Took our 2011 Ford F-150 for new front brake pads. No big deal- or so you think! Truck went it dealership for minor extended-warranty items (gas cap, window not closing properly, etc). They heard a noise while moving the truck and found a brake pad installed the wrong way. The beginning of a nightmare! Not only would Dave Spinney, the owner of Midas at Coral Springs, refuse to give us his liability insurance information, but after he agreed to fix his faulty work, a day and a half later, he refused. Corporate for Midas gave me the run-around too. I also found their business license, issued by the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, is expired. License number MV86632. Public knowledge. Terrible. Went there for an oil change with a BOGO coupon, after I bought it, returned 4 months later for second oil change free, they said I couldn't do it because I didn't have a voucher that they never gave me. Told me I could pay AGAIN and get it for next time, nice try. I'd rather give my business and the brake job I needed done on my other car, to someone who knew something about customer service. I've gone out of my way by signing up just to write a review on this terrible business so other people won't have to deal with their lack of customer service. When I called Midas and told David my situation he told me to bring the car over and they would get things fixed right and in a timely manner. Do not go here! They are expensive, extremely slow and I feel like they are dishonest!!! I bought a groupon for an oil change and it included a free inspection. After waiting 2 hours for my oil change to be done, I was informed that my front brakes would need to be replaced. I told them I did not want to have it done right now and that my husband would take care of it. They continued to go on about how I can not drive it home that it is not safe for me or others on the road. Because of their scare tactic, I decided I would fork out the $500 and have it fixed now since they claimed it was unsafe and undriveable. I had them save the brake pads so I could show my husband and Dad and sure enough they still had a lot of life in them. 2 months later my brakes were acting funny again. I ended up having my Dad take my car back to Midas since their was a 3 month warranty on the brakes. I didn't want to take it in because I felt like they took advantage of me the first time. They looked at my car and said it is now the back brakes and it would cost around $800 for the pads and rotors to be replaced. The wheel bearings also needed to be replaced since we drove our vehicle without knowing the brakes were bad, but this was not included in the estimate. My dad told them that he would have my husband take care of them and sure enough, they told him that it was unsafe, he shouldn't drive, brakes are locked up, and gave him the same spiel they gave me. My Dad continued to tell them he was not going to have it done today since it is not his vehicle and they were very pushy and made him feel very uncomfortable with his decision. We ended up with another huge expense that could have been avoided If they would have replaced the back brakes at the same time as our front. I would definitely think twice before bringing your vehicle here!!!! read more

I am beyond pleased with the courteous and professional staff at this Midas location. I have had my car serviced here a couple times now, and I do not want to take my car anywhere else. I usually prefer to take my car to the dealership for service, but my husband has always had good experiences at Midas locations. The reviews for this location were great and prompted me to check them out. A couple months ago I took our car here for an oil change and asked them to check out the steering, since I'd been feeling and hearing a knocking when turning the wheel. Joel, the manager, investigated the steering issue and said it was an issue with a part that had been worn down. He immediately suggested I contact the dealership, since this issue had been a recall in the past and may be covered. He admitted it was a costly fix, due to labor and time, but I was so glad he pointed me in this direction first. Unfortunately the dealership told me there was no recall for this issue and it would not be covered under warranty. So I went back to Midas to have them replace the part. The fix took a long time, and I ended up staying there for almost the whole day. It was not a bad experience, though. I was able to work in the waiting area, and I walked over to a local Mexican restaurant for lunch. Joel also offered a ride home for me, if I wanted to do that. That was such a nice gesture. The best thing about this place is that they are low pressure. When Joel told me my brakes were worn, he said it wasn't an emergency, but I needed to consider getting them fixed in the near future. But, if you have a serious issue with your car, they will be honest about the urgency to fix it. I believe that is great customer service - honesty with professionalism. Both Joel and Kiran are great people to have at the front desk. I'm sure the techs in the back are at the top of their game, too. My boyfriend and I have been going to this place for 2 years. We go there mainly to change our oil. Every single time we go there, we leave with another issue. It never fails. Either suddenly we need new tyres, the alignment is off, the engine light comes on, brake issues...always something. Last week, my boyfriend went for an oil change and when he left he noticed his engine light came on.. a day later he realized one of his headlights was out. When his cousin helped him to see about his vehicle, he realised the low beam headlights was disconnected. Keep in mind, my boyfriend went there with the lights working and they told him "your headlight is out and it will be $66 to fix it. They also loosened the connection on the air filter, which made the engine shake, and the engine light to be on. We will not be returning to this place , they are a bunch of scammers and have been robbing us for two years. Its just crazy how they do this EVERY SINGLE TIME that we go there. Sadly, it took 2 years. Never again. read more

Went here because my mechanic was closed. told them in specifics what the problem was. They ran the diagnostics and no problems showed up on the system. Instead of trying to troubleshoot the problem just told me they didnt know what was wrong. so I just asked them to change my oil. The mechanic took my tires offmy car to rotate them which I didnt ask for them to do, plus they were all brand new with no wear on any of them so it did not need to be done. They broke 3 of the studs on 2 wheels. Only told me they stripped one. After I left I looked and found that it was broken, the other wheel they rigged 2 bolts on the other 2 broken studs and forgot to put a lug on the rear tire. I called them completely angry. the manager said they would fix them at no charge. but since my car is at another garage getting the repair I initially went to these so called experts for, I havent went back yet. I wouldnt recommend going here for anything, but if you do watch what they do and be careful. Not to mention they are extremely expensive and the mechanic that was attempting to work on my car did not even speak english read more

In needing an oil change and not wanting to chance it to any place not having any reviews, I looked this one up on Yelp and seeing most people were happy, I decided to give it a shot. It also didn't hurt that it was convenient to my morning commute. Initially I stopped by two days ago with a coupon (good only for that day) I found from the Midas website and found it was a bit backed up in cars so I made an appointment (for today) and was told by the woman behind the counter that they would honor my coupon (yay). So, I dropped in for my 9am appointment and realized that since I only use Mobil 1 synthetic the $20 coupon wasn't going to cover it, but since the Store Manager Yoel Victores prides himself on excellent customer service, they would knock off $10 off the difference of the price. This was a great deal because the coupon also usually includes a tire rotation, and other checks and inspections which I was still getting. The wait wasn't bad and Yoel checked on me from time to time to see how I was doing in the waiting area. I was impressed with the way he ran the shop. You could tell he was involved with every customer and made sure his crew responded appropriately to customer requests and needs. I will definitely be back for more services and recommend them to others who are looking for an honest, efficient auto center with fair market pricing. read more

I tried to schedule an appointment online, it said they would be in touch with me in an hour, never heard from them. I decided just to drop my car off at opening and take my chances. Posted open time was 7:30. No one was here until well after that. They said they could get my oil changed today and would call when it was done. I never received a phone call. When I tried to call to check on the status, I was on hold for 9 minutes before I hung up and called back. Then at pick up, they used to bring your car around for you but instead, I had to walk to the sketchy back overflow lot to get my car. I noticed they hadn't turned off my "oil change alert" so I pulled back up and no one knew how to do it so I had to park and go back inside to wait. Obviously it wasn't a horrible visit but these minor customer service annoyances will keep me from being a return customer. They used to be so awesome...not really sure what happened. read more
