I quickly became puzzled over the frame color, size, and whether to use a mat or not. Thankfully, Kim came to the rescue. She was patient, thoughtful, and walked through several options with me without ever making me feel rushed. With her wonderful eye and expertise, we found a frame that fit perfectly, and adding the mat made the poem look so dimensional and lovely. It truly brought the piece to life. I also didn't realize they do custom framing, and that really fills a gap left when our local art store was lost during Covid. It's a pretty big and spacious Hobby Lobby. I don't usually go to Hobby Lobby as it's more convenient for me to locate a Michael's closer to me, but it's always nice to stop by when I get the chance too since there's always a mish mash of neat things that they have, either for cosplay, gifts for others, arts and crafts, etc. We're still 10+ days until Valentine's Day, but they were already clearing a good chunk of that out and all of the Easter stuff has been moved in. It's the same as any other arts and crafts store, you gotta be at LEAST 2 months early to get the best pick of the batch. Though on the other hand, you can get the super clearance items later on in the holiday season. I liked that there's lots of cute prints for their fabrics and different textures, seeing that most Walmarts don't have this anymore and Joann's is completely decimated. I think my main issues are all of the AI SLOP art that's being sold to those who cannot tell the difference and the fact that there was shoplifting randomly during our visit. Sucks, but yeah, it's mostly the AI slop that sickens me. I couldn't find anything that I needed during my visit, but my friend got some cupcake liners since the ones she ordered online were mini even though the website said nothing about the sizing, so she assumed they were regular sized. They, of course, had no Valentine's Day ones leftover, so she found cute bow ones. For on sale and clearance items, it works! read more

Random things, they even sell toys, candy, Things for the house, baking, Holiday things, decor, painting, drawing, arts and crafts everything. I love it, my daughter and I love coming here. It's so hard to leave without buying something lol. I got paper today cause we ran out and this adorable my melody hello kitty mini backpack for baby girl I got it cause there was only one left. Everything is on sale right now too which was so awesome. I placed an online order on 11/29 and paid $9.99 shipping. The item arrived on 12/10 and of course too late for our project due date. Had to purchase from Michael's to get it done in time. I returned the product today to HL and explained 12 days for shipping was unacceptable. They would not refund my shipping. Buyer beware if you plan on shipping with HL. I called corporate and asked for management and they would not budge. I think the shipping time was way too long and should have been refunded and not them making excuses it's the holiday season or their policy. I won't be shipping or shopping with them anymore! Sorry just venting but I also think you all should be aware of this policy. Also it sat in Colorado for 5 days and they didn't see a problem with this. read more

Dear Hobby Lobby, 62 mins in line! 4 out of 6 registers open. From a managerial perspective instead of your team lead for the front opening boxes of plate chargers why not open a line and hop on? Lines are to the back of the store and you only have 60% of your registers open. During the holiday season your staffing should be at capacity. I am pretty sure having guest wait in lines all the way to the back of the store is a fire hazard. read more

I hate coming here. I dreaded the thought of having to step foot in this store again but they have specific items I need that online or other people don't have. I may start commuting to different locations because of how bad this specific store feels. It's only when the manager with the brown hair and I think glasses is working, she has the worst vibes ever. She and the older woman with long white hair are really grouchy and rude and will assume you are stealing and follow you. Them being present in the store changes the entire shopping experience. Everyone else is working and being so sweet or helpful but these two.. oh man. My heart is racing just thinking about how icky they are. Last time I went there, I was immediately targeted as a potential thief. I did absolutely nothing to give them that idea so I believe i was profiled. I've witnessed someone else being harassed by the manager with the brown hair and her daminer when handling the situation was quite disgusting. She was leaning over the back frame desk area with an I don't care attitude and telling this guy to check her phone cuz "she wasn't taking pictures" of him. He was obviously offended by something like this, and he had a very alternative look to him so he was obviously profiled. I too may look on the alternative side but I can't say for certain that was why I was targeted. The old lady on the other hand has ALWAYS been a grouch. She always had a bad attitude when working and whenever you asked her a question or needed to use the restroom, she would make the craziest sigh as if you are ruining her life asking a simple question. I just thought she was an unhappy lady and whatever, she's just mean. But when I was profiled at my last visit, the old lady was the one who was following me everywhere at the command of the brown hair manager. Of course they would work happily together to catch all these "thieves". I do not like them, I do not like this store now. Visited this Hobby Lobby location last night. An item was displayed with multiple 40% off all fall items (this item could have been considered a fall item) multiple signs all around it. When checking out asked to confirm the price, cashier replied it was full price. I didn't buy, and suggested on the way out to a manager they might want to move the sign as it is deceiving to customers. The women just looked at me and a man at the exit door inserted himself in our conversation, guessing he was a manager too as he was older said "you have to read the small print", he said this multiple times, as I replied or you could move it so it's not confusing to your customers, he was very rude and argumentative again or you should read the small print, I replied or you could move the items, the back in forth was something I have never experienced, since I was simply making a suggestion based on the experience I just had. Maybe it was a rough night or he is a miserable person, either way he was so out of line I had to write this review. Wish I got his name bc I would definitely be calling to talk to the store director! There is a Michaels across the street and too many other options with better costumer service than what I experienced last night. Or I will be going to the Buena Park location, it's bigger and hopefully know what customer service means, and don't antagonize customers on their way out of the store! read more

I'm pretty new to Hobby Lobby and crafting in general. I recently purchased a Cricut and can't stop making stuff since it's just so much fun. I went here to pick up some t-shirts to make a Halloween costume for family. I also picked up some cardstock paper to make a cake topper. Overall, they have nice stuff and when I went to Michael's right after, it seemed they had a lot more items than Michael's. I'm giving it lower stars because the customer service at this location wasn't great. When I asked the cashier if they had any v-neck t-shirts for women, she asked her manager nearby who was pretty rude. When I told her that I didn't see any when I was where she told me to look, she just rolled her eyes and said that they don't have any then. Anyway, I do like this store overall, but I wish their customer service was better. It seems to be a recurring issue that other Yelpers have noted. read more

At 12:00 on a Saturday there are massive empty shelfs tons of boxes, totes and carts on the floor. I even found a so up 7 foot or 8 foot ladder in the middle of an aisle opened up. Major safety hazard. There is a little customer service they are trying to stock and not looking it up at a very busy day and time. This is a time to build new customers. But, the very poor condition of the store and being the first time at hobby lobby. This will be the last. The place is real busy and the manager is pricing and buying out pez dispensers. There are 7 or 8 registers open and no management to help. They claim to be a Christian morals company. When did Christianity start teaching cheat thy customer. They give many discounts to lead customers to think they are getting great prices. Surprise. They jack there prices up. Then give you a discount. This is the same tactic Kohl's uses. My solution for this store coming from 35 years retail management. Fire the whole management team and story over. read more

Well, I'm happy I found what I needed after Amazon failed to deliver my package...and they had 30% off on the items I needed . So that's what's the two stars are for. On the flip side, no one smiles at this store, no one greets you, no one asks if your finding everything ok, no one says excuse me when they're walking in front of you. It's a weird vibe. And when I say "no one" I mean the employees, and the leads/management. I honestly would've avoided this store as I normally do if Michaels, Joann Fabrics,Party City, Walmart and Target had what I needed. This was a last resort. This is the second time with the same manager. I asked to see a manger scene because they had the isle shut off for stocking. He handed it to me and I told him the head was broke from one of the Kings men and the ear of the donkey was broke. He handed me the only other box and I told him "bummer this one has a broken head too". I thanked him and just as I turned back around I watched him put both back on the shelf neatly. There were two other employees with four baskets full of merchandise or trash. On the shelf is not where they belong. UPDATE: A day later I went in to return my purchase and Deno the manager was changing isle that help the nativity scene. My first time walking into this Hobby Lobby location and I have never actually heard of it or been in one until recently. It feels almost like a slightly updated Michaels store. It has plenty of arts and crafts item to choose from but they also sell semi furniture needs. The store looks bright and the lights are all on in each and every row. There are signs to sign up for their email notification and that is probably how you might be able to get coupons. If you want to find some cool things to knit or you have some art projects for the kids I think this is a pretty good place to come. If you can't find it here across the street is also an actual Michaels. Parking is plenty and the store itself is quite organized. Personally, though I didn't find what I was looking for. The moment we walked in a beautiful smell hit us. The establishment was very clean towards the back it did look like they were setting up to re-merchandise, but the freight that they had on the floor was well organized. I seen many workers working and assisting customers. They were very helpful and again it was very clean and we'll maintained . When I was leaving they had about three lines opened and the manager was in the front and they were maintaining the lines their services fast. Their customer service was amazing and as I was leaving, I heard the manager or supervisor advising their staff that they're doing a good job on maintaining there areas. This was a very good hobby lobby with a very good team which I believe has a very good leader. The person at our register. I believe his name was John he did a very good job as well and asked if we had found everything ok and if we needed anything and he just had amazing customer service. 10/10 I would most definitely be returning to this location. read more

I thought these were cute... but I won't be buying them. Today 5/16/2023 I went to Hobby Lobby (1351 W Imperial Highway La Habra 90631) since it was on the way while walking to nearest post office to mail some packages. I had my blue reusable shopping bag with me, and it had all my packages and outgoing mail in it. I decided to pop in real quick to look for items I didn't find at the Costa Mesa gem faire I went to last week. I took some pictures and got some ideas, and I found these variously sized little glass bottles in a package for 8.99 on the jewelry aisle. I walked around with them because I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy them or not. I only needed one, not several. I decided to leave them and put them back on another isle (which was my mistake, I should have put them back where I got them). I walked back up to the front of the store and when I got to the door, a woman about my same height (4'11) with dark brown/black hair, black pants, an either white or cream colored patterned shirt and wearing a gold name badge that said "RITA" with "assistant manager" under it) approached me from the side, got very close, and started to try to block my path. At first I was confused as to what was going on but she soon made her intentions clear. She asked me where the pack of bottles was! I was absolutely shocked. I told her I put them back, and she didn't believe me! She then insisted that I go show her where I put them. I refused, because I now was absolutely aware of what was going on. I started feeling really upset and wanted to get out of the situation ASAP because I knew I did nothing wrong. I described to her in detail where they were, on top of one of the open shipment boxes just a few aisles over on the floor. By this point all the workers and customers in the front were watching and listening, and I was feeling really embarrassed. She said okay and didn't even apologize, then she started to walk away. I turned away too, and then thought for 2 seconds to myself "what just happened to me right now wasn't okay" and I turned around to her and said, "Excuse me." She ignored me, so I said it again. I got her attention this time and I asked for her name and told her I was calling corporate regarding this because what she did wasn't right. She told me to go ahead and she pulled her shirt pocket down, showing me her tag. I feel and absolutely believe that this happened to me due to racial/stereotypical profiling. I am short, had my hair messy, sweats on, and I have a lot of piercings and tattoos. This is not the first time I have been followed or watched closely at Hobby Lobby but it's the first time something like this has ever happened to me in any retail store. When I was checking out at this location there was only one register open and a LONG line, but they had a handful of employees just standing around. When there's a huge line the decent thing to do is help the employee with the congestion. They also don't accept Apple Pay, which I had to run and get my cc but the guy made me wait again to check other people out first, even though I waited in the line already.
