Toontown is always very hectic, as is most of the park, but it's very cute. Lots to see, lots of characters to meet and greet, and an adorable playground with a rainbow slide! Theres also a fountain that I see kiddos playing in which always grosses me out but I guess fun is fun! read more

I love Mickey's Toontown! It's bright and colorful and really feels like you've been transported to Mickey and friend's home. It is a themed land inside Disneyland located in the back corner next to It's a Small World that is obviously geared towards the younger crowd, but I enjoy visiting the area and riding Roger Rabbit and Mickey and Minnie's new ride. They have lots of space for kids to run around and expel energy while being away from the bigger crowds. There are lots of photo ops and hidden fun here as well! They offer a couple food and drink Kiosks as well as another new ride that is centered around Chip and Dale! read more

This is on behalf of my grandsons, who just love Mickey's Toontown. This is where the fun happens when you meet the real life characters from Disney cartoons and stories. The playing areas are designed for pre-school and kindergarten age kids and allows them to climb, jump and slide safely. This is where you take your family photos, and learn what your children appreciate about Disneyland. I'm going to be straightforward. I don't like Toontown. It's my least favorite part of Disneyland. I get that this is an area that is built for kids. And their revamp of it a few years ago really upped that aspect. And the new Mickey ride is enjoyable. But, it's the location of the area that is the downfall of it in my opinion. It is shoved in the back of the park almost like an afterthought. It also only has one in and out so it is a nightmare to navigate. It's just a constant see of people with massive strollers, kids running around, waiting for food/the restrooms, whatever. If you're a kid, this place is great. But as an adult/parent, it's just a frustration point. I really think all they need is to add another entrance/exit point. Maybe find a way to put one in on the back by Gadget Coaster or something that dumps you out by the now unused outdoor stage area. Anything to help let the foot traffic flow. Disneyland is so good at that until you come to this land. It's really surprising to me. I will say that the atmosphere here today is really well done. It does feel like you're walking through the world of Mickey. A+ for theming. If you're able to come here when it's not crowded, it's really nice to check out. Especially at night. However, I feel like most of the time you'll be walking through this area spending more time trying to make sure you don't get hit by a stroller or something else than being able to look around and take everything in. read more

Having visited Toontown for decades it nice to see how it's been reimagined and updated with the times while still keeping it's original integrity to respect it's history. The space is well thought out and very colorful. Several eateries, a post office and an open space for kids to roam. Specifically catered to the toddlers, the smaller rides are just enough of fun to keep the kids smiling. Located near the back of the resort, it's ideal for families with young children. With several designated stroller parking areas, it's well kept and organized. The roller coaster and railway are the best attractions in this end. Wait times are short which makes these rides worth visiting. I'll be back for sure as my kids are younger and are now finally able to move around on their own. Mickey's Toontown is located in Disneyland. My husband and I finally had a chance to see the reimagined Mickey's Toontown during our latest visit at Disneyland for the Halloween half marathon! There are a lot of rides and activities in ToonTown. You can get to ToonTown from Fantasyland, next to the It's a Small World Ride, or you can take the train ride up to ToonTown! The rides at Mickey's Toontown includes the following My favorite - Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway: You get to jump on a runaway train with Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie. There is a pre-show before the ride! Lightning lane is included for this ride. Chip 'N' Dale's GADGETcoaster: Small rollercoaster located in Toontown. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin: You'll go on an adventure with Roger Rabbit. It's a dark ride, where you can spin your ride 360! It's a lot of fun! Lightning lane is included. There are plenty of play areas in Toontown! Mickey's House and Meet Mickey: You can do a self-guided tour of Mickey Mouses' house. Minnie's House: Another self-guided tour of Minnie's house. Donald's Duck Pond: Splash pad area!!! Goofy's How-To-Play Yard: Outside playground area! Disney did an amazing job redesigning Mickey's Toontown! Such a cute little town and with the new refurbishments it really makes this place shine. Every kid knows this town in Disneyland. Its where they have Mickey and Minnie's house. You can make line to meet them and explore their houses. Other characters also walk around this area so you never know which one of Mickeys friends you will see. There are a few snacks stands and a few other play areas for the kids to burn off all that energy. With the new refurbishments they really made this place shine. It just so vibrant and really just brightens your day. Really makes you feel like you are transported to Toontown. With the refurbishments came Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. I will write a separate review for that ride but its a really fun and cute ride and was a perfect addition to this area. This is a great place to bring the kids or even without kids you will have a fun time exploring and taking some cute pictures. read more

This goofy little town at Disneyland makes you feel like you are in a cartoon. Even though it is mostly geared toward kids, adults can find some fun here too. Mickey's Toontown is inspired by the "Toontown" that was featured in the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" movie. In the movie, Bob Hoskins' character enters Toontown and interacts with several cartoon characters. Here at Mickey's Toontown, you can do the same. Mickey and Minnie both have cartoonish style homes that you can enter and have a meet and greet with them. There are also places for Donald and Goofy that are fun and interactive. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway are the main rides inside of Mickey's Toontown. There is also a small roller coaster for kids. This is a fun place for parents to take a break and let the kids run around and have some fun. There are a number of places to grab lunch or a snack if you are hungry. ToonTown has always been my favorite part of the park to visit, no matter which location I am in. I like the connection I have with the characters and how everything is always cartoonish. It gives me an escape with a connection, even if it isn't real. I'm not sure how they do it, but they make it seem so real and integrated. Like you may have actually stepped into a world where toons interact with humans, along the lines of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The one thing that I like to do in this area is explore. Some of the bright colors may have faded, but the fun is still there. Going through Mickey and Minnie's homes was especially a highlight of this area. I loved the imagery of the rooms. From a telephone simple sitting there to the washing machine left on a cycle. Only downside here, was the meet an greet areas. It felt like this was a chock hold point. A place where, if you have the time, is a place to waste the time. Totally not a thing for me. In fact, I don't think I interacted with a character outside of them walking through the park to or from their posts. read more

Finally was able to visit ( find an excuse to come lol, for my son's bday) of course only came to toon town for this ride. Otherwise way too busy for me.... But very fun for people with smaller children, this would be a blast. My goodness the ride in my opinion was excellent soo fun. 4 stars The new ToonTown definitely looks new and just as cute as I remember it being. However, it is extremely crowded. So, so, so many kids and parents. The "park" is filled with strollers. And I don't stay long because it does seem more for toddlers and young kids. And I just feel like I'm taking up their space. One of the best things I've seen while I was there were all the characters that were in ToonTown. I saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Chip & Dale, and Pete. They were all out at the same time on a Saturday afternoon. It's nice to get a glimpse of all the characters catering to the crowd. Highly recommend to those with kids, but would warn that there occasional impatient parents and that mobile orders for Cafe Daisy can get a backed up. read more

ToonTown has had some changes since it originally opened. While the Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin ride is still there, ToonTown is really more the home of Mickey and Friends. Both Mickey and Minnie's homes may be found here. ToonTown is all child friendly attractions. One of their newest rides is Mickey's Runaway Railway. There is a kid's roller-coaster. There is a play structure. ToonTown is filled with fun building that makes for cute photos for kids and kids at heart. The store in ToonTown has lots of Mickey and Friends merchandise. Quick service food options are available. There is a water bottle filling station near the bathrooms. read more

I didn't get to spend as much time in Mickey's Toontown as I would have wanted but was there to get a good look at part of it and of course ride Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway-(reviewed separately). The Disneyland RR stops here along with a ride for Roger Rabbit and it is a charming area designed for children with an adorable Mickey and Minnie fountain right in the town square. This is definitely the children's area of the park and families can spend a good deal of time here with their little ones. There's a popcorn store, Minnie's house, Donald's boat, and Goofy's playhouse to name a few. The place is extemely sunny and not too much shade there. Even Walt Disney gets a place of honor as you leave Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad. If you are not with small kids I'd advise you the visit the featured ride and then leave. Still is it a delightful place that brings out the child in you. read more

If my one-year-old could talk, I think he'd say Mickey's ToonTown was his favorite part of Disneyland. If he wanted to get more specific, he might name a particular set of short steps between the ground level and Goofy's Playhouse, where he spent quite a lot of time climbing up and down, getting his hands all over what could not have been a very clean banister. We have yet to explore all that ToonTown has to offer, but I appreciate its function as a hassle-free park within Disneyland, a valuable resource if you're visiting with small children. I remember enjoying the exaggerated aesthetic when I was little, and it looks better than ever after a major renovation. I'm sure it's a great place to take pictures if your kids will stand still and pose. Ours are small and squirmy, so we're just happy to have a safe enclosed area where they can run around, enjoying a squeaky bridge or colorful funhouse, looking cute as they roll through a series of cartoony installations. I'm sure we'll take advantage of the character encounters and other attractions as they grow older, but for now, I like that ToonTown is a place where you can kind of hang out and not do much at all. read more

As an adult, I don't visit Mickey's ToonTown that much- just to be candid. I did, however, enjoy Mickey's ToonTown as a kid and teenager. It was lots of fun to walk around and pretend to be in jail hahahaha I do appreciate the many photo opportunities that Mickey's ToonTown offers. The Rogert Rabbit ride is fun. I mean, it's a "kid ride" so don't expect it to knock your socks off or anything. You will be spun around a lot, so probably best not to eat or drink (especially alcohol) right before lol Or do it and see what happens lol You may just have a stronger stomach. The only reason I would visit Mickey's ToonTown again is for nostalgic reasons. But if I had kids of my own, I'm sure I would take them to this area. Also a perk, you will see Goofy and Mickey walking around here if you are lucky! :) read more

Recently visited the newly remodeled ToonTown! It was insanely packed, even for a Thursday evening. There were a lot of kids running around and just having a great time. We love the addition of the fountain and the ambiance of ToonTown. You truly feel like a kid all over again. We really enjoyed Mickey's house and Goofy's house. Their houses were especially interactive and just great for all ages. We're just happy to see ToonTown thriving with all of the new additions and can't wait to come back again to take photos with Mickey and his friends! read more

I used to occasionally visit this area for the Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin ride, but I recently returned to check out the west coast version of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway ride. Everything is very cartoony here which sets it apart from the other lands within Disneyland. So if you've brought the little ones, be sure to check it out! read more

ToonTown is a smaller area that's great for kids to run around and parents to relax and sit down. It's located towards the back of the park past Small World and to the left. You can also access Toon Town via train since there is a stop there. I would say Toon Town is great for photo ops and reliving your Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Daisy cartoon dream. There are a few rides but it's along the lines of Storybook land in that they're short and not really full of thrills. It can get crowded but it doesn't seem to be as much traffic as Adventureland, Fronteirland, Tomorrowland and Galaxy's Edge. read more

I honestly spend very little time in ToonTown beyond making a round if I'm pin trading or taking photos. It's adorable and cute, but was designed with much smaller crowds in mind, so it's enjoyed much more for the artistic value if the area is less busy. I personally think it needs a re-vamp. There's a lot of space here devoted to photos and characters and I think ToonTown would become more popular with a few rides or stores added in. It would also likely take some of the pressure off the more interesting/busier areas like Tomorrowland and Main Street. All in all not a bad stop, but is mostly intended for those age 10 and under. read more

ToonTown is the little forgotten land of Disneyland. Well maybe not as much as Critter Country, but toontown is severely underrated. Maybe because it is all the way at the back of the park and barely has any big kid/adult rides. However, it is a great photo spot with all the characters' houses (mickey, minnie, goofy, and donald's boat). You can go through the houses and explore and at the end of Mickey's house, you can meet the big mouse himself. There are also great photo opportunities by the Firehouse, Post office, gym and a jail where you can get some great pictures. There are also a few other attractions in toontown: one is Roger Rabbit's car toon spin (which has fast pass available), the small kiddie roller coaster, and Chip and Dale's treehouse which is a small climb up and then there is a staircase down. I love exploring ToonTown especially at Christmas when they have the Christmas decorations up. Be sure to come early because then do close Toontown early to set up for the fireworks show! read more

Nice layout in Disneyland. Went here more than once and kept forgetting to write an official review. This is a kiddie area in the Disneyland portion of the park. Modeled largely after some old classic cartoons and the Who Framed Roger Rabbit movie, the layout is very nice and most will enjoy it, especially the kids. Plenty of areas to take pictures for sure. There are several areas for character meet and greets and there are a few rides, including the Roger Rabbit Ride and the Gadget Coaster. A lot of areas are interactive for the children and there's plenty of things to see. Toontown does close a little earlier than the rest of the park, so be advised. Worth it for sure even to just walk around. read more

Oh ToonTown how I love you! You have Mickeys House, Minnies, House, Goofy... Chip and Dale... so much fun! There are some cute little fun rides over here as well, but there are SO many photo opportunities. Im not sure if people realize that. The Roger Rabbit ride is cool - but I like to go alone so no one spins me, lol If you take your time and walk around and look at everything you can really get some cute and fun pictures with your kids, or just as an adult. ToonTown opens an hour after the park, and if you go right as they open, its generally not crowded and you can click that camera away to your hearts content! And the wait is usually around 10 minutes for Minnies House and Mickeys House, which is incredibly amazing! Chip and Dales Treehouse is definitely for children. You walk up some narrow steps and back down. I did it once, and that was enough for a lifetime, haha! Im sure kids love it! read more
