I'd give them NO stars if I could. They replaced my 2000 excursion shocks but replaced them with the wrong size. I didn't realize the Midas professionals placed them with the wrong size shocks until my new tires cupped. I then took them back just to hear that they were fine,wth? I replaced them elsewhere and took the wrong sized shocks back to Midas and at that point they were going to look into it and "call me". NOT a call, sorry, nothing!!! Never went back since and don't recommend them ever again!!!!! I imagine they got their refund for them but the I received nada, they could care less here! read more

I called the day before to see if they had an opening to do my brakes. They did and they told me that it would take 2.5 to 3 hours to complete the job. The person told me I could bring my car in at 8 am. I took this to mean that I would have my car back between 10:30 and 11:00. So I decided to wait in Bend, and just go to breakfast and take a long walk. They called around 9:30 and told me they had just checked all the brakes and it would take about 2 more hours to do the front. I figured an extra half our was inside the ballpark so it would be okay. They didn't call so I went back to the shop around 11:45 and found my car was still being worked on. When asked if I needed help, I said I was still waiting for my Honda Element. No one apologized or explained what was taking so long, or offered to tell me how much longer it would be. When I finally asked they said it would be another 45 minutes. Well, I finally got my car back around 1:30... no apologies for the extra time it took even though they knew I had been just waiting. I did save a few dollars, but just left without a good feeling. read more

I called Chris on Saturday morning to see if they could get me in for front brakes the same day. Chris was friendly and accommodating. An hour later they had my truck on the rack, identified several other safety concerns, a worn control arm and a CV axle. It only took three hours to complete all of the necessary work. I'm grateful to have my truck back with minimal downtime and to have had professional mechanics get the job done. I'll be sure to come back to Midas for future services. read more

Raul, Chris, Treavor and Jon saved out vacation!! A wheel bearing on our Suburban went out coming over the pass. 400 miles from home, still an hour left before we reached our campsite, 3 restless kids in the backseat, and getting close to closing time for shops, we weren't sure what to do. Not knowing if Midas even did that kind of work (I always thought they just did brakes), we stopped in to ask. They said they'd have the parts in 15 minutes and get right to work on it! These guys stayed after closing to finish up, so that we could continue our trip. There's not enough words to express how grateful we are!! read more

Fraudulent advertising on website & Rude Employees! I called Midas Tuesday and they said a new heater core would be $617. I brought it in on Thursday and they kept it over night. They called Friday and said it would NOW be $672.97. I grinded my teeth and said "fine" but then on Saturday when I picked it up the price went up again to $691. I said fine whatever as long as its fixed. I pulled out my coupon for $30 and he got really upset with me and asked "Why didn't you give this to me when you dropped it off? You should have given it to me then!" He was so mad. He said, "Now I have to go into the computer and do this all over again" Then, I found out they did NOT accept Midas credit cards, after I applied and was approved. I was never more upset. I should NEVER have to call a company and ask if they accept their OWN company credit card. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. The guy then brought down his manager who then proceeded to argue that it states on their website that they do NOT accept Midas credit cards, and it says in tiny print that it only accepted at participating Midas companies. In the end I walked out the most upset I have been in my entire life. NOTE: visit their website: http://www.midas.com/bend/store.aspx?shopnum=1806&dmanum=90 and you will see that it states under method of payment the first listed is advertised "Midas credit card" I have a screen printed out in case they decide to last minute change it. How am I supposed to pay for this then? I am a struggling broke family with 2 children and we are living paycheck to paycheck borrowing money every week from someone to try and pay for gas alone, and now we are forced to put up with this fraudulent activity! Merry Christmas to me, add more bills to my pile: Rent (500), Snow tires (800), Heater with Midas (661), Credit cards (300), car payment (225) car insurance (78), student loans, (200/mo) etc. etc. I am definitely NOT recommending anyone get their car done here. I had my winter tires put on here. We came to pick up the car and halfway home I realized my tires weren't in the back of my car. I turned around and got back right before they closed. I asked where my tires were and they said oh they're on the side of the building!! So basically my tires would have just sat there, outside all night. I asked why they weren't put in the back of my car and was told that they probably didn't want to get my car dirty. Then I was told, by another person, that someone else has said to put their tires on the side of the building and they just simply mixed us up. Thanks guys! Also didn't put a window sticker in for my oil change. Not a HUGE deal, but I had to go back and make sure they ACTUALLY did it. The mechanics were super nice but the guy behind the desk was very arrogant and insisted that "no one would have touched the tires." - not the point and you don't know that for sure. Seems from the reviews that others have had issues with the managements attitude as well. read more

Dissapointed and pretty piss. I had been going there for years. Never had a issue . Today was another story. Today I had appointment here for engine diagnosis. I called from home two days ago. Told them I'll be driving from coast to see them. No problem will get you taken of. Walking in this morning I get told that I don't have anyone to diagnosis the car. Raul was pretty honest. But he this holly than tho attitude is rude. Why have a shop if your not gonna get dirty. So my trip for nothing could been avoided by looking at the books and saying hey. Maybe I should call my customer and let him I don't have tech on the weekends.. not when I walk in 8 am and have driven 328 miles to see you. Thanks. Best service ever! I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation~ left to grab a bite to eat next door, came back and my car was already serviced. But, I forgot to request the free tire rotation. I felt pretty lame but the owner immediately had my car back on the rack and the tires rotated. I apologized but the owner showed no signs of being irritated by my screw up and was extremely professional. The office and shop were as sterile and professional as a surgery room- with an added bonus of fast, friendly service. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will definitely be back! read more

Honestly the worst experience we have ever had! Terrible service, dishonest, rude... Even the owner who we had to track down on site as he refused to take our phone calls was horrible. He had absolutely no remorse for how we were treated or for what happened to our vehicle while in their shop. I could go on and on but rather than continue I will just advise to NEVER EVER go here. I went into Les Schwab because when I was with my son driving and the bakes felt a little squishy. I was told at Les Schwab that I needed all 4 brake pads and calipers. They told me the Rotors were perfectly fine. I then called around and I talked to someone at Midas who told me that they could beat Les Schwab's price by $200. I made an appointment for Wednesday to take it in. After I went back to get it they charged me $200 more and said they also replaced the rotors. I was so upset, I asked for the Rotors but I think they gave me someone else's because I took them to Les Schwab to the same guy who saw me two days prior and he said that he couldn't say anything for sure because he had to protect himself and the company but off the record he said he didn't think those were my rotors. He said if those were mine, I should have been hearing a metal to metal sound when I brake and I never heard that not even once. He also looked at my so called new rotors and said that he didn't think they looked new. I don't think they ever replaced them and I think they are crooked. I know I didn't need rotors. I have written a letter to the owner and I am turning them into the Better Business Bureau today. I will tell as many people as I can never to go there!!! THEY ARE CROOKS!!! read more

I have been going to Midas of Bend for over 5 years and will not let anyone else touch my car, I have over 285,000 and because of the work they do I will probably get another 200,000. I have been in their waiting room many times and listen to the way the treat their customers, Raul is one of the fairest people I know. I just prevailed in court against WUZZNEX LLC doing business as Midas Auto Service Experts at 3575 N. Hwy 97, Bend, Oregon. The new struts on my Miata were incorrectly installed. The owner/manager would not return calls and I finally went to court. The judgement was for the cost I incurred correcting the problem, cost & services expenses; and prevailing party fee. The court also awarded pre-judgment interest at 9%. The defendant did not appeal the judgment and the judgment was certified. read more

DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MIDAS OF BEND. They are swindling crooks!!! They do offer cheap work but will nickel and dime you for made up problems they find. My experience: I was told I had a manifold leak both sides of the engine and a bad catalytic converter after oil change and was warned not to take vehicle on trip till problems were fixed. Total cost $1600!!! Took my Vehicle to Custom Exhaust Specialists in Bend and was advised there was one small leak on the right side manifold rated as a .01 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. The catalytic converter was tested three different ways and was found to have NO problem what so ever. CES advised absolutely no work on the exhaust system necessary. In sitting at midas for three hours i witnessed almost every customer that came in being advised that there was something else wrong with there vehicle that needed to be fixed other than what they brought there vehicle in for. DO NOT TRUST them!!!!! read more
