Arrive hungry but not starving. We like to stop here for lunch on our Southern Oregon road trips and the food is really good. However, on our most recent trip, the predicted 20 minute wait to receive our order stretched past 50 minutes. The staff has been uniformly great and they will give you your drinks as soon as you order, but at a certain point, I was looking to have a snack before my meal arrived. It is all outdoor seating with a tables and benches under an awning on the porch with additional tables getting full sun or shaded by a tree. In addition to traditional grill fare, I enjoyed the deep fried mushrooms as a side this time around and would absolutely do it again. Portions are nice and prices are reasonable. Just don't plan on a quick roadside stop. read more

We dipped into Myrtle Creek for a football game and found Mid Town Grill. The staff at the walk up ordering window was pleasant and the food priced right. It took about 30 minutes to receive our order, but they brought it to our car. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries (no pictures) and a club sandwich fried mushrooms. The food looked great and the mushrooms were really tasty. We would eat here again if we wanted a quick dinner. read more

Visiting from Vancouver, Washington for work, I am an avid yelper so of course I came here to find some good local eats. Drove 20 minutes south from where I am staying because the reviews were so great! I was looking forward to the cheesecake, but they are out of it until Monday, luckily, I will be here until Tuesday, so I will be coming by to grab that cheesecake. I was greeted immediately when I walked up everyone was super nice. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with fried mushrooms, a piece of fried cod, and a cup of the clam chowder. Comfortable seating outside shaded it was a warm day wasn't loud outside either. They brought my food out to me, and all of it was excellent! The clam chowder was thick. Everything else was fried to perfection and piping hot. I think my eyes are bigger than my stomach. I had a ton of leftovers, but the portions are massive as well, with a giant diet Dr Pepper and tip, bill was 30 bucks which is not bad! I'm sorry to say we won't be returning to Mid Town Grill. My husband and I decided to give MTG one more chance today. The past few visits we were surprised that the food was VERY greasy. Today was no different except the grease that had drained was brownish in color and had JELLED, not solidified but JELLED in the corner of the to-go container. Can't do it again. We love supporting local businesses but this is just not acceptable. Have heard similar complaints from friends. This problem can be fixed Mid Town Grill. Go for it! And this Oregon spot does not disappoint. Jumbo shrimp-yes, very jumbo, fresh, cooked perfectly. Fried mushrooms-Omgosh they are heaven-so 'mushroomy' . Clam chowder-perfect, thick, creamy, with lots of tender clams. The chowder tastes very fresh, not like it's leftover from a previous day. Cole slaw-creamy, fresh, crunchy-perfect. Be ready for a lot of food. We couldn't even get into the chicken, avocado, bacon sandwich. It'll be there as leftovers when we need it. All outdoor seating, which makes it very dog-friendly. Honestly horrible! I did a walk up order. No one else was there in line. Had to wait 50 mins, no joke. As I get handed my food, they tell me I really should place orders on the phone ....... Then I get home and we literally barely have a handful of fries that come with the food. One slice of avocado on the burger itself. Just awful considering I can and should have just took the time to cook my own food and it would have taken the same amount of time and been $50 cheaper. I had heard such good things about Mid Town Grill, but it was a bit of a drive from us. We decided to give it a shot today. Was not expecting to eat outside under a tree with the yellow jackets, but it is what it is. We placed a big order to try a lot of things. Fried mushrooms, clam chowder, fish and chips and carnivore burger with onion rings. Considering how long we waited for the food, we expected good things. We truly enjoyed the fish and the onion rings. Other than that, I put all the food as about average. I have had better burgers and clam chowder in other places. On I 5 coming home after a trip to rescue a pup in Cali, tired and hungry, saw a 5 star review on yelp and said I'm in. We both had the cheese burger and tots, talk about juicy (not greasy). We always get the order to go and I always forget to take pictures! Mid Town Grill is my favorite place to eat in my area. I always get one item if I can and that is the Yummy Deep Fried Mushrooms! They are always fresh and always so flavorful! I do believe it's outside seating only, I could be wrong. They seem to have plenty of seating and the parking is a little close but there is street side parking. I have had their Fish and Chips, Cheeseburgers and Fries! All are so good! read more

We ordered a salad with chicken and lots of veggies and bacon and cheddar. I was trying to go "light" but chose to include all this salad offered. Glad I did !! It was amazing. My cousin had the "wrap of the day" special and it was so fresh and yummy. We ate outside on one of the picnic benches and were so satisfied. The food we took to go was also fantastic. We pulled into Tri-City to try Mid Town Grill specifically while traveling north to Portland based on Yelp's 5 star reviews. I had the Fisherman's Plate, a basket of fried cod, mushrooms and calamari. The breading was very lite or maybe it was the oil rendering the meat very tender and flavorful. While I was skeptical about trying this cafe, we were blown away by the service and the food. The order taker was very helpful in navigating the menu and made great recommendations. The food was SO delicious! We had the clam chowder and a chicken bacon avocado sandwich with the real star, onion rings. No ordinary onion rings, these were hand cut and hand dipped to order and the coating was light and crunchy, onions cooked to perfection. The chowder was very good, almost eclipsed by a grilled sourdough bread bowl. So many great flavors in one meal! We got to meet the owner who made sure her customers had a great experience. We were well taken care of even though the kitchen was stacked up with phone orders when we arrived. Onion Rings were done perfectly and the onion didn't pull out of the batter as often happens. I'm on a road trip through OR and stopped by just for The Phoenix sandwich. I ordered mine crispy with a side of tots and wow did it hit the spot! My husband ordered a beef burger with pulled pork and I had to steal a bite of it it tasted and smelled amazing! We decided to go big and get some fried mushrooms and those were gone in the blink of an eye!I haven't made it to the cheesecake yet but I already had to stop and review because this place is so good!!!!!
