My friends and I (all from North Naples) finally got to Michoacána Ice Cream and it was great. First time there and it was lovely (not like some reviewers who said otherwise). I loved the chocolate coconut. It had big chunks of chocolate and chewy toasted coconut for texture. It was delicious. My friends both had plain coconut and raved. The scoops were very large. COVID masks were worn by all staff and customers at the counter. The staff was helpful and nice. They had a whole bunch of interesting home made flavors and also had a huge amount of home made and generous sized ice pops. If you're like me and you like a flavor to be meaty with a filling this is the place. I had the Chocolate Con Coco and the Piñon. Both were delicious and delectable. If I were to guess I would think all of their other flavors were made with the same pride. They speak Spanish and English. Their flavors were also in Spanish and English. The 2 workers present were both attentive and working hard. Definitely has to be by far one of the best ice cream places I've been to. The rocky road didn't even resemble rocky road at all and I'm pretty sure there was a piece or 2 of cardboard in it. We all threw away our ice cream after 2 bites. I was in the mood for ice cream, so I asked my dad whether he wanted to stop at Culver's or a little Mexican ice cream place down the road. He chose Culver's. I told him that he made the wrong choice and made the executive decision as driver and food shepherd to try this little spot. We were not disappointed. I got three scoops because everything looked so good, and I wanted to get the full experience. I tried cookie dough, chocolate coconut, and cookies n' cream. The woman behind the counter giggled a little bit at my trio of chocolate and cookie-based choices. All were noticeably homemade, fresh, and delicious. We were definitely the only gringos in this place but don't let that discourage you. Most items are translated into English. This is the best ice cream that I have had in Naples. The coconut, mango, and mamey are my favorites. I think everything is made on site.

The taste and selection of flavors of ice cream was pretty good (hence the 2 stars), but the service was subpar and bordered on offensive, atmosphere was jarring with tv's blaring. Service: We were second in line waiting to order. The guy behind the counter finished with the first order in front of us as a woman and her son walked in. He immediately asked them what they wanted. It was pretty obvious we had been standing there waiting to order, especially since we were the only other people in the store. But no worries, maybe he got confused. As he filled this second order in front of us, another customer walked in. The guy behind the counter immediately asked her what she wanted in spanish, skipping over us AGAIN. The new customer pointed at us and said, we were there first. Guy behind the counter, (again in spanish) "are you sure?" Ridiculous. read more

I was a little nervous at first as everything is in Spanish, but there is an English translation for most everything so I felt I could figure it out. After trying just a couple of the most delicious homemade ice cream flavors on earth, I was able to commit to the three scoop sundae. Seriously the freshest, most delicious , unique flavors . I took my two grandsons, ages 4 and 6, out for ice cream tonight, and decided to go to this little new ice cream shoppe located on E. Tamiami Trail, almost to 951....on the right side of the street in a little strip mall. The manager/owner assisted us, and he was so kind with two little boys who had difficulty making up their minds. In the end they got bubble gum, but didn't like it, so one took my Mango gelato (which was wonderful and he ate every bit of it!). I told the owner we needed two new dishes because the bubble gum wasn't a hit, and I was happy to pay for them... But he insisted he would not take my money. I ended up with strawberries and cream which was great, and my other grandson had vanilla with M&m's which he thought was great. It's a small little place, but management is very nice, and i would definitely go back because he was so kind, and because the ice cream was terrific! I forgot to ask for a little taste of the bubble gum before I ordered it, but he was most kind to exchange at no additional cost. I'll be going back! Thank you Michoacana! read more

What a terrible experience! Went in spent 11 dollars on two ice creams. My 4 year old son repeatedly said he wanted sprinkles and the worker had already packed up the sprinkles and told him there wasn't any. It was 30 minutes before closing time. but that is no excuse you should get full service until closing. Not to mention trying to swat away all the fruit flys while eating . read more

We had the strawberries & cream and coco & chocolate. Amazing. You can tell it was homemade. We also sampled the horchata (delicious!) and left with a cup of strawberry milk.
