Dr.Lu was the only one who could relieve some of my pregnancy sickness during the first 3 months. So happy to have found her. I had had some persistent upper back and neck pain for the last few months probably due to my accident last year. I tried traditional medicine and physical therapy to no avail. A friend recommended Dr. Pin Lu in Poway. She is a very nice and soft spoken doctor who specializes in non traditional methods to alleviate pain and other conditions. I have always been a little bit hesitant about Holistic medicines even though my family has always been proponets of Holistic Healthcare in some fashion or another, even to the point of being wierd sometimes, no dead chickens or anything like that. Her office in Poway has four nicely decorated seperate rooms all featuring her art work since she is also an artist. The lighting is soft and relaxing music in the background. Her office is extremely busy. So plan accordingly. Dr. Pin Lu's approach to my treatment for pain, was very aggressive. As I lay face down on a table with a face hole. I was pricked by multiple needles gently applied to my back and legs. She then attached electric clips to each needle and a heat lamp. I could feel the electric pulses and warmness engulf my entire back. My treatment lasted over an hour. She was treating me along with a few other clients. I have been to other acupuncturist at much lower rates but I truly feel she is the best in the business. My wife who came along was also impressed by her uncanny ability to diagnose us simply by talking with us and checking out our tongues. We were truly surprised by this and did not expected it. She also treats cosmetic issues on the face and weight loss of all things. I waited more than a week before I posted this and I feel pain free. I can heartily recommend Pin Lu for your treatment. I had tried acupuncture a few times before with limited relief and it had always been temporary. I don't know who told me about her but I'm so glad that they did. I had a hip muscle problem for years where after a short distance I would have to stop for the burning to go away. She worked her magic with the needles and the next day I woke up and it was gone, never bothered me again. I can't say enough great things about Dr Pin Lu and her team. I suffer from chronic back, knee, ankle, and neck pain. My sleep is all over the place. I've had nagging issues that continually flare up that massage, stretching, topical creams, and physical therapy have been unable to address. I've visited her office for 3 months straight and I've seen amazing improvement in my daily pains. Not just the "it feels good for an hour or two afterwards" relief but actual, sustained, relief that's continued between our weekly or semi-weekly sessions. She's very astute in finding and correcting areas of pain. I've referred a friend to her and we both had an experience where Dr Lu will assess and point to a muscle or specific area and say "that's where your pain is coming from" then work her magic and relief is given. My sleep inconsistencies have improved greatly. I track my HRV, sleep duration, and REM/nREM sleep cycles. Since seeing her for treatment I've added an additional hour of sleep each night and my REM sleep has increased an average of 18% . Additionally my HRV has improved 5-10 points. Place very clean. Dr. Lu did careful evaluation, diagnosed a few issues. Then proceeded to treat me. I am now pain free! One issue I had was making multiple restroom visits during the night disturbing my sleep. Dr. Lu put several fresh herbs together, creating prescription, ground them and carefully mixed making 10 days worth of tea bags. Now I sleep through entire night. I have more energy, memory improved, and even lost a little weight. I asked where she received her training, she said studied in China for many years to be certified, and worked in rehab hospital.
