It's shocking how this business is willing to take advantage of people. My son was traveling to see his sister when his car broke down in front of Midas. They charged him $531 for an alternator from O'Reilly's (part #R110067) that costs $279. That's double the price! They also charged him $78 for a belt (K060882) that only costs $36, and $202 for the labor. In total, my son ended up paying $1,000, cause they also upsold him on a wheel alignment for 180$, which was much more than his old Chevy Malibu was worth. Any person with an ethical bone in their body would have suggested that he call a friend for help. At AutoZone, this alternator costs $180, and his stepdad, father, or a friend could have walked him through the replacement in about 30 minutes. This is a kid straight out of basic training and AIT, still waiting for his assignment to be able to buy a new car. He has been limping this one in an effort to get by until he goes full time. Daughter brought a Honda Accord in for ac issues. Was blowing out hot. Technician ran a leak test no issue. Tech had no idea what was wrong. Asked a second mechanic to look at it said it need a new compressor and a few other parts. Estimate came to around 3500.00. i had my daughter bring it to a garage in Republic mo. They found a leak. Cost her 80. Looks like the other mechanics were trying to take advantage of a female. Would definitely not recommend them at all. read more

Jeremy (and Juan) got me patched up so quickly when I had a flat tire right before I had to make a 2 Hour drive to Tulsa for an appointment in 2 hours. I asked and called Walmart to see if they could patch me up real quick, but they couldn't because there was a line of people. When your car suddenly needs something ridiculous fixed it can be intensely stressful. When no one else was able Midas got the car in quickly. As it turned out after their diagnostic procedure it needed to be seen by the dealer...what a breath of relief when I asked what I owed for the diagnosis and she said, "don't worry about it, we'll keep it here until they tow, you're all set." I didn't want to write this review however I felt it was necessary because they came highly recommended. I called ahead inquiring about a synthetic oil change for my BMW and specifically asked if they had experience working on a 6 speed manual 530 XI which are kind of rare and the manager assured me that they were qualified to do so. FYI there's a mandatory training & certification that must be obtained in order to work on BMW's legally but the fine print releases them from liability. Initially I realized that the mileage they had quoted for my follow up oil change was already less miles than my car already had so i called and they estimated a new number. Then my oil light came on so I called a certified BMW mechanic who showed me that my coolant level was dangerously low and that not only did they not change the oil filter but that because my car holds 9 liters of oil he said he doubted they even changed the oil because it was incredibly low. The only reason I wasn't livid was because When I called to speak with the manager he was polite and offered me a full refund which I thought was acceptable. . he did say it would have to go through corporate and it would take some time while. after not receiving a check for two months i spoke to corporate where they informed me that the incident had never been documented or submitted for reimbursement. I did eventually receive a check for the amount of the oil change. I will never go back and don't recommend them to anybody read more

This particular Midas has treated us so well over the years. My son drives a 2006 HHR that we bought with almost 100k miles. They have serviced it for the entire 6.5 years we have owned it, all through high school driving, all through college and one last time before he drives off to Denver to his first professional job (going over and above to get it done at the last minute). I usually don't write reviews but needed to share my frustration and the safety measures that was missed on my car. It could've cost me and my families life. I don't want this to happen to others. One of their mechanics took the job to repair my car in their shop on his time to replace my struts, shocks, motor mounts, and axel. It took him at least three weeks off and on to fix my car. I would say that the total time it took would be one whole week to replace, repair and fix all of the mistakes he had made. I had to leave my van there overnight multiple times. I felt like I kept getting excuse after excuse of the status for why my car is not getting completed. If I didn't check the car, he would probably never told me about his mistakes. He once showed up at my house at 9:45 pm looking for payment. Besides the broken screws and things that he just plainly forgot to do. My engine mounts that he replaced, my brother in law (a mechanic) just found out that the nuts was still loose and was not tighten. The mechanic from Midas took a screw from one of the mounts to replace the one that he broke. The axel that was replaced, I had to take it back for him to replaced it because it kept leaking transmission fluid. It took him 2.5 full days to repair it. He kept it overnight in the shop for 2 days in order to repair it. Prior to bringing it back to him the 2nd time, I had drained and flushed out my transmission fluid because it leaked out and only had about 1/4 left in there. It cost my 108 dollars on a whole case genuine Honda transmission fluid. My gear right now sounds like to struggling to shift. I can't step on my gas pedal expecting the gear to change quickly when I'm stuck in this NY traffic. I didn't know about these issues until I drove across the country to drop off my daughter to college. I first noticed it when I was in Springfield, Missouri but didn't think much about it until I felt like my wheel was about to come off in Pennsylvania. I found that the lug nuts was not tighten enough and I had to re-tighten up all of the lug nuts that was loose on all four tires. Please don't take your car to this place. I didn't believe the other reviews that I saw on Google but now I do because I'm experiencing the same thing. I'm spending more money to get my transmission fluid flushed again and looking for bolts to replace the missing one. read more

I am very upset with Midas. I took my car which has 104,000 miles to Midas on Walton last night. I told the guy at desk three times I wanted front and rear brakes replaced. I told him, I don't want to come in here tomorrow, and you have a reason not to replace them. So guess what? I went in there to pick up and he did not replace the rear brakes, but he did say the front rotors needed turned. I believe that is an outright lie. Less than a year ago I had them check them and he told me rear brakes were about 1/2 worn. So he charged me almost 1/2 as much to not replace my brakes as it would have cost to just replace my brakes. This is second time I have told this wacky guy to do something and he just ignored me. I am really surprised to not see more reviews for this place. I went in with a minor issue but the man at the front desk had a great sense of humor and the service was VERY quick. My car was looked at as soon as I walked in. A 10 minute fix was fixed in 10 minutes, no goofing around. While waiting I looked at the prices of the different services they offered and they were all reasonable and I will definitely plan on coming back. I have been looking for someone to install the new brakes I purchased so I was disappointed to see the sign that they not longer instal customer parts, but I would still come to them no matter what work I needed. read more

I went in for basic oil change and was quoted a 15-20 min wait and ended up waiting over 2 hours. I don't mind waiting and understand that may be the case at times, but if there is that long of a wait, it needs to be communicated by the staff. read more

I asked for a synthetic blend oil change from this location, and was given a full synthetic oil change. I was told that I had to pay for the full synthetic, despite not asking for that service. When I called the next day to talk to the manager, he was very rude and unwilling to give me the difference back between the full synthetic and the synthetic blend oil changes. He talked down to me, and did not even allow me to explain my side of the story. Further, during this current pandemic, he stated on the phone that he does not follow the mask mandate guidelines in the waiting room. This is unsafe to the surrounding community as this is one simple thing he could be doing to help slow the spread so the hospitals in our community do not get overwhelmed. I am very upset with the service that I have received and the attitude of the employees at this location. I highly recommend that anyone considering this location go elsewhere.
