If I could give this shop 10 stars, I absolutely would. Late Friday afternoon, just before closing, my 2016 BMW 320i suddenly lit up with drivetrain and suspension malfunction warnings, and the car was struggling to start. I've invested a tremendous amount into maintaining this car over the years, including replacing the engine, so seeing those warning lights all at once immediately sent my anxiety through the roof. To make matters worse, I was only two weeks post-surgery, on my way to a doctor's appointment, and already having a very challenging week. When I called, Chayce didn't hesitate. He told me to bring the car in immediately and said they would take care of it, even though they were close to closing for the day. From the moment I arrived, both Chayce was incredibly kind, professional, and reassuring. He quickly diagnosed the issue, ordered a new battery, properly registered it with BMW, and rather than rushing me out the door, he kept the car an extra day to verify that every warning light had been resolved and that the battery truly was the root cause. He also fixed the rear tire sensors that hadn't been reading correctly. That level of thoroughness and integrity is hard to find. What makes this place even more special is that they're a family-owned business that specializes in European vehicles. My BMW is no longer under warranty, and knowing they even partner with the BMW maintenance shop I use in Fort Lauderdale gave me even more confidence that my car was in the right hands. Thank you, Chayce, for going above and beyond when I needed it most. Thank you, Will, for being so welcoming and supportive throughout the entire process. They are thieves of the highest order!! After charging me $1106 for new front brakes on my Mini Cooper, the electrical system shut down twice. They fixed the problem they cause and told me I needed a new toggle switch for the convertible roof. They quote $802 for the part and over $1500 when labor, shop materials were added in. Firestone did the complete job, with Mini Cooper parts for $324. Parts and labor - $324. Shores Automotive is the most dishonest business of any kind with whom I've done business. STAY AWAY!!!! The only reason they got one star is because there is nothing lower. read more

They tried to rip me off for over $1000, but I found out just in time that the repair was covered by Mercedes dealership. I got it done at the dealer for no charge. There is such a thing as extended warranty coverage offered by the dealerships for certain items, make sure you check this out before you pay a bunch of money for a repair.That is covered under warranty, even if your car is four years old. read more

Beware of Shore's Automotive! Don't be fooled by the smiles, handshakes, hugs and bibles on the counter. They are the most deceitful and overpriced people I have ever met. Shockingly, they tried to get me for an extra $5,437.00!! After repairing an oil leak (which cost me over $2,200.00) they called to say my car was finished but now it wouldn't start. It was completely dead! So they "contacted Mercedes Benz" and found out it was a steering lock module and the cost to repair it would be $5,437.00. All I needed to do was to email them my license and registration so they could order the part and start the job. Conrad said that Billy may be able to work with me on the price!?!? After doing a little research on my own I couldn't find the module for anywhere close to thousands of dollars and Billy informed me that that was because they only use MB parts and not to believe everything I read on the internet. Well, Billy, the only place I did the research was directly on the MB website! I was devastated. It's not like I could take the car and come back when I was financially able to do the work. My car was dead!! I couldn't believe this was happening. I was feeling sick to my stomach. Something just wasn't right. Well if they need my license and registration, instead of emailing it, I'll bring it to them. So, I had a friend drive me to Shore's Automotive! When I pulled up I took out my spare keys that I brought with me. Much to my surprise my car unlocked and guess what, I got in it and it STARTED RIGHT UP! There was nothing wrong with my car!!! Conrad walked away and Billy just looked like a deer in headlights! WOLVES IN SHEEP CLOTHING! Shame on you all!! Unfortunately, now I have to have the car checked out to see if they actually did any of the other work that I paid thousands of dollars to have done! read more

I've been wanting to find an alternative to the dealer for some time. I almost tried a garage 1 mile from my house but the reviews were not good. Shores is only 4-5 miles so, when the battery on my X5 died, I figured this was a good test. They had great communication and explained what had to be done (it's not straight forward) and did it promptly. I also had them fix a plate on my seat that had been broken for a few months. The dealer wanted $800 to fix it but Shores did it for $420!! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and will look to them first next time my vehicle needs anything. read more

I drive a 2015 audi convertible and was having issues with my back driver wheel well, and turns out when I brought it in there was more issues than just the wheel well. However, thankfully the staff at Shores was extremely helpful and got everything fixed within a day. I tried Shores as I thought, and they advertise, that they were a cheaper solution than BMW for my head gasket repair. When I challenged them on the cost, they admitted that they added hours for a test drive to ensure that the vehicle was operating correctly and to clean the engine. Essentially they had twice the hours than the dealership would. Making matters worse, on my way home from picking up my car, a sensor that governs the transmission, that had worked when it went into their shop, had failed rendering the car unable to accelerate up a bridge incline. I guess the test drive missed that. Having had enough I returned to the dealer. Buyer beware! read more

I can't speak about their ability to fix other cars, but if you have a Mini Cooper, BEWARE. I came to them a few months ago when I noticed my coolant was leaking and my engine was too hot to drive. They charged me $3400 to replace the thermostat housing, coolant pipe, air intake boot, and oil filter housing adaptor gasket set. When I got my car back, my AC was no longer working, and I got a notification that I needed to get an oil change. They said they must have accidentally moved something around and to just bring in my car so they could fix the AC free of charge, then decided they actually weren't responsible for it. After a lot of back and forth, they decided to fix it for me and put in a whole new condenser. At the same time, however, I noticed my coolant levels were once again low. They told me I had another coolant leak because the manufacturer they use sold them a defective part, so they agreed to fix it for free. I wasn't going to post a negative review since they agreed to fix their errors, but now ... my radiator hose became loose since they didn't attach it properly. Then it BURST. So now all the coolant leaked out once again. I had to get my car towed and brought to another shop. They have to replace the hose and put in fresh coolant. This is totally unacceptable, especially since I'm a student with no income using my loan money to fund this. read more

I WARN EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! First off let me say that I really thought that I might like this place. It was a small shop and seemed like a friendly owner. I was having a weird sound coming from under the front of the car and was scared to drive it. I arrived and they looked briefly at the car. Since the car was up in the air, I also asked if he could check why my brake oil was needing refilled quite often because I wan't noticing any brake fluid on the ground. The owner, Billy, said that he had to order a part for my front end and it would take a week to get it in. He told me to go ahead and drive the car until then. He also said it looked like the rotor wasn't put on correctly and that was probably why my oil was needing refilled. I waited and I got the call the part was in so I made an appointment to drop my car off. I dropped my car off in the morning and his wife took me to work. I told him, since he hadn't really looked at what might be the problem, that if it was going to be an expensive repair (at this point he hadn't really looked at the issue) I didn't want to spend too much on it and to call me. Thats when his shop completely tried to RIP ME OFF! I waited all day and finally got the call from Billy. He said that the repair was going to cost around $500 and that given the miles on my car, he didn't want to do the repair. (Remember I was afraid to drive it because the noise was very loud and I would often have to stop in the middle of the road before the grinding noise under my feet would stop). He THEN told me that he fixed the brakes for $500 so the brake fluid wouldn't be leaking anymore. WHAT?? He asked if I wanted to pay for it over the phone and he would have someone drop my car off at my work. I told him I was busy and I'd get back to him later. HE FIXED A BRAKE PROBLEM I DIDN'T WANT FIXED AND WAS CHARGING ME $500 FOR IT?? I had a co-worker drop me off at the shop and I told Billy that I was not going to pay for a repair that I didn't authorize, and that the State of Florida requires a written estimate before any work is to be done stating the work, price, and location of the shop doing the repairs. He then got in my face and screamed at me..said he was going to take the part I did not authroize off my car, which I didn't let him. He came after me like he was going to hit me and then got in my co-workers face and almost punched him. I couldn't believe it. I was almost ready to dial 911 when his partner made him go back into the office and then my co-worker and I left. I WARN ANYONE WHO WANT THEIR CAR REPAIRD...STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS MANIAC AND HIS SHOP and know the tatics that his shop uses to make money. Its illegal and he knows it since he is supposidly in the "auto repair" business in the State of Florida!!! And to try to attack us as we stood in front of his shop. STAY AWAY!! read more

I went to Shores Automotive Inc twice. I gave this company a try On 4/27/21 & 5/14/21. I paid in total $1693.68 in cash & $451.22 by debit card, totaling $2144.90 spent in total. Billy Craven, the owner lies with a fake kindness and once he frauds you his whole demeanor changes. He is a con artist a crook that will lie to you with a smile. I specifically advised Billy Craven at Shores Automotive that I was looking for a mechanic that I can trust. And I told him that in order for me not to be worried about doing the transmission fluid change, by giving his business a chance versus Mercedes Benz dealership is that Liquid Moly must be put in my car for the transmission fluid change. Billy assured me that Liquid Moly will be put into the car. He even billed me at a higher amount for the use of liquid moly than what his shop normally charges. I discovered by another mechanic shop when I got an oil change and full inspection done that Shores Automotive never used liquid moly. I was told that the transmission fluid change was never even done based on the observation of the oil. I was also advised that the other services that I had paid for such as cabin air filter replacement and right suspension work was never done. In addition, I was advised that Shores Automotive had broken my engine/transmission mounts that hold up my engine, leaving my transmission sitting lower and out of place than where it should. When I reached out to Billy the owner of Shores Automotive, it took him 4 days to respond. However, when Billy was befriending me to spend money at his shop he was very responsive. Billy's text response was pure sarcasm and mockery. Instead of him requesting that I come back to the shop so that he can take a look at what the other mechanic advised & resolve the issue, Billy responded with exclamation marks in his text responses, basically implying a mood of anger. Billy then ended his mockery text messages with the words, thank you for sharing your thoughts." After I responded and advised Billy Craven that I was aware of how he mocked me for services that he did not perform, Billy discontinued all forms of communication. I am out of $2144.90 to have my car fixed, which is not easy to come by for services that were never done. I was then mocked by the Billy Craven the owner of Shores Automotive with all communication cancelled. Since Billy knows that he committed such fraud, Billy will not communicate with me. It is evident that he has frauded me and it has been done with the situation of Shores Automotive leaving me being at a total loss of $2144.90 with an "Oh well approach. " Family businesses like Shores Automotive Inc who knowingly and intentionally steal, lie and charge for fraudulent auto repair services should cease to be in business and they should cease to exist. As a family business, Shores Automotive Inc should run an establishment where Billy doesn't steal and lie since this family auto repair business is their only means of future survival. Billy Craven is a liar. I reported Shores Automotive for Auto Fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau CFPB. I suppled the federal agencies with proof of services charged were never done. read more

I read the two other reviews & felt the need to post about the service I have received from this shop. First, i don't know this family personally - I had my car serviced here when it was owned by Bob Shores. When the Craven family took over the shop I was hesitant, but decided to try them out. From past experiences I can say that I hate everything about having cars serviced as I feel like people are constantly trying to over sell you & rip you off. However, DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS FAMILY WAS REFRESHING! I've had work done at this shop at least 12 times in the last 3 years (we have 3 cars & I bring them all here). I honestly laughed out loud at the review that said the owner was screaming at a customer and almost punched him. These business owners are some of the most kind, mild mannered, soft spoken people I think I have ever met. He has never 'oversold' me on ANYTHING EVER. I've come in asking if I really needed certain things that FORD service department had recommended & after checking the car he has told me no. Another time I stopped in for tires & after calling around he sent me to another shop because he couldn't compete in tire pricing. What place do you know would do that???And compared to the quotes I get from Ford service department, Craven Automotive usually comes in 50-65% cheaper. Having just moved to Delray Beach from my hometown (where I knew everyone), it was a scary task to find someone I could trust to work on my E350 Mercedes. I chose Shores Automotive strictly from their reviews (primarily on google), which were stellar. My experience with Billy and Conrad was amazing. First, I called the shop at 7:30 am, and Billy, the owner, answered the phone himself -- points for that alone -- and told me to bring the car in that same day. Second, he offered to do the computer diagnostic free of charge to try and nail down my problem. It was correctly diagnosed, part was ordered, and car was ready the next day. They both went out of their way to explain the issues involved, and called us as each step progressed to let us know what was going on and what the costs were looking like. Finally, when we picked up the car, Billy told us he'd be calling in a week to check that everything was as it should be. Although my car was unable to be repaired, from start to finish, Billy was upfront and honest. Through a family referral, I brought my Kia in (not a car that is typically worked on in his shop, but I am sure they will cater and work with you if they are able to) because the steering wheel didn't feel right. He diagnosed the problem properly and obtained the proper part via special order, but was unable to make the proper repair as certain tools were needed which only the Kia dealership would have. Due to this, he didn't attempt to fix the problem and potentially create a bigger one as a result. He informed me that they were not able to fix the issue, but provided me all the paperwork to take to the Kia dealership detailing the actual issue with my vehicle. I asked since the part that was purchased was special order, if he would like me to pay (I know he will be out the money because of this) to which his response was, "No, that wouldn't be the right thing to do"). This situation would not deter me from coming back in the future should I need to. My grandfather has been taking his Lincoln to Billy for years and is very satisfied with his quality of work and expertise. If you want honesty, which is hard to come by these days, you won't be disappointed by bringing your car in to this shop. read more
