It cost us 185$ to get a fancy dress shortened, sleeves added from material taken from the bottom and the shoulders raised up. The dress may have been worth that amount but this was also for a high school dance. I should have said no and walked oit. I think they getnyou to commit by doing all the measuring and pinning before they tell you the price. Reminder: this was a gifted dress but we were hoping to keep costs low. Ive told my daughter that she has to use this for at least 5 more occassions! Dont't be afraid to walk out after they do all the measuring, pinning and chalking for lengrh. Dispute the price if you can. But I recommend going somewhere else or finding a friend to help.

He also took off my $200 tag that I left on the dress on purpose, which I always keep when I spend that much money on a dress. When my sister went to pick up the dress for me, he shoved it in a small plastic bag and kept the nice hanger that I brought in with the dress. I wish I could give them less than one star because I am furious. Not to mention he was rude and unprofessional over the phone when I called ahead. He over charged me as well because I was in a rush. $50 for a small hem! Just the worst experience.

Came here on October 25th and dropped off one suit jacket. It was ready for pickup on November 30th. Not a great turnaround time. My suit jackets shoulder pads were protruding a bit. Most of the jacket fit decently, just the shoulders needed some adjustment. I tried it on when I dropped it off and the girl made some notes and felt she was clear on what was needed. She said they would need to order the shoulder pads and get them replaced. They said one week. I didn't hear anything for two weeks so I called them myself. The woman said they just ordered the shoulder pads and would take a week to get them and have them inserted. Okay...already a week overdue. 1.5 weeks go by so I called them again. No answer. I got a call back and someone said I'll need to try the jacket on before they do any work on it - 2 weeks overdue....and no call to reach out to me informing me of this information. I shouldn't have to keep calling for them to tell me they need more information - they have my telephone number. Eventually got my jacket back and fixed. Waiting over a month and no communication costed me $110. - 1 star for lack of communication - 1 star for being expensive and no discount given - 1 star for taking wayyyy too long to handle one jacket - 1 star for the overall inconvenience

My son was getting married and finding a dress was difficult. The color was never right. I finally…read morefound the right color and ordered it. When I finally received it they had sent a dress 4 sizes larger than what I ordered. I had no time to send it back for the right size so I would HAVE to have it altered. It is a floor length satin dress and the first 2 places I called said they had no time and that June is wedding season so I probably wouldn't find anywhere that could do it. That is when a friend recommend Carmen, I went and she said she could do it. The time came and it was cut close but she did an amazing job. She had to bring in the sides top to bottom and the pleated waist and bloused cowl neck need shortened and narrowed. The corset back had to be lifted since waist was shortened. She moved up the bottom loops to the top to allow the corsett to tie down the entire back. I was very pleased with the outcome and was complemented all night on how well the dress looked on me. They create miracles!!! Thank you and you will ALWAYS be where I go for my alt ration needs. Ill be sure to add photos when I get them.

Picked the place based on positive reviews - what a mistake. Instead of dry cleaning it - this is what I paid over $30 for, the jacket was washed in some harsh detergent. The jackets color has faded; it is shedding feathers now - these what washing down jackets in detergent does; and it has 4 holes in the front now from tumbling in the dryer for hours. I would be better off washing it myself in the special down cleaner for free; jacket has a distinct food smell - this is not how clean clothes smells. They did it" - this is the response I got from the woman who runs the place - who is THEY? I wonder if any dry cleaning takes place there. The woman claims her "dry cleaning" is done on premises - I did not see anyone working there. However there was another customer there at the time whose cashmere sweater was ruined - I assume it was washed instead of dry cleaned. How is this shop allowed to operate? There should be legal action taken to stop the fraud and abuse of customers.

I was distressed because I tried hand washing (and laundry washing) my specific garment at home by myself, only to find that odd pink stains and a certain smell came about by doing so. I went to Alpine Dry Cleaners looking for a solution and they fixed my jacket and it came back softer/puffier than its original form! Awesome! . Only thing is, I felt it was a bit pricier than normal, but overall, they did an excellent job, so I'm satisfied!

I brought in a cycling jersey to have a small hole in the pocket sewn up -- a simple job. What they…read moredid was anything but. They ran it through a sewing machine for a few seconds, sewed part of the pocket shut, and charged me $15 for the privilege of ruining it. When I raised this with the owner, she claimed they would need to disassemble the entire pocket just to repair a small hole. I asked if anyone there knew how to use a needle and thread. She shrugged and said, "It's $15." No apology, no offer to correct the mistake. Now I have to take the jersey somewhere else to have the job done properly. Whether this was incompetence or simply a lack of care, the result is the same -- I won't be returning.

When I told her I wanted a slit, she pinned it conservatively so she wouldn't make it too high, then had me come back to try it out and we decided to make the slit go higher. She also educated me on the different bustle types and gave me great recommendations for everything. It was all done by the 3rd visit and the turn-around times were only days apart! The pricing was totally reasonable too. I was really nervous about finding someone I could trust with a very special task and I highly recommend. She's knowledgeable, talented, and sweet! After I checked the dress off my list, it stayed in the garment bag and I didn't look at it for a while until 2 weeks before the wedding and noticed it looked super dirty, so I was calling dry cleaners to see how fast they could clean a wedding dress and stressing out, but then I finally just used a lint roller...the dress had picked up a lot of fuzzies and some dog hair from being dragged on the floor, but it all came off! Just had a mini heart attack, so my suggestion is to lint roll the dress at the end :p
