Came a week ago, Saturday, at 2:00 pm for wheel alignment and I was told no can do since it's by appointment and takes 1-1/2 hours. There was no car when I walked in, instead they give me an appointment next week at 1:00 pm in which I arrived on time. My vehicle was serviced in at 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, I was waiting. When I asked why they didn't honor my appointment time? They answered, oohh! The appointment is to secure your spot. REALLY???. I was treated today like a walk-inn. To put it simply the best experience I have had with a Auto repair shop!! After a awful experience at another repair shop I was recommended to Midas ,Coral Springs location by a friend of the family. I scheduled an oil change with Ted . When I arrived I was greeted by Ted he was kind and considerate as he listen to my bad experience with the last repair shop . My experience gets even better when I spoke with their service manager Christian , he explained his thoughts on what I needed to consider fixing, never pushing me into any repairs !! I also told him what the last repair shop had done to my Bluetooth and air bag light and that they said they could not fix them even though they had caused these problems ,Christian said he would take a look and see what he could do. Had to visit them twice in 1 week for different issues. First time, had an appointment to diagnose a noise that ended up being a brake issue that they replaced in no time for a decent price. 2nd time, walked in without an appointment with a problem that appeared out of the blue. Car that would sometimes start, sometimes not. They ran a diagnostic, identified the issue was the battery. In less than 1 hour I was ready to leave with the new battery! Staff is kind and patient. They took the time to explain the issues and the options to solve for it. Price tag was reasonable for the great service I got. They are the slowest , laziest mechanics ever! Only go if here if you plan to drop your car off and not need it all day. The work will get done but even a tire mount or oil change will take hours if not the whole day. And they will probably forget to tell you your cars done after they finish it. I brought my 2012 Honda CR-Z in to get some plastic undercarriage paneling put back in place. Even though it was 30 mins until closing, the manager allowed me to bring it by as I lived down the street. Ray, the technician, did a quick and perfect job of fixing the issue and they even comped it for me out of courtesy for the issue being so minor; though it caused me MAJOR relief to not hear my undercarriage panels scrape on the ground. I brought 2 cars to this location for oil changes. They always up sell at any mechanic but they flat out lied and said one if the cars needed a $240 battery but when we took the battery to get checked it was at 95% operating! 2 weeks later I went to drive one of the cars and it started making a noise while I was on the road so I immediately returned home and had my boyfriend look under the hood and he discovered there wasn't a DROP of oil in the car I then noticed there was no sticker referencing the oil change date/mileage either so we immediately phoned and they said we didn't "need" a sticker and they for sure put oil in it. There was no leak and the car hadn't been driven til that day so what happened to the oil in 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!! So we went to the location and after a MILLION EXCUSES they finally put the oil in the car. Upon inspection of the second vehicle we found it in the same condition, NO OIL in the car and no sticker. When we returned with that car they started with bull crap again knowing that we had just reported the same problem the day before. I have taken both of my vehicles to this location under the management of Kyle who has been excellent at every visit I have ever made to this location for the last eleven years. Since becoming a client at this Midas location eleven years ago, I have not taken my vehicles anywhere else for anything, and both of my vehicles still run like new. I believe that Kyle and his entire team deserve recognition and additional bonuses for consistently excellent work. The experience was ok. I scheduled a oil change and it took 3 hours. They seemed to be under staffed when I was there on a Saturday morning and the lobby was empty and there was only one other car in the service bay with 5 others bays open. Now 1.5 hours later and they had to go get a special stem this time for another $9. They didn't need that stem last time and this time I didn't need the special filter I needed last time. This place will rob you. Be warned. I bought 3 tires for my wife back in June, they said the life of the tire is 40-50K miles. I just got an oil change and they said I had 2 tires that need to be replaced and 2 tires that were half life. To go through half the recommended life if the tire in 6 months is ridiculous. Run for your cars life. They will mess up multiple things that can ruin your car. You'd think they were in the car sales business how much got screwed up. Tires should be balanced, alignments should be done so you are straight and your tires aren't bowed out and you arent driving off the road, alignments shouldn't be blamed on parts that cant cause that hell, power steering fluid shouldn't be above the max level, coolant shouldn't be above the max, I'm scared to look under my car to make sure the oil nut wasn't stripped or even put back on. read more

Be sure you're getting what you asked for and agreed to, and expect to wait at least an hour for an oil change with an appointment. I took my car in for an oil change with a coupon that had 2 options, conventional and synthetic oil. I gave the guy the coupon. While they were working on the car, I asked them how much it was to replace the wiper blades and was told $29.99. I told them to do the wipers. When they told me how much the total was, it didn't make sense. I didn't have my reading glasses with me, so I asked him to tell me the items on the job. They told me the wipers were $49.95. I stopped him right there and told him that the other salesman quoted me $29.99. With that, the other guy came in and first said he told me $49.95 (after being prompted by my rep). After I reminded him that he told me $29.95, he confirmed it. They re-did the invoice and I paid. I just wanted to get out of there. Once I got home and put on my reading glasses, I found that they charged me $23.98 for the wipers and added a $12.50 labor charge which they never disclosed. So I paid 36.48 for wipers I was quoted $29.96 for. But that's not the worst of it. The amount I was told to pay began to not make sense to me as I was driving home. As I was looking over the invoice, I saw that they did a conventional oil change to a car that required synthetic oil. When I called them about this I happened to get the same salesman. He told me that I asked for conventional. He confused me with yesterday when I brought my other car in and specified 5W30 oil since many companies think it takes a different kind. Then he went on to say that it doesn't make any difference except for the length of time before you need an oil change. I know that conventional oil is thicker than synthetic, so I have my doubts. Best customer service EVER. I was in desperate need of an oil change and did not want to go alone for fear of being taken advantage of as a female. After procrastinating way too long I was desperate at work and found Midas was close. When I contacted them they said there was no wait so I went to check them out. The guy at the desk was super friendly. They had a nice waiting area with coffee, magazines, and a TV. The service manager let me know my battery was bad and without forcing me to buy a new one gave me a service report to bring to the dealer. I was SO impressed. After being shocked at the insane cost estimate for brake pads at another automotive service company, I found Midas of Coral Springs. Kyle the service manager at Coral Springs Midas couldn't have been more honest, professional and firendly. He took the time to show me the amount of wear on my breaks and why it was a serious problem. He also tested my break fluid and proved and showed me that ulike the other company, it wasnt necessary to flush out the break fluid, being genuinley happy that he saved me an extra 60.00. Kyle saw that my front fog light was broken and ordered the parts to fix it. I am now a loyal customer of Midas of Coral Springs and will only use their services. Waited an hour and a half for them to tell me that they don't have an exhaust flange and that they didn't want to weld the exhaust. Every other shop in town would have had it done in literally 10 minutes. Was lucky enough for them not to charge me their 130.00 an hour. Trying to support my local business, a few months ago I was getting an oil change on my Fiat which includes tire rotation. When picking up the car, they told me they had stripped the lug nut on my rear wheel and it needed to be repaired. The result? I didn't in get my car back for another DAY, and, I now have a repaired wheel on my relatively new car. Today, trying to supprt this local business again and give them another chance, I made an 8:00 am appointment to drop my car off for an oil change. When making the appointment, I confirmed I would be the first car in at 8:00 am. When arriving, a "walk-in" was taken and I was asked to wait. When I asked the manager, he told me the "he beat you to it." I said, but I have an appointment and he's a walk-in. He replied "well, he beat you." I left. Even though I somehow thought it was a good idea to make an appointment at 8am on a Sunday for an oil change, I'm super happy that I chose to have it done here. The waiting room is large, clean, quiet and stocked with coffee. However, I didn't stay in the waiting area that long because I took a stroll for some breakfast pastries at La Union Bakery (highly recommend, but look for another review over there). I came back and watched some TV while I enjoyed their Keurig Coffee Maker and ate my pastries. The staff was courteous and the prices were great- I think I paid about 30-35 for my oil change and tire rotation. DANGEROUSLY INCOMPETENT outfit. Shockingly rude. Took car in for a simple oil change. Waited 2 1/2 hours. Drove 9 miles when warning lights came on. Low oil pressure. Checked dipstick (see picture). No oil in engine!!! Oil all over the ground under car. Called manager Bob. Was promised tow truck, but 2 hours later and no truck. Called back and was told by Joel that I was "a jerk". 3 hours later car towed back and oil filter found to be squirting oil all over engine. We arrived at the store at 7:30 am on the dot. It was still closed even though it was supposed to be open by 7:30am. The manager, Yoel, strolled up to the door at about 7:45 am. He looked hungover, cranky and unperturbed by the fact that he was late. He never acknowledged us. Didn't even bother to greet us. When we walked up to the counter he looked straight at us without saying a word so finally I gave up waiting for him to say hello or ask us how he could help us and began asking for an oil change. When I showed him the coupon for the oil change he informed me that it would be almost $30.00 more expensive because I had a German car that required a special filter. When I explained that they should disclose that on the coupon so people wouldn't waster their time, he replied "You should go to your dealership and get it done there for double the price." I explained that the new price that he was quoting me was in fact the same amount that the dealership charges to which he replied "great, then why don't you go there if it's the same?" I explained that I was relying on the price stipulated on the coupon and that I was in a hurry. The Midas store is 5 minutes from my house. The dealership was 40 minutes away with traffic. When I decided to stay and just get it done, he was intent on punishing me for questioning his pricing. He made me wait a ridiculous amount of time. When I noticed my mechanic had walked into the waiting area I asked him what was taking so long he replied "your car has been ready for 20 minutes but Yoel told me to make you wait." I got up to check to see where Yoel was. He was sitting at a table outside where he was surrounded by mechanics having a lively conversation while his waiting room was full of customers and he had two people waiting in line to drop off their vehicles. When I signaled for him to come to the counter, he pretended not to notice me and made all of us wait another 10 minutes until he was done fraternizing with his co-workers. When he finally came back inside, he was just as unpleasant with everyone else. Then he got into a heated exchange with the lady in front of me that had come back to complain to him for charging her for something that her vehicle never needed. She had gone for a second opinion. He literally told her in Spanish to get out of the store and to not bother him again. Then it was our turn. We paid. He never thanked us for our business or acknowledged us at the counter. We've never experienced this kind of gross mistreatment in any business. This person must be very connected to the owners to be able to get away with this level of lack of professionalism and blatant disrespect for Midas's customers. I needed an oil change and found a coupon for a Midas location. I decided to give it a try. The team at the Coral Springs location is phenomenal! They were polite, and real with me. Many times I get an oil change they see a female and try to up sell me. They tell me the coupons not good I need this.... This and this... These guys did the opposite! They have won my business! Plus, they are Coral Springs chamber members and to me that's a great positive! I will be back for any needs I have with my vehicle.
