Best Mexican Resturant in cody. Kindest people work there. The nachos are MASIVE and so cheap and soooo yummy100% recommend.

After leaving Yellowstone, we were looking for a quick and local bite in Cody. We found this wonderful and authentic Mexican restaurant. I ordered three tacos ala carte, all with different meats. I cannot stress enough how fantastic these tacos were! I am allergic to gluten, so I have eaten a lot of corn tortilla tacos all over the country and these by far had the most wonderful flavors! The carne asada had such a wonderful seasoning on it that I would love to have them ship us the meat overnight (please send us a message and let us know if this is possible)! The carnitas was better than perfect and the shrimp had a wonderful flavor. If you are passing through to Yellowstone or a local that has not stopped in, do yourself and a great local restaurant a favor and go there today, and tomorrow! read more

Not the best Mexican food. Was edible. Had too much nutmeg or some type of spice in the beef. Salsa was very good cheese dip. My husband had a burrito. He said the meat was dry and over spiced. I had to ask for a lime for my Corona and the guy brought it over and laid it on the table. He seemed a little spaced out. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We checked Yelp, and saw the high marks, and decided to stop in. We stood at the rope for 20 minutes before they made eye contact with us. We were seated, then our orders taken. It then took an hour and a half to get out meal. We are a family of four, not a large group. My taco salad was fine, however my daughter's veggie chimichanga was made with bagged frozen veggies, and was super greasy....and the broccoli and cauliflower were still frozen. After that long waiting, you'd think the food would be cooked. And the service was just mediocre. read more

Great place to eat! I had a friend growing up, his grandma would come and stay the summers with his family. His grandma was from near Mexico City. She would cook for us, it food was wonderful! Absolute 1 star experience here regarding take out. Would not answer their phones, so we had to go in to order. It took over 50 minutes from ordering to receive the food. Once we had the food it was sideways in the container. My quesadilla, rice, and beans were all blobbed together. read more

On our way to Yellowstone and stopped in Cody for the night looked on Yelp and found Michael's Tacos. We were seated right away and started with an order of Guac and chips which was very good. For dinner we had Tacos, enchiladas and chimichangas.... all of which we just plain awesome. Great flavor in all of the food and the salsas were flavorful as well. Best Mexican food in the area! Huge portions and delicious food. Their queso is a particular highlight for us. My wife enjoys the chimichanga and I love their the enchiladas. This is one of the best restaurants in Cody. The food is too die for & the presentation is beautiful. The location of the restaurant faces the mountains, and the views are impeccable while eating. Service is amazing, and the staff are so kind. Our food came within 20 minutes of eating. We loveee mexican food, and all of us agree that it was within the top 3 of our favorite places to eat.
