Pretty much the only place you can come to for arts & crafts stuff. Not really my thing but I wanted to turn a painted rock I received from my neice as a bday present into a refrigerator magnet and really I couldnt think of anywhere else to go to get the magents. Of course Micheals had what I was looking for. They have all kinds of junks in here so I'm sure that if you have a hobby you can find what you need for it here. This place is a good size, well organized, and always clean. They have all the necessary things to be creative with. The workers are very kind and helpful all you have to do is ask. Also the lady in the front always offers me the 40% off one full priced item, trying to help us get the best deals we can get! The reason I gave 4/5 stars is because when it's is busy there is usually a line of about 10 people with only one or two cash registers open. I suppose it isn't really a big deal. The managers need to get thier stuff together and stop blaming stuff on other employees. I brought my kids for a summer kids class. They loved the first one so they ask to come to another. The second one was horrible. With a max 12 kids for the class why did the guy at the register keep selling seats and ended up with 30 kids in there?!?!?! 1. No space for 20... And they stuck 30 in there. 2. One long table was half blocking the door... Complete disappointment !!!! read more

I shop at this specific location frequently because crafting and home decorating is my therapy and I have to write a review about my experiences at this location because it is time I do so. I would like to say that the customer service has been poor these past 6 months at least and I'm disappointed that customers get treated like their not important. The receipts (my big fat stack of them) never specify names, only employee numbers im assuming) so I cannot really go in detail with names. There was one particular female/ cashier who made me feel so unwelcome and she had a condescending manner to her and whenever I see her working the cash registers, I will go to another cashier. Not something I should have to do mind you but of course the employees also don't wear their name tag lots of times so I don't recall her name. Also, there's a female manager who is the most unwelcoming and unfriendly which goes by the name Leslie. I am surprised that she gets away with her cold demeanor especially working with the public. With that being said, I feel a customer should have the most welcoming and helping experience. No employees dare ask if I ever need help and if I do need help, I am left hanging for lengths of time- IF someone does come to assist me. I really miss the days when employees treated their customer with a friendly attitude. This is the downfall of this Michaels location. Not sure if anyone else has these kind of experiences, but let's just say I am pleasantly surprised when I get a friendly cashier/assistance here. read more

Nothing you haven't heard in any of the other reviews here... Good supply although as one reviewer stated, the shelves can often be found in disarray and stuff out where it's not supposed to be. But it seems that almost everyone who works here is like, 12. Millennials really need to learn to read and be able to work through complex problems, like when the sign says "Everything in Line X or Category Y is 50% Off" they really need to figure out exactly what that means instead of fighting the customer about it. And to to treat people with a little respect instead of talking smack about their customers right in front of them! If it weren't for the fact that this is so close to my house I would go to another one, because this with the short-staffed cashiers (as other reviewers have mentioned) makes it always rather an annoying trip. read more

When I called to check on a yarn that had been out of stock for weeks, I was told "Were sold out and its not on our order it will take along time to get" No explanation or anything! I went to the Micheals down the road and got a cheery customer service guy who explained WHY they couldnt get the yard I need so badly, Needless to say I was much happier with my customer service from the other location. read more

Naturally as an Art Major I would come here for my quick stop for any missing supplies for my assignments, but the other day they shattered my heart into billions of pieces. I was stereotyped and rudely mistreated. I had always felt comfortable here, but not anymore...they made me feel bad and hurt my feelings, by stalking me with security and blurting out security orders on their speakers. The worst part was when i was walking around and an employee there with a lip piercing rudely blurted out, "Need Help!!?!?!" and that's when i really got upset and decided to not continue my purchase there. I will gladly change my shoppin to a different Michaels now. Hopefully no one gets mistreated like this again. All i wanted was a colored pencil for my scanned sketches. Good Bye!! read more

They are not so helpful or caring if you are disabled unless you have a wheel chair. Other than that a mix of helpful and not.

Alot of stuff are on sale most of the time. The only thing hurts them is their lack of open registers. And sometimes the chasiers are helping costumers find products and forget the line is so long and don't bother helping get the lines moving along fast enough. I mean they can ring someone else up while the other costumer waits for their product to be found, its simply common sense. Then once their product is found and arrived get back to helping them! Please call in for more chasiers if not. read more

Absolute Joke! I was attempting to return a $30 frame i just bought yesterday. Unopened & still in Michaels bag. I lost my receipt. Michaels management said they could return it, but i'd only get $5 for it... because that makes sense. I said if you scan it it will tell you what i paid & we could also walk to the shelf. "Sorry, there is nothing i can do." What a scam. I will not be shopping at that Michaels again. Good job, way to rip off customers. read more

More like 3.5 stars. I like that this Michael's is pretty huge, but like most Michael's it is just overwhelming and as much as it is trying to appear organized, I get so overwhelmed every time I go. I think most of the things I "find" here are simply a big fat stroke of luck. They seem to keep many things in two places, so I have to go to aisles that are clear across the store from each other to find them. I do like that they always have a coupon for something, and now even if I don't have one with me I can usually find one on my phone as I stand in line waiting to be helped. It isn't kept as clean as it could be and like I said it is very overwhelming (did I mention that I get overwhelmed?). The parking situation is good and the staff is usually pretty helpful, although not the most inviting (but who would be if they had to deal with the massive amount of things in that place). If you are going to visit, plan ahead to be there for a while. I always go in for one thing and end up with dozens more (just like my visits to Target). read more

I only come to this Michaels because it's convenient for me (being that it's walking distance). But other that it totally sucks. About 90% of the employees look miserable and very unprofessional. I can only think of 2 or 3 that greet you w a smile and are friendly. It feels like the heater is always on and forget about having enough cashiers to get keep the long lines moving. read more

Service is consistently getting worse at this store. I only gave it two stars because of the selection. You can hardly get help and when you do, they aren't very happy to assist. Then the line to checkout is always so long! Love this store, I am here frequently for paint supplies, and Halloween stuff. The only thing that is irritating, is I can never find any staff to help me find an item. Also there needs to be a price check scanner things, because a lot of times items are in the wrong spot and I don't know what the price is until i'm at the counter, then I feel obligated to but it if they already scan it at the counter when n there are ppl in line behind me. read more

There is really never anyone on the floor to help. Cashier Cara was no help at all. Talked like she was bored or lazy and used the "whatever we have there is what we have" I asked her if they had anymore cones because the only one I found was broken and also if they had anymore pompoms because it showed online that they had some in stock. So rather than checking for me or having someone on the floor check she charged the broken styrofoam cone, why would I want a broken cone if I was asking if you had anymore that weren't damaged?? I wasted my time when I could've went to the Michaels in La Habra where they are a lot more helpful. read more

We just picked up a custom framed needlepoint art piece at this store. The framer, Bryan, was friendly and helpful in choosing the frame and matting. They use a great computer imaging program so you can see exactly how your artwork or photos will look when finished. It's fast and efficient. He was also able to work within my budget and gave me an expected delivery day of 14 days. The project was completed in Less than two weeks. Jennifer was working behind the counter when I went to pick it up. She smiled and greeted me and when I gave her my last name she said "Darrell?" (no, she didn't read my first name from the computer, she remembered it because she had done some of the work on my order. That was a nice personal touch and I hope she gets an enormous raise for exhibiting great customer service skills. The wire still needed to be installed on back of the frame, which Jennifer did in a matter of minutes and I was on my way. Great job! read more

In early Sept. 2014 I took in two artworks and paid A THOUSAND DOLLARS IN ADVANCE to have them both framed with framing material they said was in stock. Well, AFTER I paid I got a call that the framing material wasn't in stock! It's December 5, 2014 and they STILL have my money and STILL have my art and the framing materials STILL are on backorder. No one cares. Why would they? They have my money! I will never shop at a Michaels again as long as I live. read more

The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I bought my daughter a My Little Pony stuffed animal and when I took it home, it was torn. When I went to return it for a new one, the cashier told me she didn't think she could return it. I said I didn't damage it, you sold me a defective item. Too long to say, but it was complete drama. She had to return it, give me my money back and I had to re-purchase it.....then since I bought it with a coupon, she asked if I had another one. I didn't, since I used it the day before and I had to download one online while she waited with a very in-sincere look on her face. Cashier acted like she was doing me a favor for returning a defective item. Really???????????????? Not to mention that I had bought more items the day before and wanted my original receipt back just in case (God forbid) something was wrong with another item. She said "I already gave you the receipt back" She didn't!! Then she looked in her trash, found it and handed it to me without saying sorry or anything.
