Such a great deal, the best around! Especially because the original prices are $46 and $74. I called to confirm because I was bringing my toddler along and they promised 15 minutes, maybe 30 if they're busy. It ended up taking longer, around 45-1 hour but they were all so kind and nice, I can easily get over the wait. The waiting room is pretty dirty and gross but you can tell they try to keep it clean. It is a mechanic after all. A small pot of coffee sits out nearby a large soda machine. What seemed like a manager told me if I could get more people in for an oil change and they used my name, he'd give me something free like wiper blades. Random but how nice! I'm assuming their productivity is low but not really my problem. The gesture was kind! On top of that, while I was checking out and they did the final inspection, they noticed my brake light was out. It has been for months. The were so nice and willingly replaced my bulb that I bought a few months back. Just one extra step that they didn't have to do but chose to. My oil was changed, filters all checked, windows washed and out the door very happy, which is most important! AND it only cost me $13!

During the oil change, the technician told me he received a shock and asked if my key was turned to the battery (I have a keyless start). He then explained that while trying to get the oil filter out he hit the alternator with the wrench at the same time he was touching it to the metal frame, which explains the shock. Immediately after leaving I got a "battery saver active" warning. When I got home and googled it I realized this meant something was preventing my battery from charging. We immediately called the number on the paperwork and were told our only recourse was to have them submit a claim which would take 5 to 7 business days for a response. Mind you I now have a vehicle that is undrivable. We were able to find a mechanic friend to test the vehicle and found the heavy duty Mega Fuse in the alternator charging line was blown. My husband had to drive over 50 miles to find one and have it replaced. Not ideal, but better than waiting 5-7 days for a response. We figured we would submit the receipt and mileage when we heard back about our claim. It has now been 11 days and we have received no response from Take 5. We have tried calling back but now all of the numbers provided on the paperwork cannot be reached or are unavailable, including the direct number to the store. I have used Take 5 for several years but after this experience will be taking my business elsewhere.

You read that right. They choose the slowest shipping option and made me wait that long.. I recored the tech in the drive saying that the slipping was normal for a new flywheel....they will lie. They will decieve. They will judge you on appearance. They left my car with 3 miles of gas and the first time they swapped my transmission my interior piece was still hanging off. They are a nightmare to go to and this was all WARRANTY WORK for my maxcare carmax warranty. They should've never got my business. Be like me, stay smart and avoid scummy business like these!!! Worst employees I've ever seen in person!
