I have to give credit where credit is due. I have to be honest here, I usually detest going into this store and try to buy as much as I can online. Mostly because of their checkout line/process. That being said, every once in a while they have a deal that is too good to pass up. I ordered an Lenovo X1 Carbon refurbished laptop last week, and it was the last one in stock so I made sure to check it over before I took it home. It booted it up and it ran fine, but the mouse was a bit jumpy and there were some bad pixels in the upper corner. I was actually OK with it until it started to spread as I used it more. I brought it back a week later, no box (housemate probably threw it out) and couldn't find my receipt (they were able to look it up) and they took it back no questions asked. They gave me store credit, but that's fine I needed a laptop so I applied that towards a new one, actually, and couldn't be happier. Thanks for being reasonable, love the new laptop. read more

Micro Center - Computers Near Me - Sharonville, Ohio

This was a strange experience. My previous visits to a Micro Center store were at the Radnor, PA location in an upscale neighbourhood. This location next to I-275 hardly qualifies. (Since it's in "Micro Center Mall", go furthest away from Mosteller Road to their parking lot.) Inside the store, I could see a one-on-one relationship. There was no neat, tidy store I expected with a few big name machines ready to go, a few printers and displays, and some ink. It looked like Newegg exploded in this Micro Center store. There were parts upon parts upon parts, jammed into every crevice that they could find. They did have ready-made, big name machines but getting to them meant seeing almost everything else in the flea market-like section. When Tiger bought some of the CompUSA stores, they re-emerged as do-it-yourself type stores with a few ready-made Systemax boxes but it was all tidy. I haven't decided whether I want to praise it or condemn it--it's a unique solution--and I wonder if the company went to this format in every location. There were plenty of people working there to help you, if you had a question, and they seemed genuinely interested, although not exuberant. I'd guess that they're all tired because, like Aldi employees, they seem to have multiple jobs. That's such a change from the store I knew. So, if you saw it on Newegg and you need it today, pick up and go because you'll likely get it here, whether it's a powerful power supply, a motherboard, a home theater system, a keyboard and mouse, or even disc sleeves. This was my first visit to the Cinci Micro Center. It did not disappoint. They were fully stocked back to pre-pandemic times. A whole isle FULL of GPU's . The employees were friendly... and fully staffed!! It's so nice to see things in person instead of online only. I was checking out all the Glorious Keyboard goodies. I could have walked around for hours, but my kiddo was getting impatient. Can't wait for our next visit to Cinci to stop by again. read more

Great place to come if you have any technical issues or are looking for something new. My boyfriend bought all my computer parts here and built a PC for me (micro center has a service and they can build them for you if you choose that route!). After about a year I started having issues with my PC and we took it in to get serviced, it took about a week but they came up with a resolution to a weird and difficult motherboard issue as quickly as possible. We always enjoy coming in and checking out what's new or on sale. The staff are all friendly and helpful every time! read more

I've forgotten we have such a large non franchise computer and electronics store in the area. Every time I visit, I can purchase what I came in for. If I didn't find the exact part I found online elsewhere, I find something even better that simplifies the work needing to be done. The store is mostly organized with some smaller items that really no longer require a permanent shelf and have been moved into bins. Computers, speakers, typical cables, console management cables, network cabling accessories, security cameras, they have it. I recommend checking them out for all your computer needs. read more

My rating for Micro Center is predicated on MC being able to do a lot better in terms of sales associate training and also customer friendly policies such as pricing. First, the sales associates. The sales people basically push boxes. Research your stuff before shopping here! I shopped for a new internet router here and the sales guy, a typical young guy in the role, is pushing boxes at me based solely on the price range I quoted. I asked him "ok, does every router sold now do IPV6?" (This is a BASIC internet technology question.) He looked like a deer in the headlights. Check out prices too. Not everything here is discounted or a good deal. I bought a couple of webcams here for $35 each, allegedly discounted. Immediately afterward I saw an offer direct from the manufacturer for $5 less for the same devices. (They WILL meet online prices, however - you can just show them your phone.) Lastly, they can be sloppy/inattentive. We purchased a refurbished desktop PC here last year. When I got it home and started Windows, the system info reported a 250GB drive - the system was supposed to have 1 TB - and 4, not 8 GB as specified. I had to waste a couple of hours driving down to Micro Center to exchange it. They acted real skeptical when I brought it in like I didn't know what I was talking about. The store manager refunded $20 of the system price for the inconvenience. The experience got under my skin a bit. But, Micro Center is the only game in town. I'd put the vibe as kind of a high tech Menard's. Huge and impersonal but they do stock "everything" and generally better prices and MUCH more selection in things like basic components than Best Buy. Check prices and check your product specs on your own, though... using a smart phone to research items while you shop here is a "must". read more

Never buy an open box computer from here or trust that anyone in the store knows what they are talking about. Purchased open box Dell and the computer was locking up. Bought some RAM to upgrade and 3 people in the store advised it would work for the computer and it did not. I chatted with their tech support and they advised the RAM was not compatible. End of the story was I tried to fix a computer they should not have sold to begin with. So many hours of wasted time on this experience. They asked me to send a review and I rated them a 0 and no one even acknowledged me. I simply went to get a computer for school, I couldn't find what I needed. Thats understandable, but no one helped me they were all in groups with each other just talking about computer stuff and was no help. Eventually someone's helped me while I was looking at MacBooks, I told him what I was looking for in Best Buy and seeing if there were products like that here all he's said to me was that what I was looking at was not Apple. Which I already knew I was simply asking if there were similar versions of it. In a nutshell, no one there was helpful and they all made me feel stupid. I was really happy with the experience I had with one employee in particular Geoff in the service center. I feel he needs to be recognized for going above and beyond in helping me with my hard drive comp crash situation a week ago. We love Micro Center. They have a great variety of techy things. They offer products geared towards Mac and PC (perfect for our split house! I'm team Mac. Hubby is team PC). They also have a great section for coding. We love to work with Raspberry Pi and are always excited to see what we can find. Sales guys lie about warranty repairs! When I bought a laptop there, a sales guy steered me to a more expensive brand (Maingear) because repairs could be done quickly in the store if needed. When my laptop needed repairs, it turned out that the store does not repair Maingear laptops at all and the sales guy was just lying. Avoid at all costs for big stuff. You can probably find small stuff cheaper elsewhere. Edit: The store owner mentioned that they can "partner with Maingear to service laptops purchased through us." For clarity, what he means there is "You can drive all the way back to our store and watch us mail your laptop to the manufacturer." read more

This place has gained stars in my book. The first few times I came here, I was impressed by the selection and everything they had... the prices were good too. However, the service was horrible. If you had a question, good luck finding someone to answer it. I even got online and took a survey and let them know they seriously needed more staff. Maybe my request was granted. I went there the other day with my mom and we had literally 5 different people help us. The manager even asked how are experience was on the way out of the store. I love this place! Whenever we need a new video card (or need to get something for our website's server) this is where we go! Why? Because they have EVERYTHING a true techie needs! We got a nice video card for our computer here a couple of weeks ago and it works great on the highest graphic settings! It was under $150 so that was the best part about it! The guys here always seem to know what they are talking about but today was one of those rare days in which we got a guy who didn't even know what a sonic wall was. That... was kind of off putting. I mean... it's a sonic wall... how do you work at a computer store and not know what that is? Anyways, if you're not a techie than I do recommend you come here and the majority of the employee's will help guide you in the right direction, BUT do not come in here thinking that you'll spend less than $100 because the majority of the time you won't. read more

I don't know why I even still go here. The only help I get here is from the cashier and that's because I got the item myself. The sales people need to learn to disengage from conversations with customers that are just there to browse or ask a simple question. They also need to learn to contact multiple times. I'm sure they're on commission but seems like they don't want to hustle and make money its like they want the customer to go to them to start a sale. I don't go to place to look and waste time, thats what the internet is for. I go to a place to buy and walk out with something. I went there today to buy a high end GPU and I left. I was stading in front of the GPU case for at least 45 min and was never contacted. I might go back to buy because I do like the store or might just buy it off Newegg to avoid dealing with sales people there. read more

Two things: One- they have a sign for wearing masks but aren't enforcing it in the store. Just a heads up for people who may have family members at risk. Two - I was asked by 6 people in less than 10 minutes if I needed anything IN THE SAME DEPARTMENT. I was checking out laptops and just doing some comparisons. Despite the fact that all the employees were congregated together, every single one interrupted me despite being able to see that I'd been helped. They were very helpful in helping me troubleshoot my computer's problem and were able to make the necessary upgrades in a couple hours. They have many tech products not just computers. I frequently shop at Micro Center in Cincinnati or maybe I should say I used to shop a lot at Micro Center in Cincinnati. Today I drove 25 miles to purchase a new basic computer for my house. While at Micro Center my son also wanted a new one so we picked an HP for $329 and the salesperson told me it's one per customer Each of us would have to purchase one. Took them up front and they scanned them quickly ask for my credit card. I said wait a minute what was the price on those. The one was $329 the other $419. I explained they could adjust the price, ring them up separately one for each of us but I wasn't paying $100 premium. Shayne (Front Desk Manager) came over said that is the price. I said ring them up and I'll purchase one and my son will purchase one. He refused, not only wouldn't he ring them up separate, he refused to sell even one. Shayne your an Idiot. So the staff here are amazing. They will truly do anything they can to find what you need. If you know what you want, they will find it for you. If you have a problem but don't know the solution, they will provide solutions, likely multiple in varying price points. Their prices are very reasonable, overall. This review is for their service. I took my computer in to have a drive installed and the information from the old drive, moved to the new one. I was quoted 1-2 days and charged $150 for this. No big deal. Second day comes around and I haven't heard anything. 3rd day comes around and I call around lunch time asking for updates and they hadn't even started it, said they would start it today and contact me around 6-7pm when its done. Never contacted me. I called on the 4th day curious as to what is going on, and my computer had been finished, but they never reached out to tell me or anything. I go in and they charge me another 100 for the install of the new drive. So they can't ring up customers correctly, aren't punctual about their time quotes, and won't contact you when the service is competed, it's up to you the customer to call daily for updates after being told you'll be contacted with updates. read more

Finding someone who is knowledgeable can be hit or miss.. but I've got a guy who I specifically look for now who's been able to answer all my questions completely and honestly (IE: No bull****ing to make a sale). They do offer online ordering and delivery, but if you need something RIGHT NOW, as is usually the case when I go there, it's quicker to just take the hour and a half drive. read more

The manager named Zach at the Mosteller Rd location in Cincinnati, Ohio was rude and egotistical. I had a couple items I purchased before I went on orders last year that I needed to return. I was out of town on military leave on long term orders so I understood when he said it had been too long to return the items. However, he pulled up my account and saw that I had purchased the items free and clear. They were unopened even in the original micro center packaging. It was maybe a total of $40. He lied to me and said the two items were no longer in there inventory. I walked right to the aisle and snapped photos of both the items hanging on the shelf. He never even looked at my items or my photos. Just the length of time it had been and refused to help me. I had a brand new laptop on reserve with them and I was standing there to pick it up with cash in hand. I'm a student and my laptop tanked on me just this morning. All I wanted was a little help and understanding. These kids these days are ridiculous when it comes to customer service and understanding that customer retention is one of the most important parts of running a business. NOT YOUR EGO! I took my money and went to Walmart to get a new laptop. I'm never going to MicroCenter again. read more

"Can you please tell me where this is?" I asked as I pointed to a hard drive enclosure in a sales ad after finally tracking down a sales person that had emerged from his hiding spot. He guided me to a wall far away from where the regular hard drive enclosures are, and asked, "Do you know what to do with it?" "Yes." I replied as I picked up the box. "I'm going to carry around my makeup in it!!! Thanks!" I drove here from Louisville. I was building a new pc and was planning on buying everything online from newegg and or amazon. Then I heard about Micro Center on retailmenot talking about their crazy deals. Micro Center beat ONLINE prices, and not by just a little, by around 20%. I saved so much I upgraded my components. (Asrock Pro3 board to a Asrock Extreme 4.) SARA G.and GARY T. were awesome!! Sara answered all by dumb questions about os's and Gary knew everything there was to know about mobo/CPU combos and which parts play nice with each other. Memory and power too. Guys smart as hell. So I drove 2 hours and while I was at it visited ikea. I swear you have to come to northern Cincy to get a good deal I guess. Anyway I'm very happy with the service and prices at Micro Center. One could spend hours just looking at everything. My only COMPLAINT is that there isn't one in Louisville. All well. read more

Some days, my line of work involves arriving at an office with little advance information and 12 hours on the ground to get everything technology-related up and working. As one could expect, that will sometimes lead to an "uh oh" moment and I just don't have the time to wait for UPS the next morning. For those times, Micro Center has consistently risen to the occasion by bailing me out of some tight spots, and the Sharonsville location lived up to my expectations. I found myself in Cincinnati for the first time, and only for about 12 hours. The site I arrived at was in some pretty bad shape, and I suddenly found myself in urgent need of a UPS. My brand of choice is APC's Smart-UPS line, and it was not to be found in Staples or any other store in Cincinnati itself. Thankfully, Micro Center's website allowed me to check for local store inventory, and even though it showed there was only 1 left in stock, that actually means that Micro Center *actually* has the product unlike other stores that claim that anything under 3 means none are in stock due to shrinkage (theft). I got the email shortly after placing the order online, showing that the UPS was waiting for pickup. Now - getting there from downtown Cinci isn't bad. Getting back in during rush hour with the incredible construction around Micro Center wasn't as easy. Thankfully, they had Red Bull and chips at the checkout area, so I was able to fortify myself for the drive. Friendly, helpful, and affordable. Micro Center always delivers. read more
