Our brakes were bad, Midas gave us the quote with the most convenient appointment availability. We took our van in and they replaced the front and back rotors and brake pads for close to $1,000. My husband had zero time to do our brakes, so we took it in. After the first day my brakes had a squealing sound and they sounded like a hover board slowing down very fast with a grinding noise when I came to a stop!! They were not correct; this was after the technician test drove it as well. The grinding noise wasn't every time but the squealing was. Called them and took it back in. They test drove it and said brakes were fine and they just needed to bend back a piece of metal that was rubbing. They came to me with another quote, for over $1,200, saying something else was bad and needed replaced asap. But when I left here a few days prior, "everything looked great!" My rims are almost completely black from brake dust, after multiple car washes this month! The back rims are completely fine! I'm very upset that this bill was so high and out of budget, but necessary, and they weren't even done correctly to keep my kids and myself safe. I would have rather did them myself for half the cost! My brakes sound like they were never replaced and they are metal to metal again!!! I can't afford $1,000/month to keep replacing brakes!!! I've came to mida to replace my struts and shocks. Mike came to me and callled his wife to communicate better. I'm deaf, mind you. And the communication and understanding was huge bonus for us to come to understanding what Mike is helping us with. Upon arrival dropping my car off, I've simply asked Mike if he could help replace my driver side light bulb and he kindly oblige to do so. After getting my car, it rides much better and my headlight works. I'm grateful for Mike and his wife for communicating and helping me. They've definitely got my business from now on. I had Midas on Beechmont replace my entire exhaust system, which cost over $1000 on my Sierra 2500HD. The tips of the muffler system are completely rusted and it has been only 6 months. I was told that is not covered under warranty, I have filed a complaint with Midas corporate we will see what happens. Oh they did say if I wanted to buy better tips they could put them on for $50. After hearing some grinding noise from my back tire I decided I need to have the brakes checked out. I took it to a shop and they said that my pads were nearly depleted and that my rotors needed to be replaced also. I asked if the rest of the brake system was fine, and they said yes, just the pads and rotors needed to be replaced and that everything else was fine. They quoted me a very high price. I told them that I was going to shop around. I took it to Midas on Beechmont. Brad quoted me a better price so I decided that I would let them do the job. After they replaced the pads and rotors they told me that they had an issue with removing my front right caliper. He wanted to charge me more. He told me that they were able to get it back on. I said that is fine thank you. A few days later I noticed every now and then, when I applied the break, I would get a grinding noise from the front tire. I took it back and asked them to find out what the problem was. He told me that the front calipers were seizing up and they both needed to be replaced. I have had my vehicle for a very long time and at no time ever did my vehicle ever make this kind of noise, ever. And now he wants to charge me another $1,000 to fix something they obviously broke. No thanks. My attorneys will deal with the issue. And if they will lie and take advantage of a combat veteran, they will like and take advantage of you also. I would consider taking my vehicle to another shop. These people clearly are not trustworthy. Now, excuse me, I need to call Midas corporate to get their legal department contact information for my attorney. read more

My Chevrolet equinox required a cam shaft sensor . The manager quoted about 5 hundred dollars I had no idea what it was or the avg cost. He went on about they had to take off numerous parts to get to the part. Wrong, it was about 15 minute at most. I watched from the show room and timed the service tech. i will give them the service charge $130.00 an hour plus the mark up on the part retail about $50 dollars His mark up to over to over $110. He went on about the computer shows over three hour for labor. i know business needs profits but this was a rip. I did get him to reduce the labor to an hour .Part at his mark up plus tax etc. I check other service centers in the area Top price was $200 parts and labor Never go to this Midas read more

I absolutely love Midas, I recently had a major problem with my brakes, and it was going to take a couple of days to get the parts and fix it, Dave the Manager was really nice and explained everything so i could understand it. i had to leave my car overnight, so Ed gave me a ride home which was very nice of him to do so, The next day after work i went down there to pick up my car but it wasnt quite ready, there was a problem getting some parts they needed, so i waited. It was a pretty long wait but worth it, Ed was always checking on me making sure i was doing ok, talking to me and making me smile to get my mind off of the wait..Chris is the one that worked on my car and he did a great job. I left feeling safe behind the wheel. I have a 1992 corvette. I bought tailpipes for it and thought they should be professionally installed. Where else wound you go but, Midas. In the old days maybe. These guys don't care about your car or you. Make sure you go to BBB and read the unresolved complaints first. I left my car there for 4-5 hours. When I picked the car up, the tailpipes were rubbing the paint and were twisted. the pipe clamp bolts stuck way below the car. They did turn the bolts but then rubbed against the suspension. The asst. manager saw no problems. On the way home the driver side tailpipe fell off. BTW, I had them replace the speed sensor. But the asst. manager said that wasn't the problem. When I got home I tried gluing the tailpipes back on till I could take it back. While I was at it I checked the speed sensor. Turns out, they didn't put the speed sensor gear on the sensor. These guys clearly don't care or don't know what their doing. I called the corp office and never heard back from them. They clearly don't care either. I did however call the shop and talked to the manager. Seemed like a nice guy but, not at all a mechanic. Said I should bring the corvette back. he would make it right. When I got there, he told me the tailpipes looked fine. after I tried to glue them to get it back to the shop. Now the speed sensor is leaking fluid. They clam the sensor is defective. On the work order they tried to blame me and a defective sensor. After the manager doctored is report and tried to blame me for there shortcoming. I decided to file a complaint with BBB. Thats when I saw 180 complaint in the passed 12 months. took my car to Firestone. They did a great job. And noted all on their report. I'll be filing a lawsuit in the next couple of days. PEOPLE DO YOUR HOMEWORK. These are the biggest group of I don't give a dam people I have ever me. read more

They literally suck Zane has no idea what he is doing. I gave them my car on a Friday. We talked on Monday said it will be done Tuesday. Tuesday comes and goes. I call them on Wednesday they said they ran into "problems" ok sure it happens. I had to call them all of the following days for updates. They did not call me. I did not receive my car until Friday. This place is a joke dont waste ur time or money made a appt for 1pm they said it would be a few hours til it was done got a call at 4 saying it needed a bunch of stuff all i wanted was balance and alignment but they couldnt do balance cause tires were too old i understood just told them alignment then guy told me it would be another 30 to 40 mins i saod no problem got there at 445pm waited til 510 to go in and see how much longer they said they havent gotten to it because they were busy they finally got to my vehicle and i left at 546 they charged full price, the district manager called he didnt care kept saying i needed new tires thats my choice if i want them or not he refused to do anything about the issue no partial refund nothing tbis place is a joke! read more

The last place you want go see yourself on christmas eve when family are on their way over, and you have a million things to do before then, is to find yourself at a car repair place. But thats where i found myself. I wish i had taken the time to get their names, but the guys that were there were super and efficient and they didn't mind being there, even on christmas eve! Also, i have taken my car to many many places asking about a back windshield wiper over the past four years, when i took it in for regular maintenance but nobody has ever bothered to fix it. So i stopped asking. I didn't even bring it up this visit, expecting the same results. Not only did these guys notice the back windshield wiper was the wrong size but they actually took the time to fix it. Thanks so much i appreciated both of you!!! read more

Excellent customer service! I went in for a simple oil change then received a call that they had found an area of concern on my car. Come to find out my alignment was out and had worn my tread down considerably. Needless to say I didn't get it down here (should have). Unfortunately my car takes somewhat of an odd tire size that they didn't have in stock. To add to the story I was leaving the very next day to move across country to AZ and really needed this issue resolved. The guys made some calls to a friends tire shop in Tri-county and quickly stated " We got you covered". Not only did I get the tires mounted and balanced that day, but I saved a ton of money from what I had previously paid for tires. They went above and beyond, and I really appreciated that! Not sure why I keep coming back here. I guess just because it's close to me. About 2/3 of the time it's fine, no better or worse than anywhere else. But sometimes the service takes wayyyyyy longer than it should. The first time I ever went here, about four years ago, I was waiting for over six hours, much longer than they'd indicated it would take - and then when they were finished they charged me for an oil change they'd performed that wasn't on the original quote. I avoided this place for a while after that, but it *is* nearby so eventually I started coming back. I haven't had any other problems that egregious, but now and then they're pretty slow. A few weeks ago I went in and asked if they could get me in for an oil change. They said yes, they could get me in pretty quickly. Two hours later, I had to call my doctor and reschedule an appointment because they weren't done yet (the next available appointment wasn't for a month, thanks Midas). Don't tell me you can get me in quickly if it's going to be over an hour before you even glance at my car! read more

They continue to give us great service and they have even helped us out when we went to another place and they ended up screwing us (check out my Pep Boys review). Last Friday a check engine light came on and I went to Autozone to read it. It was a bad MAP part. They had one. I walked across parking lot to Midas that was closing. Eddie asked me about my problem and he then finished closing up and came over to my car. HE INSTALLED THE PART. I HAD A FUNERAL THE NEXT DAY AND REALLY NEEDED IT FIXED ASAP. MIDAS FIXED IT. I had a mini emergency on my way home from work and pulled into an auto supply store for a diagnostic test. They could not help because of the unusual placement of my battery, but Midas was next door so I walked over and spoke to the Manager. Within 20 minutes they were working on replacing my battery. They discovered it was more than my battery, so they arranged for me to come back at 7:15 the next morning and had the alternator replaced and had me on my way by 8:30. I have never been confronted with such an inconvenient problem that was so conveniently solved! read more

I was referred to this location by my father-in-law mainly for the honest, good work and excellent customer service that Steve provides and could not agree more.
