First time trying Mick's Cafe. Small cafe with big personality and perfectly seasoned food. A must stop for a quick lunch.

One of my favorite lunch spots in town. Great food options- all I have tried have been good. Casual atmosphere with friendly people.

The wife took me here twice for lunch, very small and cozy, like eating at a bed and breakfast, friendly and great tasting

I had my dog with me so I sat outside by the street, but still received amazing service. My waiter, Logan, was very attentive and was always one step ahead of me if I needed something. I had a cup of the gumbo and a beer for starters. The gumbo was perfectly seasoned and delicious and the beer was ice cold. After that, I ordered the red beans and rice, but by the time I finished the gumbo and my beer, I was pretty full. I did try the red beans and rice and it was very good. I can't wait to have it tomorrow. All in all a very good experience. I'm looking forward to going back.

On Yelp we located this place and thought crawfish sounded great! The problem.....once we arrived we found out they only serve crawfish Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We arrived on Sunday so we missed out. We tried the boudin balls, fried pickles and grilled gumbo salad. The food was fine - fried pickles salty and hot, boudin balls had a more liver taste than we have had in Louisiana but still tasty and the salad was good but pretty basic - romaine with a few tomato wedges, fried okra and grilled shrimp and tiny crawfish tails. All cooked perfectly. The house wine was awful. I would suggest they step it up a notch! Good News - they have a large outdoor seating area and are DOG FRIENDLY.

Shrimp and grits were very flavorful, quite good, and the beer was cold just like it should be. My husband loved his iced tea and dinner. His dinner disappeared so fast I don't remember what he ordered, it was that good. The real standout here was the service. I wish I'd gotten her name so I could call her out publicly - we asked to be seated in the bar area to be in the window and to be warm in the sun, and that was just perfect. Our server was taking care of all the tables on the bar side of the restaurant. She was seating people. She also was re-setting tables and manning the bar somehow. Brilliantly, professionally, and cheerfully. She was probably doing even more behind the scenes, like a superwoman.
