wrong name. When my boyfriend finally picked it up and brought it home, the frame was poorly done. The print had fallen inside the frame, revealing the white cardboard behind it, and the clamps on the back of the frame weren't even secured properly, and there is no coverage on the back of the frame. For $300, this level of service and quality is unacceptable. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration--go elsewhere for framing services.

Purchased an item on line @ michaels. com, for a cutter by "We Are Memory Keepers. The item was received damaged and they refused to refund or replace the item. This is unacceptable!

    Paint-by-Number Kit

I came to Michaels looking for painting supplies but I was so excited when I saw a paint by numbers kit! I've always wanted to do one so I just had to have it once I saw it. There's a variety of paintings to choose from ranging from Easy-Challenging. I love Michaels because the store is always clean and the service is always friendly every time I visit. This location is also one of the bigger Michaels that I've been to. You'll probably find what you're looking for at this location! The kit I purchased was only $10, the paint and brushes weren't the best. Some of the paint was very opaque and the brush hairs weren't the most precise. However, I was able to make it work. I think for the price, it was totally worth it! The kit also comes with a wooden display hanger. The painting itself took about 4 days for me to complete but I'm so happy with the results! I recommend anyone who loves art to try out these kits. But I do have to warn you that it takes A LOT of time and patience to complete. They are meant for people with no experience with painting which is also a plus. I'm excited to come back to Michaels and do another paint by numbers!

She charges $40 for an hour, which I found very reasonable for her expertise. She helped me select materials, explaining what works best for beginners. Throughout our lesson, she was very patient and thorough. She let me take little videos to reference later. I left the shop with the beginnings of a scarf and a smile on my face. I really look forward to scheduling another lesson after I practice what I've learned so far!

I came here with my draftsman, a guy who still draws by hand -- a dying breed in a world that runs on Ctrl+Z. Watching him walk these aisles was like watching a monk in a cathedral. Every shelf, every pen, every tube of paint is curated chaos. And the best part? The staff actually care. They know the difference between gouache and watercolor -- and they don't judge you for mispronouncing it. Friendly service, clean restrooms (a small miracle in Los Angeles), and a selection so deep it could inspire Picasso's ghost to start over. From sketchbooks to sculpting tools, markers to mat cutters, they've got everything you need to make something real -- or at least look like you tried.
