firestone of coconut creek is fire. no pun intended, but they are. not only do they offer great deals which we got by three tires get one free! their prices were much better than costco and they didn't charge for mountain and balance. in addition, our dealer told us we needed brake pads and rotors for my daughter's volkswagen jetta. firestone called us and said no need for rotors and save us an additional nearly $200 by being honest. most repair stations these days don't operate like that! these people do very honest people and we got a great deal to begin with and then ended up saving even more money. jerrard was our technician and he was the one who said there was no need to pay more for rotors when they were already good. this kind of service is great and these days and ages when it's hard to support a family these guys are doing the right thing and being honest. i would highly recommend firestone of coconut creek to anybody! thank you so much guys.! thanks you to our technician, jerrard! you guys rock read more

Received no calls, called back 3 times at 4pm and no one answered. Went there to check and got ignored the person at the desk for a good 10 minutes before they even acknowledged me. We dropped the car off around 11 am to fix a tire that had a nail in it. They told us it would be an hour and a half to two hours, so we left to run errands. We called around 2 pm, and the car was not ready. We were told they would call us back soon. We called again around 4:30 pm, and they said it would be ready by 6 pm because that is when they close. We show up at 6 pm and the car was still not ready. Two other people showed up to pick up their cars that were finished and they both were upset because nothing they requested to be fixed was actually done. They put an exorbitant amount of air in the tire after patching it. It's at 44 psi while the rest of the tires are at 32 psi. Customer service was also lacking. Don't trust this place to adequately fix your vehicle problems. read more

Today, I brought in a vehicle because I had a severe oil leak. The other day Patrick had a technician diagnose the issue and came back with an estimate for the work, and worked with me on price and then set up the appointment for the following day as I had to bring it in earlier because it was a lengthy repair. We saw a considerable change on our recent warranty claim and visit to this location. Employees tried to assist fairly, installers were good and added value, and ultimately a positive experience overall during the COVID pandemic. We have had two sets of tires wear out quickly after normal city use by my wife. Perhaps the South Florida heat and heavy SUV are culprit, but warranty isn't even close to tire offering. The corporation provided a fair prorated offer and we accepted and chose a different brand. They tracked down our request and installed in about a week. The installation went well and no chips or damage to wheels. This is quite comforting and installer should always be tipped for taking time and doing things right. We always do so when maintaining a vehicle. A Fuji set was installed in under two hours. They even dressed tires to make them shiny. -- We didn't really need it, but nice little touch. The only challenge is still the lack of maintenance that Firestone does on its building. Pressure cleaning and/or paint is very needed on this property. It looks dirty and could so easily be repaired. The owner should put a little more money into property to keep parking lot clean also. read more

The employee went to the back and returned to the front to tell me that someone else was getting their alignment done and that it would be another 2-3 hours before my vehicle was done. The employee and I had a calm exchange but he was rude the whole time about it saying that there was no value and that no matter how much I spent as a customer, I would be given no priority. I've given them the benefit of the doubt way too many times, but now it's gotten to the point that they want to add extra stuff to my bill when I've only asked for certain services, even after I called back to let them k ow I did not want that extra service as I see the preliminary work order and the extra stuff they added. To match the ones already on there. He says "the only tires I have in stock are "Firestone Fuel savers". I say ok can you get the Destinations? Mind you, I have been going here for over 20 years and have had countless cars serviced here. "No, those are the only tires I can get." I ask "are they not making any destinations le2 OR le3 anymore?" He responds, "I don't know WHAT they're making". Great ambassador for the brand. I'm like a Firestone only carries ONE model of tire? He says yes, those are the only tires I can get. He must have a ton in inventory or there is a promotion and refuses to sell or get anything else in that size . Then he hung up on me. My wife got scared and pulled off from sawgrass to 441. Luckily she pulled into this parking lot where Firestone is. It's raining. And they saw this damsel in distress , got the car right in, and Stanford fixed it immediately and didn't charge us. I gave him $10 anyway even if it was no big deal. Friday morning I started my day out by walking to my car as every other morning just to find my car wouldn't start! Ugh! So I Ubered to work , bummed a ride home. By them not giving me a hard time with the upselling, not over charging, and actually caring this business has gained my trust and I will be using them for my repair and maintenance shop. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AS MECHANIC SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!! I went in there Sep 25 to get an alignment. (That was least of my concerns). I spoke with Ryan (mechanic) over the phone before bringing my car in and expressed to him the severity of my brakes squeaking. I brought my car in, and Ryan helped me. When I was talking to him it was hard to tell if he was acknowledging me or not. (It was like he wasn't there mentally). I told him about the alignment as well as expressed IN DETAIL how important it was for me to get the squeaking noise to stop on my brakes. I told him to please fix them no matter what it takes (I couldn't take the noise anymore!). I dropped my car off 2pm. They didn't tell me "about" when it would be ready. I had to call them at 5:15pm. Jeff (customer service guy) answered rudely and had NO IDEA what was going on! So, I hung up and sat in limbo again. Jeff finally called me at 6:40 and said, "your car is ready to be picked up". No one there EVER updated me on the progression on what was done. (looking back it was bc NOTHING was done!) I went there and he handed me my keys and I asked about the brakes and he had NO IDEA ABOUT ANYTHING on the brakes!! He rummaged through the paperwork trying to find an answer. He said they were fine!! (OMGGGGG). I expressed to him how important it was to me. Ryan the mechanic had already left. Then, on top of all of it, he wanted to charge me to "examining" a noise!!! I couldn't actually believe it. WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!! I brought it somewhere else the following week, and it needed new rotors, brake pads, and a new right rear caliper. My wife has been using this location for oil changes, tire replacement etc. For the most part they had been doing a decent job. Unfortunately recently our car began to knock and jerk. The engine has only 60,000 miles on it and we get maintenance done religiously. Because of the nature of the problem we took car to dealership. We were quite shocked when we were told there was no measurable oil in the engine. The previous two changes had been done at Firestone. And there was no tell tale sign of leakage or burning oil. The dealership checked entire engine for loose parts and the net result was: there was no oil in the engine. When my wife contacted the manager of Firestone, she asked him outside because she didn't want to embarrass him in front of potential customers. He accepted responsibility and asked her to come back with a final total of what this had cost us. Once we knew the extent of the costs to repair (negligible) and a rental car ($300+) we called the dealership and were told the manager was out and he'd be back at 5:30PM. We went over around 5:45PM and because her experience with the manager had been reasonable, I waited in the car. Several minutes later my wife returned, visibly upset. Turns out the manager wasn't there. A non entity named Mike was. He's the service manager which in hindsight, explains a lot. He was rude and offensive to my wife. He lied about what time the manager was going to be back (he denied telling us 5:30PM) and refused to either text the manager or call him (she didn't ask for his number). I came in and this person had the smug smirk of someone that thinks he's better than he is. When I asked him to please text the manager he said ' I'm not texting or calling anyone'. So I then asked him to contact corporate he said ' I'm not calling anyone for you so forget it.'. That's when I asked him what his name was and this classless person refused. 'I'm not telling you anything either'. That's when I lost it. I called him every derogatory thing I could think of (which in hindsight they were all accurate). After we left I called corporate. They were very nice taking all the information. Of course they never followed up. The following morning the manager called my wife and was apologetic for what had happened. He was readily willing to pay for whatever money had been spent. And was good to his word. This review isn't aimed at the manager (well maybe a little). This is directed squarely at the creep Mike. Based on Yelp reviews it's obvious he's been an issue for others in the past. And because the manager allows him to continue being a jerk, he deserves some blame too. I went in today to replace my battery and the service rep tried to grossly overcharge me for the service. I was quoted a price of $119.99 +$15 for a battery + labor = $134.99. The service rep originally quoted me a price of $195 and then lowered it to $164 after I showed him the email quote with my exact car specifications and the store's exact location. The rep refused to honor the price I was quoted and kept stating that the labor on my car was extra. I have never ever heard this one before. A battery replacement on any non hybrid vehicle requires a simple disconnect of the old and the reconnect of the new. This rep was trying to pull one over on me but I kept insisting that he should honor the estimate provided. He refused and said that the email estimate I had received with the exact same location and my exact car specifications were incorrect.
