Zero redirect to the reconditioned machines as a possibility, which my daughter had found when we split up. *I only mention the rejection because we left, went to another store who used the exact same company for payment plans and was approved in minutes & walked out with what could easily be described as a higher value machine (&yes, price) in no time. Back to this store. I have no idea the organization of this store. I'm more of a clothes maker than quilting, but really only found formal wear materials and some others. Also buttons, but kinda sparse selections. I usually sew church clothes & work clothes but also other random items like pj's. All that to say, it didn't come across as a fabric store where a variety of styles are supported. I was persona non grata after my "denial" so the items I was purchasing outright got put back. I didn't have the plague & I had cash. Just not $3k+ in cash. Unsure how the business stays afloat as this is not a way to attract repeat business. I completely forgot to take pictures, but I still wanted to leave a review because Jennifer in the fabric section was so kind and helpful. She took the time to help me pick out a fabric that would work well for the project and made the whole process feel easy and fun. I'm honestly so happy with the fabric we chose. I'm not done with the project yet, but once it's finished I'll definitely come back and post pictures because I'm really excited about how it's turning out. The store itself is also very well organized and nicely put together, and there are so many creative goodies everywhere you look. It's one of those places where you go in for one thing and suddenly have ten new ideas. They also have really great prices, and sales which makes it even more fun to shop and try new projects. Today, I am once again submitting a complaint regarding the same individual I previously reported…read more A friend of mine, Laura, picked up a curbside order on my behalf today. When she arrived at my home, she told me she had a very unpleasant experience with the employee who assisted her. According to Laura, the employee handed her the order in a rude manner, almost throwing the product toward her, and abruptly asked for her name. After giving her the order, he walked away without offering any customer service courtesy such as "You're welcome," "Have a nice day," or any other polite acknowledgment. When Laura described the employee to me, his physical characteristics matched those of the same person with whom I had a negative experience several months ago while picking up a curbside order. The individual is a short, heavy-set, bald man. I understand that he is currently a manager at the store. I have been a loyal Michaels customer for more than 10 years and have lived in Oviedo for many years. What concerns me most is that this employee was very friendly and helpful when he first started working at Michaels. However, since becoming a manager, his attitude toward customers has changed dramatically. His behavior is consistently rude, unprofessional, and completely inconsistent with the level of customer service I expect from Michaels. This incident occurred today, June 17, at approximately 1:33 PM. I am bringing this matter to your attention because this is not an isolated incident. Multiple customers have now experienced similar treatment from the same individual. I respectfully ask that this complaint be reviewed and addressed appropriately, as no customer should feel disrespected when simply picking up an order. We did a girls' night here last Friday. It was awesome! The…read moreowner heard we were bringing food so they had set up a table for our food items, in advance. That was so helpful. Picking your project in advance is required so they can have all your stuff ready. The fine details like colors and stains are decided on the spot. Funny enough, 3 out of 7 of us chose the same project! It was the holiday card display board. But even when that happens, as you can see with my picture, they all turned out very different. The class was booked for three hours and we were indeed there for 3 hours. They sell alcoholic bevvies for $5 and had a great selection. They have multiple bathroom stalls there that are very clean. They have a sink in the back with special soap that takes off any paint you might get on your hands/ nails. The staining process you gotta be careful with and wear the gloves. And the sanding process please be careful. A friend got a huge splinter which was bleeding. They helped us clean it up and put a bandaid on it so she could keep creating. Employees were super helpful and easy to flag when you needed help. But they pretty much roamed around the whole time and jumped in to help workout needing to be called over. I was impressed. They took group photos for us and we left with our beautiful projects! We can't wait to come back. They have events for kids as well.
