The planning process from 2,000 miles away was definitely more than I originally anticipated when I decided to get married in Lake Tahoe. From the moment I first interacted with Lea she made it clear that I could have one less thing to worry about with regards to my hair & makeup. Not only did she listen intently, she gave me honest feedback and was able to reassure me in that planning process. Her personality is so bubbly and calming and you can tell that she is a genuinely happy person who loves making people feel beautiful. I ended up texting her ONE day before that my flower girls had changed their mind and now really wanted their hair done. No problem for Lea- not only did she accommodate this request last minute, but she handled their individual requests with such care that they and their mamma were all thrilled with the results. On my wedding day it rained off and on the ENTIRE day, and during the ceremony it literally started dumping and took me a couple minutes to secure an umbrella. Despite the weather, and my being outside for probably a total of 6 hours that day, my hair and makeup held flawlessly. I really don't remember giving her any directions for my make up other than "natural glam" and I have never ever in my entire life felt so beautiful. It was me- 100% - with an elegant touch. I can't really say enough. Weddings are emotional always, and my own personal journey was full of SO many feelings and Lea handled us all with such care and grace and really pulled it off. I have never felt so beautiful and am truly amazed that someone who was a "stranger" to me before hand was able to execute EXACTLY what was in my head. I really loved every moment!

Not only are Jill and Jessie super gorgeous, but they're friendly and they really know how to make women beautiful. I hired Jill because she does airbrushing, which I loved because it was lightweight but lasted all day. Seriously my makeup was good from 10am to 12am even in the hot Sacramento summer heat. All my girls looked great and my moms loved their makeup too. What I love about Beauty Box is their makeup is flawless and leans towards natural. Not that they are opposed to dramatic. I'm sure they do dramatic great as well but their natural look is glamorous and clean. On the day of my wedding they came in early and worked with every girl for about 45 minutes, including eyelashes. They worked well with my girls and everyone looked so beautiful! I know skincare and hair/makeup artists seem expensive, and you may go back and forth on whether it's worth the price or not... but you get what you pay for and I'll tell you that it's worth it! Michele was on our vendor list and when I saw that she specialized in both hair and makeup AND esthetics, I immediately picked up the phone. Michele did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower as a "trial" and while I looked and felt gorgeous, there were a few things I wanted to tweak for the wedding. Having done many weddings before mine, she did tell me that I'd probably want to have some fake lashes just so they'd show up in my professional photos. We found a happy medium and I'm so happy that I trusted her with that! Michele is incredibly talented and will make you feel so comfortable and BEAUTIFUL on your big day! One of my biggest fears when I was first searching for a makeup artist was that I wasn't going to recognize myself in pictures or look like me. Michele made sure that didn't happen! When my brother first saw me, he cried and told me that he was so happy that I still looked like myself, which was so sweet! She was very professional throughout the entire process - from my initial inquiry all the way through the actual make-up application. I had sent her an inspiration photo prior to our appointment and she nailed the look I was going for. Her studio, make-up and tools were all very clean and of high quality.
