The staff were awesome. I explained my experience with another company, Vavoline. They caused more than 7k of damage because they drained transmission fluid. If I could give ZERO stars I would , terrible company do not do business with them !!! The district manager AARON is the rudest and most unprofessional upper management I've dealt with from any company . You deal with people on that level you expect great customer service .......nope! They damaged my vehicle this has been dragged out for 3 months and then have been extremely rude when I have every right to be upset!!! No ability to communicate to customers effectively from upper management in a situation caused by them . Store manager has been great in trying to defuse and be an advocate for us and displays great customer service much better than upper management. This horror story still hasn't ended and I feel so uncomfortable working with them for my damages they caused moving forward . Now I'm receiving text messages from the DM saying he's not going back and forth with me and I'm rude ...... uh causing 2k worth of body damage to someone's car is rude, me having to miss work and go to three different appointments to fix the issues is rude , Being hung up on three times is rude. 1 star only because 0 is not an option Today I scheduled a 3:30 pm appointment online, to use the 59.99 full synthetic coupon; however, when I arrived to the Midas location (5845 Stetson Hills Blvd., Colorado Springs 80923), the person, possibly the manager, would not in process me. He callously stated that he does not take 3:30 appointments, almost to the point of argumentative, as if were lying.  The website provided a 3:30 to 4:00 pm Saturday option, which is the one I selected, as I explained to him. I have never had a pleasant experience at a single Midas, but thought things might have changed from a few years ago, plus the good deal made me give them another chance. Well huge miss here again and guess not surprised.  It appears Midas has staff that are not brand ambassadors with dissatisfied arrogant attitudes. This may be fine for some, but I realized for no amount of a discount would I debase my consumer worth.  I am writing this to voice the disservice Midas staff is having to the Midas corporation and in hopes that positive changes occur. ugh no I made an appointment for 11:30 on a Tuesday. I make an appointment for 2 reasons. 1-I respect both my time and yours and 2- this will allow you to prepare for my arrival and have the necessary people and bays available. I showed up early since my mama raised me right and was all checked in before my 11:30 time came. then I sat. and waited. I watched others wait. we all watched lion King and waited. I noticed at 12:10 that my car was still in the same place I parked it. noooo... this can't be? surely it's not been sitting there for 40 minutes. alas readers, it was. I told the young lady at the counter that I needed my keys back since the it was apparent that the techs hanging out weren't going to do the oil change. she disappeared and returned later with paperwork and keys. I asked for my keys again and she said she couldn't give them to me because the ticket wasn't closed out. I said there is no ticket, no work was done... keys please. she went into an office where I'm assuming the manager was, he was on the phone........ she waited for him, I was over waiting and firmly and lovingly asked for my keys for the final time. total time wasted-60 minutes time I had to ask for my keys-4 oil changes done-0 so. no. read more

We took our camper in to get a new catalytic converter put on, and when we picked it up again the air conditioning housing on the roof was cracked and broken in. When we tried to address this with the company they denied everything and said they only lifted the front of the camper when my husband, my daughter, and I all clearly saw they lifted the entire vehicle up. I cannot begin to explain the relief this store gave me. I had dropped my car off last night thinking I would need new breaks, rotors and new tires. I get a call telling me that there is life in the breaks and the rotors can be resurfaced saving me SOOOO MUCH MONEY!! I received extremely poor treatment from the staff members at the Midas location at 5845 Stetson Hills Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80923 this past week. Essentially Troy refused to speak to anyone but my husband about my vehicle, that has my name on the title. Even going to far as to not even collect my phone number, and refusing to even tell me the dollar amount of the service when I called to get an update on my car. I left a Google review that explained the situation, and was told to reach out with more information about the experience on the contact page on the Midas website. I had been going to this Midas a few times and recently ran into a serious problem that Midas caused that at first did not go well. Specifically, Midas damaged my vehicle during an oil change and initially refused to fix what they broke. I had previously taken my vehicle to the same facility a year previously, and there were no issues. Yet, the tech who pulled out the plug to my oil stripped it and Midas immediately blamed me for what they caused during my oil change. As I was trying to figure out what I would do with a car that could not hold any oil, at least two techs came to me and said my car was broke and I needed to pay $1800 or else the car could not run as there was no oil. Fortunately, Brad, the "Service Writer" helped to facilitate a temporary fix and did expedite the process trying other plugs that were larger to force into the hole, but I was disappointed in the way that shop and their leadership handled things. They were able to find a part that could fix it, but warned me that it was a temporary fix. I was not pleased and Midas Corporate Customer Service put me in touch with the area franchise owner. Immediately, I was put in contact with an amazing guy who took ownership of the problem and pledged to make things right. While I was frustrated and had to go through a lot, here is what is important to know: if you have a problem, you can trust that Midas will do the right thing and treat you with respect and professionalism. They understand that a vehicle is a huge investment and that most people need to repair their cars as they cannot afford to buy a new one. I watched many satisfied customers go in and out of the shop when I was there and I believe Aaron when he said that Midas wants to earn my repeat business and I can respect that. I saw that he spent several hours of his own time to remedy what was going wrong and make things right. Not every visit will be perfect, but at least with Aaron and Jeff (the owner), they truly are continuing the tradition of genuine customer service that has been in place for generations. Note that I am giving 5 stars because of the way the regional leadership handled things. Had Aaron not stepped in to make things right, this would have been dealt with in the courts. read more

Hi, I am usually NOT the type of person to leave comments, but I am extremely dissapointed of the service I received. Staff was friendly, but what I needed is good brakes, not annoying squeaking! My car had bad brakes, so I got a quote over $1,178 to replace all rotors and brake pads, Daniel gave me a coupon for $100 but still, quite pricey, given that I checked how much the parts cost, I got the parts overpriced. The very day I picked up the car, it started squaking every time I breaked. I took it back and they said I need to "break in" the brakes. That it may take 500 miles to do so!!!! Are you kidding me? It seems there are ways to remove the squeaking, Method 1: Apply Grease To The Brake Pads - obviously to be done by a mechanic, Method 2: Install A Set Of Shims. They simply DO NOT CARE that I have to listen to the nasty sound for 500 miles. Now I will have to spend more money elsewhere to see if they can remove the squeaking. NOT HAPPY AT ALL and don't take your car to the "brake experts". They may no be experts after all. read more

Sent my 19 year old daughter there for a couponed $19 conventional oil change. They never talked to her about her milage or anything, they just upcharged her and decided she needed the synthetic blend. When I went in and asked about it, I received their policy about always checking with the customer first. Which DID NOT happen. If they would of asked my daughter, she would of called me to check. I brought my car in for an appointment on Saturday to which I requested an oil change, brake evaluation and a tire rotation. Upon picking up my car the only reported concern on my inspection was to change my engine filter and that my brakes would need some work but it was not urgent and could probably get it done within the next couple months. After leaving, my car started making grinding noises when braking and accelerating leaving me to believe that something wasn't done correctly at Midas when they worked on my car. I took it back in on Thursday, not driving it much since Saturday, and now my inspection has a bunch of concerns and my price increased from $350 to almost $600 over the course of 3 days. I felt lied to, not valued, and taken advantage of. The customer service was not aligned to help me and I immediately requested that I take my car literally anywhere else. I will not be going to Midas ever again. I would rather spend the same amount at a mechanic that I trust and can be honest with me instead of taking advantage of me. read more

Took my truck in to get it worked on. Bald guy at front desk was super rude and wouldn't give me any time to explain my situation and what I needed them to work on. Asked him a few questions that were obviously above his pay scale and he told me I could find somewhere else to go and tossed me my keys back after I went to all the trouble to bring it in and log all my information in. Which by that point I was more than willing to take my business elsewhere. While I was at the desk a guy came from the back and said they installed the wrong spark plugs in a vehicle. This Midas is awful. Very slow at tire swaps and overall repairs. I worked at a body shop where they used Midas all the time and these clowns screw up all the time. Had to keep coming back and fourth to drop off and pick up cars that they forget to do alignments and various other services. This is not the first time I have used this Midas store, but this time they proved they are in a different league professionally than Big O Tires off of Woodmen and Rangewood. After a series of trips back to Big O to fix the same problem that was supposedly fixed on each visit, I ended up at Midas. They told me what was wrong and it was not what I had already spent $2800 for at Big O. Tyler was confident in diagnosing my issue from the start, and made sure they solved the issue before I picked my truck up. Tyler and Todd both are the most professional people I have ever met at any auto repair facility. They are honest, caring, understanding and go the extra mile to make sure you are walking away satisfied and confident that your vehicle was repaired. Presented a $24.99 coupon for an oil change at time of drop off. Midas charged $90. telling me that's what I asked for. Presented coupon again for $24.99, to 'appease' me they knocked it down to $75. Tried to argue my side and you can't get anywhere with them. This is the second time this has happened in a row. They won't tell you the price before service is done and they won't honor coupons. Two stars because the person who helped me was nice. Be advised, rotors don't always have to be turned when replacing pads. I knew my rotors were fine, but it was factored ($) in to the quote and completely unnecessary. I feel like if I was not a little knowledgeable, I would have been taken advantage of. My husband and I have purchased about 6 total of their Gold Cards. We have always stayed on top of oil changes and we never had any problems using the Gold Cards before. Since covid, like most people, we have only been going to work and to get groceries. Over this past weekend we went to get my oil changed (that was extremely past due) and was informed that our Gold Card had expired. Apparently you have to use all three of your oil services within a year. Which by the way, is posted in the shop, and it does say that on the Gold Card, I'm also sure they told us that originally too, but we had completely forgotten that fact since we had always previously been on top of the oil changes. The man at the desk, who almost always helps us when we come in, said he would give us a coupon to use. Ok, sounds good! (Even though I think that's strange when basically I prepaid for the oil changes.... but at the same time I understand the importance of staying on top of your car's health and with the purchase of the Gold Card you get a discount for being on top of it basically.) After we returned to pick up my car he ended up letting us use the Gold Card anyway :-) I sincerely appreciated that since I wasn't planning on spending any money that day on an oil change! We've taken our cars there for about 3 years now and have always had great service. I have recommended them to several people over the years too. Avoid this shop! Have sloppy mechanics. Had my oil changed there, and discovered they forgot to put the cap back on, so the oil was splashing out.... Thank god I noticed a smell of oil before I at driven to far so only had a mess and no engine damage.. At least - they tightened the oil filter... But I won't give they another chance to screw-up. I had to have my car serviced before an emergency trip across country and the manager called me during my trip to make sure everything was OK. **please read my entire review I wrote on another mechanic shop to understand why I was very satisfied with Midas.** I had 4 tires installed at Discount Tire next door (they were wonderful). Discount Tire took my vehicle over to Brakes Plus for an alignment after the tires were installed. Shortly thereafter, I got a call from Brakes Plus telling me that that they couldn't do the alignment without replacing other parts. They explained that both front inner tie rods had excessive play and the front camber was non-adjustable so the car would need a camber kit to properly set the alignment. Additionally, they stated that all four struts needed to be replaced. The quote totalled $1381. They were polite, but adamant that the work needed to be done before they could align my vehicle. Being naturally cautious, I decided to get a second opinion. So the next day, I took my vehicle to Midas located at Stetson Hills and Powers. They did a free inspection and had quite a different story. They stated that both inner tie rods were fine, just one outer tie rod had excessive play. Based on their inspection, they were very optimistic that they could fix my car by just replacing one tie rod, and then perform an alignment. They did a strut inspection and stated that none of the four struts were leaking, looked fine, and recommended that I wait until a problem is detected before changing the struts. Oh yeah, a camber kit was not necessary. So after changing the outer tie rod, performing the alignment, everything was within tolerance and the car is driving straight!! Out the door for just $232. Always get a second opinion if you're skeptical, in my case it saved me $1,100. So, what other conclusion can one draw? Either it's a case of incompetence or unethical business practices. I've learned my lesson, Midas from now on! read more

I unfortunately have to give at least one star. Midas quoted our insurance for new parts and extensive labor when my husband's car got broken in to costing us about $900 out of pocket. Turns out the labor was half their quote and they put in old parts in to our car. They reimbursed $200 back to us but nothing else. I was seeing them for years for oil changes paying extra for the high mileage oil. I highly doubt they used that oil if they even changed it at all. Very sleazy move on their part and I will never do business with them of any sort after they took advantage of our situation. read more

I've used this Midas several times for oil changes and they're very friendly, honest and prompt. There's always a coupon on the internet and they're pricing is good. I like the fact that they do additional checks, like brakes, for no additional cost. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because of their online booking system. Twice I've booked online and was supposed to receive confirmation within 30 minutes during business hours. I never received a confirmation, even on the following following business day. There is no way that the sensor in my tire is working perfectly fine when i bring it to fix a flat and drive away with a malfuntioning/non working sensor, they told me to drive the car for a couple of DAYS and so i did, they charged me $20 to fix the flat plus $5 for a valve. A sensor is about $80 and damaged mine replacing the valve, what makes me angry is that they kept coming up with excuses of why the sensor inside the tire was no longer working after they worked on it. They dont care about acountability! read more

I've been coming to Midas for a few years now. Their customer service and the quality of their work has always been impressive. The first time I came in, I was prepared to be hit with air filter issues and whatever else people try to get you to fix. They just changed my oil, though, and let me go. The next time I came in, I asked them to do a 90,000 mile check. When they came back with the status, they helped me understand what should be fixed right away and what could wait a few months. On our Camry a one year old battery was replaced because they didn't see a date or understand the code - the next week an estimate of $2000 + another $300 for the oil pan was given for our Taurus - Brakes Plus fixed it for $1300 & no it wasn't the head gasket as we had been told by Midas - will never go back read more

The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the manager is very nice. I bought a car and two weeks later the breaks started grinding. I called the car dealership and they told me they use this midas to check k and fix all their categorise it there and they would have them fixed for me. A month later and my breaks where still squirming and grinding. Luckily my boyfriend has built numerous cars with his dad. He took my wheels off and checked my breaks. My lug nuts where not torqued to spec, some where loose. Breaks where not sealed and over tightened and improperly installed. No wonder rocky mountain auto brokers have had so many bad reviews about things going wrong with their cars. Don't bring your car here. read more

They were going to run the full diagnostic which is pricey but were able to identify and fix the problem without running the full engine diagnostic saving me quite a bit.
