Frankly, I was skeptical about how effective it would be. I called and inquired for more information. The front desk answered the phone, patiently answered all my questions, and made an appointment. At the initial consultation, The doctor explained that stroke treatments are most effective within a month of the onset. Since it's just a been little over a month for my mom, he thought we should start her treatments aggressively at the rate of 4 times per week. After 3 weeks, there were noticeable improvements in her memory and speech pattern. We continued treatments for my Mom's other health issues as well. One thing I should note is that the doctor is very focused and task oriented. You need to ask him your questions or let him know about your concerns, not just waiting for him to speak to you. You get asked a few questions about your energy and what you want to focus on and then for acupuncture, they'll check your energy levels. After inserting the needles in, they leave you to it. No music or meditation or chants. Just you, and the car horns outside. I think that's where I'm a little disappointed. Other places I've been either give you one of the two and check in on you. I was just sorta left for I'm assuming was 30 minutes? There's no clocks so I lost track of time. Next few times I came, I was prepared to do some meditation on my own and really focus on my thoughts, breathing and healing. I have pretty decent insurance and so it only came out to about 20 bucks per session and at that price, it goes from a 3 star review to a 4 star. But without that, I could easily rate this a 3 star place. I'll be coming back for sure though. Every where else seems to have a wait list or they aren't as nice. Everyone is super nice.
