I want to Valentina in September of 2019 to have permanent eyeliner done. Not to say that she is bad at what she does, in fact I think her eyebrow work is lovely and she was pleasant and professional, though very difficult to get a hold of and schedule. Permanent eyeliner is done in two sessions, and numbing cream is applied prior to applying the permanent makeup. Now I'm tough and have a high pain tolerance, and this is supposed to be uncomfortable so I was well prepared to be in a lot of discomfort, but this was easily the most painful, uncomfortable experience of my life. Mind you, I've had micro needling, laser hair removal, juvederm & restalyne fillers, skateboard, bike and car accidents, tattoos, multiple piercings... this hurt the WORST of it all. Like a very irritating, annoying, scratching sensation that you cannot touch and you have to keep your eyes open even though a needle is right in your face. The most aggravating part was that when it was all said and done, I could see that the wings weren't even, and on one side, it even curled up horribly into what almost looks like a cursive lower case letter "c," see photos for reference. All of that horrific pain and $500 to have a funky awful curly line coming up around my eyelashes. This is not what I had in mind when I booked with Valentina, looking at her portfolio and the eyeliner tattoos she had done, I was very impressed and confident in her work. Another thing that was extremely disappointing and made me angry over the last few months that I've been debating on whether or not to write this, the eyeliner was PENCIL THIN along my lash line despite her grating across my lash line so many times I was afraid my lashes were going to fall out. She's nice enough and I really wanted to support a female independent contractor/business owner, but this work is so disappointing, I came to her with clear pictures of what I wanted. She assured me she could do it, and explained how it worked, and we booked the appointment. I showed her pictures from her Instagram to reference the style, shape, and size I was going for, and showed her the same image multiple times. Now I understand that maybe she would have been able to achieve these results if I had gone to my follow up appointment but honestly, she lost my trust and I never went for my follow up appointment in the hopes that the curly line would fade so I will still have a shot at having someone else touch it up. I hope it can be fixed, luckily it isn't permanent, but it's honestly embarrassing and it'll be there for a while. I'm looking into other studios to have this fixed so if anyone out there knows a skilled permanent eyeliner artist, please send me their way. I just want this fixed because it is so disappointing and depressing having my eyes look like a kindergartener scribbled on my face with a Bik pen. Please be careful if you choose to go to Valentina, I'm not sure why this happened the way it did but I'm very dissatisfied and I hope no one else has an experience like mine. My advice? Save your money and go to Daria Chupry's to get quality work for what you pay. read more
