Expert techs use a popsicle stick to apply a little wax. There's a little yank, and--VOILA!--the eagles go find new housing. I had booked a French pedicure with Summer and instead today I received pink, thick and messy paint on my toes( see photo). She was unable to properly cut my toe nails or remove cuticle ("we don't do that here"), and didn't remove dead skin from feet and left the end of the large toenails rough. She also didn't know how to put white on tips (which would never have worked over the thick paint anyway). It took 40 minutes including some soaking time at the beginning. Cost was $35 without a tip. Entire waste of my time. Now, I have to go get another pedicure elsewhere today. People were nice... just not qualified for doing pedicures. Please stick to hair services or learn proper pedicure processes.
